View 1 Replies View RelatedI've installed ASUS Wi-Fi USB adapter (model USB-N13) for LAN. There is Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Through control panel I see that adapter works normally and the drivers are the latest. However my PC doesn't see the adapter - the ASUS utility notices me "ASUS Wireless LAN card is taken apart from your desktop PC".I have the same Wi-Fi adapter at another my PC with Windows 7 Home Basic, and everything works nice. Of course I changed these adapters between my computers. Conclusion is both adapters are working good. The same models, the same drivers. Actually I don't understand where is the mistake?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently posted a problem relating to my pci-e wireless network card not being detectable at all by windows 7, while when i go back to vista, it works fine. This means I can't get Internet for Windows 7, leaving it useless in many ways. Now I tried every single driver that's listed on HP's website (Select software and drivers*), and whenever I try to install any of these drivers, it always comes saying that my system does not meet minimum requirements.
My system is great, (I'll post stats below), so I know it has to do something with the drivers not being capable with windows 7. I tried running all of them in capability mode (Vista, XP, so on), with no luck.
Does any one have any suggestions on how to get this Network Card: (Ralink Technology Corp Ralink Technology Corp pci-e network card) to work with windows seven? Maybe Im not using the right driver^^look at website above, so if Im not can someone lead me in the right direction?
Overview: My computer's running windows vista and windows 7(on another partition), does not pick up my pci-e network card while running windows 7. I tried the drivers from the website listed above that has all of the latest drivers for my system on windows 7 itself, with each one saying my system is not compatible (9998) <<that must be error code. Tryed running them in capability mode, didn't work. They all worked on vista.
p.s. i tried driver wizard with no luck.

So can anyone help me to get a Ralink pci-e network card to work on windows 7?
Every now and then my WiFi stops working, and if I go to dev mgr, the General tab tells me that "No drivers are installed for this device" for device status. On the other tabs, however, I have all the details on the installed driver, and if I ask Windows to update the driver, it tells me that the best driver is already installed. The problem is solved by rebooting, but I find that annoying. I'd like to figure out WHY it does that. I've saved earlier versions of that particular driver from over the last three years, and the problem occurs with all of the drivers. This is a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit system. The driver is an Intel driver; the one installed at this moment (it just happened again, and I have not rebooted, since I had a powerline enet outlet handy), and the version of the Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN is 14.3.1. I have other versions of that driver saved, from 13.2.1.5 to 15.1.1_Ds64. I had reverted to the 14.3.1 because the more recent versions seemed to be worse about the driver disabling itself or whatever it is doing.Coincidentally with this, the event viewer shows that mmc.exe was terminated because it was hanging. I had just run sfc yesterday, and there are no corrupt files that Windows cannot fix, and there weren't even any corrupt files that it DID fix.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi am having a weird wireless adapter problem. first of all the model of wireless adapter is tp- link ( tl-wn722n 150mbps ) and i am connected to tp-link router ( tl-wr740n ). so for the problem it's whenever i am surfing internet the wireless adapter just turns off.. it's either it's stuck on green light or no light ( it flashes green every 2 seconds when its normal ) sometime i can stay on the internet for 1 minute to 5 hours, but it's mostly few minutes. i noticed when i am reading news on internet or something like that it doesn't disconnect, but when i turn on Internet and watch a vid it suddenly drops signal. i have to unplug and plug it in again to get the connection back.
i have tried alot of things..i have changed ports,reinstalled all drivers in router, updated drivers, restetted settings to factory defaults, changing security, channels..nothing worked. the signal is pretty good i can still download with at least 1mbps of speed + the signal bar is full or 1 lower. another weird thing when i am downloading a file it doesn't dissconect i think it's just fine when i'm away from the computer.. but when i start googling,chatting on steam watching videos it just looks like it lost signal or something. also this is not the wireless adapter, because i had one before it started having same problem.. i bought this one at start it had same problem but it was 1 day, but after 2 weeks it started happening.. it's not overheating, i can be connected to internet in safe mode without a problem. also i am using a pc not laptop there are no viruses or malwares on my computer i have used avg and norton antiviruses for scanning, i also got 2 other computers one is loptop and other is pc none of them got such a problem.
My brothers advent modena laptop stopped working and it turned out it was a hard drive issue. I replaced the hard drive and reinstalled windows 7 32bit. I had to download a iso file from [URL] as he wasn't give a installation disc. The install went fine except when it was finished there was no internet connection available. I tried to troubleshoot but couldn't find any network drivers.

I ran the troubleshooter it said "could not find internet adapter" even in Device Manager i couldn't find internet adapter, i might try to install but i think it's not good and i don't know anything about that. btw my warranty has expired.There are some softwares on the internet that can fix missing files on your PC, but they require internet.

It gets a limited activity logo over top of the connection. Today I tried plugging it rite into the router with a LAN cable and still, no dice. After installing the driver for the adapter I realised that my internet was no longer working. I can still see the connection but it is limited and doesnt allow me to connect to the internet. i reinstalled windows 7 home premium 64-bit (from recovery media, i got it when i bought my laptop) on my samsung NP300E5A laptop, on device manager it says that i have five missing drivers, driver are:
-3D Video Controller
-Ethernet Controller
-Network Controller
-PCI Simple Communication Controller
-SM Bus Controller
Oh and after i reinstall windows, when i reboot windows it loads and instead of welcome screen it shows me black screen and cursor, i can move cursor.
Windows 7 won't connect to the internet? The ethernet cable is plugged in and it works, but when I am on Windows 7 it cannot detect that I am connected to the internet. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Velocity Micro desktop, it came with XP Media Center 32 bit and has a Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of ram, I've been wanting to try 7 for a long time so I bought a new 1TB WD black hard drive and a OEM copy of Win 7 home premium, I removed the old hard drive, installed new drive and proceeded to install Win 7, everything went fine on the install but I can't get it to connect to the internet, it reports error 651 "The modem has reported an error" and then a box pops up that looks like an old dial up connection box with a spot for a name and password and says redial in 45 sec. I'm not on dial up but am on DSL with a new Netgear N router, this computer was connecting fine just before I did the install, if I check Device manager it says the network card is working properly, and I can unhook the network cable from this computer and plug it into an old laptop with no wireless and it connects with the cable and gets 5Mbps speed so nothing is wrong with the cable
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy computer was built by CyperPowerPC a year ago. Have had zero problems with it until some updates were automatically put in a month or so ago. After the install, my pc still was showing that I was connnected to the internet, except my browser (firefox) would not load any pages.
I restored the system back to a previous point to fix this. But have since restarted my machine and the problem came back (didn't realize the updates got installed automatically on reboot). My question is what do I do as a permanant fix in lieu of system restore? I think the updates causing the problem are related to security reasons. I ran anti malware and it found and deleted 2 things but still no help.
I think there were 20 or so updates that got installed, how do I know which is the problem? (if it is the updates at all). I can get more info tonight (ie specific update names) if needed.
