After reinstalling Windows 7 my internet connection stopped working. I am using an abit AirPace Wi-Fi Adapter - it worked before the reinstalling and such. I have installed the driver and I can see it under the Hardware-thingy. However, it has a yellow warning sign next to it - a code 52? I have a feeling that if I fix that my internet will work again

When I run a diagnostic, it says that my wireless internet adaptor has dropped the connection to the internet.I have checked if I am connected to the rooter and if a cable is bad. I have Norton and PC cleaner. It's not any kind of crimeware. This started after I had set up the wireless connection. It had worked well for about four months and then it started doing this.There is another laptop in the house and their wireless internet connection is fine.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi am having a weird wireless adapter problem. first of all the model of wireless adapter is tp- link ( tl-wn722n 150mbps ) and i am connected to tp-link router ( tl-wr740n ). so for the problem it's whenever i am surfing internet the wireless adapter just turns off.. it's either it's stuck on green light or no light ( it flashes green every 2 seconds when its normal ) sometime i can stay on the internet for 1 minute to 5 hours, but it's mostly few minutes. i noticed when i am reading news on internet or something like that it doesn't disconnect, but when i turn on Internet and watch a vid it suddenly drops signal. i have to unplug and plug it in again to get the connection back.
i have tried alot of things..i have changed ports,reinstalled all drivers in router, updated drivers, restetted settings to factory defaults, changing security, channels..nothing worked. the signal is pretty good i can still download with at least 1mbps of speed + the signal bar is full or 1 lower. another weird thing when i am downloading a file it doesn't dissconect i think it's just fine when i'm away from the computer.. but when i start googling,chatting on steam watching videos it just looks like it lost signal or something. also this is not the wireless adapter, because i had one before it started having same problem.. i bought this one at start it had same problem but it was 1 day, but after 2 weeks it started happening.. it's not overheating, i can be connected to internet in safe mode without a problem. also i am using a pc not laptop there are no viruses or malwares on my computer i have used avg and norton antiviruses for scanning, i also got 2 other computers one is loptop and other is pc none of them got such a problem.
My brothers advent modena laptop stopped working and it turned out it was a hard drive issue. I replaced the hard drive and reinstalled windows 7 32bit. I had to download a iso file from [URL] as he wasn't give a installation disc. The install went fine except when it was finished there was no internet connection available. I tried to troubleshoot but couldn't find any network drivers.

I ran the troubleshooter it said "could not find internet adapter" even in Device Manager i couldn't find internet adapter, i might try to install but i think it's not good and i don't know anything about that. btw my warranty has expired.There are some softwares on the internet that can fix missing files on your PC, but they require internet.

It gets a limited activity logo over top of the connection. Today I tried plugging it rite into the router with a LAN cable and still, no dice. After installing the driver for the adapter I realised that my internet was no longer working. I can still see the connection but it is limited and doesnt allow me to connect to the internet. I also had a system up date the night before and hadn't been on the internet since that happened so am unsure if this has any part in it.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both the adapters i have to no avail, as well as plugging my pc into a laptop and using internet connection sharing which also doesnt work.If i run a network repair i end up with two problems found:

i reinstalled windows 7 home premium 64-bit (from recovery media, i got it when i bought my laptop) on my samsung NP300E5A laptop, on device manager it says that i have five missing drivers, driver are:
-3D Video Controller
-Ethernet Controller
-Network Controller
-PCI Simple Communication Controller
-SM Bus Controller
Oh and after i reinstall windows, when i reboot windows it loads and instead of welcome screen it shows me black screen and cursor, i can move cursor.
Windows 7 won't connect to the internet? The ethernet cable is plugged in and it works, but when I am on Windows 7 it cannot detect that I am connected to the internet. I currently have GoWifi to access my internet (my room mate has it to)But for the past 4 days my computer has been running horribly slow. I can't use a enthernet cable becuase "Gowifi" is only wireless. I use google chrome most of the time, but the internet is slow on chrome and explorer. I have tried the "ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew" method. I have also tried to Reset WINSOCK, Reset IPv4, Reset IPv6, and then restarted my computer but still did not do the trick. I have tried various things from forums on other sites and this site but it still is not doing the trick.Is there Anything you guys could tell me that could fix my problem? And i do have a windows 7 computer.

anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter

there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!
I can no longer upload files to the internet. When I try to Internet Explorer 9 crashes and restarts. The same thing happens when I right click on a picture on the internet and try to save it to my computer. The only changes to my computer was I upgraded the Norton Anti Virus software. I've reinstalled IE9 and same thing. I tried reinstalling Norton and same thing.

Several topics are out there, but I didn't manage to find any solution, so I'll ask againI noticed this because I couldn't connect battlefield bad company 2 to the ea servers (to sign in).now, no need to panic I thought, things like that happen, but it has been going on for a week, so I started to investigate.While trying some EA domains I found that Support Home Page wouldn't load up on my windows 7 64bit (sp1).now this site does load up on my dual-booted linux... as well as on any other pc in my network. This is a problem that has probably been solved but I have spent some time looking for the solution without success.
Windows 7 (6.1.7100 build 7100) indicates that I have no Internet connection in spite of the fact that I can browse without any problems (see attached image).
Mostly this is not a problem except that I want to connect to an external server to upload files. Normally I use map network drive for this. When I attempt this, I fail because it doesn't see the Internet connection.
I have tried the following solutions which haven't worked
Disabling link scanning in AVG Disabling all other network connections
I was installing a software on my other laptop (it had SQL software with it) and I ran into some trouble as I got error problems that the installation of the software had failed and now whatever I do, I can't access the web! Sure enough, my wireless connection connects successfully and it indicates that I am on the "Internet" but every time I try to use either firefox or internet explorer to go to a web site, it says I don't have a connection.
