I keep getting an error when I attempt to upgrade to windows 7. It says I have to upgrade my HP USB sync driver, that driver isn't even supported on Vista. I can't find it anywhere on my computer, and it won't continue the upgrade till it's fixed. Any suggestions?
i'm running a windows 7 home premium 64 bit, and for some movies, the video will start in-sync for about 40 minutes, then slowly get farther and farther out of sync, making watching the video un-watchable after another 10 minutes. but it does not do this with all video types. it also does not do this with netflix, Internet, or anything else online.
i'm running a geforce gtx 660m, all drivers are up to date. the files that work are: mp4, files that don't work are: mkv, avi
those are the only files i have tried. it's done this since i got this computer a couple months ago
I currently have the SLI/Chipset/Video drivers running but when I try to install the High Definition Audio/Graphic/Chipset updates (or driver downloads from HP), I get this error:
Code: Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been cancelled. (9998) As for now, I have enough running on my system to be happy with the install. But I would like to have the ability to use the high def audio etc., that are meant for the system.
I've tried everything within Windows 7; safe-mode, compatibility mode, updated driver from device manager, windows update.... everything. Anybody have any insight?
im trying to run three hanns hz281s off a radeon 6950 and trying to run just the one atm straight from the gpu. Catalyst 11.6 and 11.5 wont show up in the programs after attempting installation.
My Windows is Window 7 64 bit that came pre-installed.I purchased this computer about 2 weeks ago November 2011 and I have never re-installed the OS.I have gotten this particular blue screen error ever since I started installing initial applications into the computer. I just removed Zone Alarm but I still want this application to run on this computer. I am not sure if it is Zone Alarm or another application. I am attaching the BSOD dump and system file collection files as well as the System Health Report.
I recently purchased a Logitech USB headset, and it worked fine for the first few days I had it. I noticed, however, about two days after the purchase that it failed to work. My USB mouse worked fine, however, so I figured it was the headset. I discarded the headset and continued using the built-in microphone. Later, however, when I had to restart my system in order to install an update, my mouse stopped working as well (they work fine on other computers). I looked to see what the problem was in the Device Manager, and my Universal Serial Bus driver was apparently damaged.
As well as my Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller and my Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller. I attempted to uninstall, reboot my system, and then let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers, but they always fail to do so in the middle of the installation process. I then attempted to do a system restore the day before both the Windows update and then before the problems with the USB headset, but the problem persisted. If all else fails, I might have to reformat, but I do not want to have to result to that extreme since I cannot salvage anything of value onto an external hard drive.
The PCI to USB Controller has the error: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
The OpenHCD USB controller has the error: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
The Universal Serial Bus USB Controller has the error: The Drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28). The system cannot find the file specified. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I currently run on an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC and run Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 (64-bit)...
Basically I reinstalled Windows 7 (Home Premium if it makes a difference) and wiped my hard-dive to attempt to get rid of a virus that made my computer crash constantly on start up. It didn't work, but that is beside the point. Now I'm getting driver errors about my Ethernet and Network Controller, and I can not connect to the internet with wireless or cables. Apparently I have WAN Miniport Network adapters and no other Network adapters.
I am getting BSODs while playing games. They are irregular and can happen every half hour or several hours in between.
Rig is: Asus Sabertooth P67 (latest bios 3029, after installing these more problems occured) Intel i5 CPU Nvidia Geforce 9800GT Corsair Vengeance 4gb x 4
All drivers are the latest. Graphics, chipset, SATA, BIOS and so forth. I have run both memtest86 which showed no errors in individual testing of the memories but when I had them all in and ran it an error showed up. I have done the chkdsk. Both /f /r and without it. Did show up errors but claims to be fixed now.
Ntoskrnl is the driver that always shows up. What I really need to know is if this is a hardware or driver problem. My biggest question is if it is a motherboard issue or not. I had bsod problems before I updated BIOS but they happened more frequently after. Attaching the three latest minidumps.
I've been having problems with artifacts (sprinkled dots and rainbow-ish shapes) popping up on my screen whenever I put my laptop to any more demanding use, like games, videos, hi-res images, etc. This leads to the system hanging up, repeated "Driver stopped responding and recovered errors", and eventually a blue screen. If I shutdown my computer and restart it, it tends to go away for a few days before returning to normal. I ran the Furmark stress test and it immediately caused the above symptoms and I had to stop it. I'm aware that this kind of problem may have several possible causes. I'm hoping maybe someone with a similar system (see my system specs) has overcome this.Edit: Wow, great timing. I was just trying to play Osmos just now and I got an error message I never noticed before. The game froze up and the "driver stopped responding" message came up but this time I got an Nvidia Open GL error that said "The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver and is unable to continue. The application must close. [URL]
I have set up WMC on Win 7 x64 and all is well apart from the EPG.
