View 2 Repliesi have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned, you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games, that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card, but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then, select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then, enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate, may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found, then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet

But I haven't been able to find any information as to how the HD 2500 compare.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.
System:
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/GEN 3
Intel 2600K
XFX R7950 Black Edition
OCZ 850W
Crucial 128 GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HD
Corsair H100
Windows 7 64 bit (full)
Previously when i was with XP.
i was able to share my RAM with my graphics, i had 128Mb on board graphics and was able to share my RAM with it to make it 512Mb, this was done through my BIOS.
Since i installed Windows 7. It is like it has compltely changed my BIOS user interfacce, and i havnt a clue on how to do it now.
Any ideas?
I was stupid and accidentally uninstalled my AMD Catalyst Program in an attempt to update the drivers. Now I cant switch to the card from the integrated Intel card. I can't restore the computer or re-install the program. When I try to re-install it, its doesn't work but there are no errors.

Which card will give me better performance on max settings on a demanding game like GTA IV.
The rest of the system is as follows:

4GB Corsair DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD

The graphics got progressevley worse and worse so i took in. They tested the graphics card and it was fine so they restarted the computer and then windows crashed. They reinstalled windows 7 and i started putting everything back together.
I just put total war back on my computer and started playing and its started again. I restarted my computer and all that came back was a blinking undersscore. Luckily i shutdown and it started normally but the graphics are still messed up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from XP to Win 7 Ultimate 32bit. I have always had two graphics cards - NVIDIA GeForce 7025 and AMD Radeon HD4300/4500 with the latter used to feed via HDMI cable to my Plasma TV.Since the upgrade, the AMD card appears to be the default card and any attempt to run the NVIDIA Control Panel results in a warning that "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU".
The PC functions okay but I've lost a number of controls I was familiar with via NVIDIA and I may also be losing performance too. How do I get back to where I was under XP when NVIDIA was the main card ?
Highly annoying and occasionally destructive. Attached image of graphics system from Windows 7 SystemInfo.exe.
The laptop is Win7x64, Intel i3, 4GB RAM. This seems to happen in WLiveMail, or streaming a webcam, or just about anywhere.
I just subscribed as I can not find the reason for many BSOD I am having in the past months.First I have to say that the cause is likely to be hardware as in the same rig I have Linux in another hard disk and also suffer the same type of crash. The BSOD happens mainly following this sequence of events:
- mcreen starts to show some artifacts, (small squares in groups and 4 small lines over the pointer in the screen)
- mouse freezes - display freezes (sounds work) for 5-8 seconds
- display resets
- then (sometimes) a message appears at bottom right of screen"display driver has failed and succesfully recovered..."
- few seconds later the process starts again. This can be happening from 2 to 10 times and finally the BSOD appears and the computer restart.
My guess is the graphic card but also could be memory (RAM) or who knows what. I just would like an expert opinion before buying anything new. [code]
A new Intel driver for GMA 500 graphics has been released for the Sony Vaio P with noticeable improvements in video viewing, Aero performance (enables 3D acceleration) and web browsing. I have been advised that it Works only under Vista and Windows 7, no XP.
Apparently you have to install under Windows 7, use compatibility mode and select Vista as OS. Can someone please guide me on how to install using compatibility mode ?
My HP desktop came with an ATI HD5770, using driver version 8.740.0.0, dated Aug 2010.
Windows update offered an updated driver a couple of months ago, which failed to load.
People here have recommended getting updates from the OEM (HP, in this case) instead of from Windows Update. But HP doesn't offer anything newer than that Aug 2010 version. So I went to ATI and they have the newer driver, version 8.902.0.0 It works.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust done a clean install of windows 7 on my Sony VPN-SZ5VWN and it has installed all drivers apart from the display. It has a nVidia Go 7400 however when I try to install it it just states there is no nividia products. If I try to uninstall the VGA driver, it asks me to restart and then, before I can do anything, it reinstalls the standard VGA adapter driver. I do get a solution saying to download the driver however this does not work. The original drivers are for Vista and Sony provides no other supported OS for them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed Windows 7 Professional 64x. Previously, I had 32-bit Vista Ultimate.
I have a Dell Precision M90, with 4 gigs of ram, a 2.00 GHz core duo processor, and a Nvidia Quadro FX 2500M video card.
In the device manager, my display adapter shows as Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. I'm decent with computers, so I've upgraded video card drivers before. However, for some reason it is not allowing me to upgrade this driver. I have tried with both a 2500M driver as well as a 7900GTX driver (which worked for me in Vista).
I have also tried uninstalling the driver first, but it won't let me install another one before restarting and when I restart it just reinstalls the Standard VGA Graphics adapter.
I have the Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset on my Asus P5Q-EM DO motherboard. Video drivers installed with Windows Beta 7057 worked perfectly but when I clean-installed Windows 7100 RC, the drivers were updated to a newer version and now my desktop and background video gets totally corrupted after computer is in use for 20 mins or so. If I minimize and then maximize the window I'm working in it clears it up for a few minutes.
Can anyone tell me how to take the graphics drivers from 7057 and slipstream them into 7100 RC so I can use the RC without pulling my hair out? I tried to "upgrade" the drivers to the old version, but no way to do that. And it has no rollback feature.
I just got a very high end graphics card for my PC, which I'd like to try out on some games. I already know about stuff like Crysis, etc, but what other games have very good graphics and game play?