The correct time is shown, but the programmes are all a few hours out. If I select a channel, the correct programme shows, but when I go back to the EPG, they are all out of bonk again.
I was wondering if it was possible to sync two folders together so that if I change anything on one of the files, the other one will automatically sync to it. I want to use this for my Mincraft Servers, as I would always have a safe backup of my servers.
i'm using windows 7 32-bit, i7 processor, 4gb ram, onboard audio (with realtek) and a geforce gt220 video card.when i play a video the audio is always faster than the video. i use umplayer, so fortunately i can use the plus or minus keys to sync everything up. however on Internet or other online videos it's almost always out of sync, as well as when i watch something streamed from my pc to my xbox using windows media center. i'm thinking it's either a windows 7 problem or a hardware problem. i've googled it and found nothing similar with a solution.oh, and i use avira anti-virus, not norton or mcafee.
got a slight problem. got an acer m5201 comp which i have changed a few parts and upgraded to windows 7 premium 32bit. i have a nividia 9800gt gfx card
all the audio from films, websites and itunes are out of sync by about 1second.
I have email accounts set up in Windows Live Mail on my work computer and need to sync those with accounts on my personal. I've created the account on my personal and have received all the emails in my inbox... but is there any way to export and import a whole account so the sub folders are synced too?
Is there such a thing? Chrome and FF import of bookmarks and backup is seamless. It took me half an hour to update IE bookmarks. And sorting them A-Z. is there an easier way? I'd like to start using IE some again--but this is WAY too labor intensive.
I can't get my WD Passport to sync with my Windows 7 laptop. The WD site tells me the WDSync software is not compatible with windows 7 and that is true. ActiveSync won't recognize my WD Passport either. Is there a patch or other free software I can download to keep my Passport and laptop synced?
In last SEVEN days I've added music in WMP on my desktop pc. It took me so much because I watched out to get all of the artist, album, genre, year,etc... information correctly and believe me doing it with 70GB of music was pain in the a**. When I finally finished it, I wanted to transfer all the music (with all mp3 data) to My notebook WMP via LAN-cable and I couldn't do it. I only can transfer all the music to my notebook but when i add it to my WMP, files don't have the information mentioned above.
Recently, within the past couple of weeks or so, whenever I play a video (avi, wmv, mp4) in Media Player (or VLC) the the video and audio is out of sync. It's not out by much, but it is clearly noticeable. Oddly, if I play them in Media Player Classic they appear to be in sync (or as near as).I know for a fact that these videos used to play fine, so it's not a problem with the files themselves. I haven't knowingly downloaded any codecs or anything else that may have caused this, and I've scanned extensively for viruses and spyware.I want to reiterate that up until a while ago the videos played fine, so it's not a spec problem. For information, I'm running Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on a G840 2.80GHz dual core with 8Gb of RAM.Internet searches have so far turned up nothing. I'm tempted to fish out my old XP machine and test the videos on there,
I have a 2003 SBS server and several users all on Windows 7. One of the users just got a new Sony laptop with Windows 7 Pro, his existing laptop was also Windows 7 Pro.
I am trying to make same file share available offline again and the files sync with no errors in sync center. But when the user goes offline all the files have a red X and the files are partially transparent. All the KB's and threads I can find involved people getting access denied errors, but I'm getting no sync errors.
I tried formatting the offline files database earlier and I made a dozen files available offline. No errors but again red x's when he went offline.
I have Skydrive for Windows installed. Copied a folder to the Skydrive location, shows up as a Skydrive sub-folder. All the files in the folder were immediately uploaded to Skydrive, but new files are not being uploaded.
sync files between my desktop and notebook, and using other devices. I have been using SyncToy for quite a while, with fairly good results. Sometimes though I seem to get edits (deletions and overwrites) that I really do not want. Is there a better solution for syncing large amounts of files? I am starting to try out using SkyDrive, but Im not totally comfortable with putting sensitive documents online, also I often use my notebook without any internet access and I would like to be able to have a local copy available. Optimally I would like to be able to have a master drive that both desktop and notebook sync their local versions to.
I was just wondering; if i get a laptop that uses the same network as my pc , would they be in sync.
For example lets say at work i created files, edited some , created new images ext. when i go to home the new stuff on the laptop will be on pc automatically?
ok recently I have been having trouble with my windows time syncing, and it used to just take a quick trip to cmd and a few codes to unregister and reregister it to fix it... but now I am getting a "The specified service is not installed" error, any knowledge on how to fix this issue?
