Previously when i was with XP.
i was able to share my RAM with my graphics, i had 128Mb on board graphics and was able to share my RAM with it to make it 512Mb, this was done through my BIOS.
Since i installed Windows 7. It is like it has compltely changed my BIOS user interfacce, and i havnt a clue on how to do it now.
Any ideas?
i have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned,you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games,that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card,but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then,select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then,enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate,may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found,then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

I have two windows desktops and a mac mini all connected to a 16 port switch. All can ping each other just fine.Both Windows machines are running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - One machine I use as my file and media server, with file sharing turned on in Network & Sharing Center; the other is simply a workstation, I have file sharing turned off on that machine. They are in the same homegroup, and I have no trouble reading & writing from workstation to server. Mac mini is running Snow Leo 10.6.6. All machines can access other network resources (printer, Internet).Using Mac, I can connect to the workstation (using Finder's Connect to Server), but I cannot connect to the server! This is backwards Macintosh!
I can access the user folder on the workstation from the Mac, and nothing else b/c file sharing is turned off on the workstation. But the Mac doesn't even connect to the server machine in Connect to Server. I get a Mac error saying check the IP address which leads me to think network related, but both computers can ping OK.I have Norton 360 on the workstation and Windows Firewall on the server. Is this why? I wouldn't think Windows FW would block the Mac but allow the Windows workstation? Like I said, homegroup and even direct connecting to the share works from the workstation.
I have a Windows 7 computer that I have a shared folder setup on. I have a Windows 7 laptop that I'm accessing that shared folder on. All the files in that shared folder is showing up except for one folder that contains MKV files. That folder isn't showing up at all on the laptop.

But, want to check that the below is correct.I note that I can see folder changes, etc in the home network area and network area of the both PCs. But, I cannot see any changes directly in the C: Drive of each computer.Is this what I should be seeing?
View 5 Replies View Relatedin our office we have a windows 7 pc sharing some folders over our domain, now other windows 7 pcs have no problem getting into the shares, and most of the time the xp machines can get in too but every now and again the xp machines cant get into the windows 7 sharing pc it can see the name but says doesnt have permissions etc we have to restart the windows 7 pc in order for it to work again, now the permissions are fine there set to everyone and its not the firewall turned it off etc, also in the sharing centre the settings all seem to be correct. The shared printer also on the windows 7 pc doesnt work when you cant access the files other windows 7 pcs can use it but not xp pcs.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got windows 7 about 5 months ago and this sharing thins is about to make me want to find a good XP computer. When I first set it up I couldn't access but few of my files. I have read all I can find as well ask questions on forums. I have finally got it where I can most of the time see my own files. THEN yesterday I downloaded a jpg file from my cell phone to the computer. The image is side ways so I went to rotate it clockwise and the computer says I don't have permission to this file. I messed with it 30 minutes and could never get where I can edit it. Now, mind you it is in a folder and other files in that folder I can edit. I finally deceided to try to save as in another folder? It let me do that and from there I could rotate it. This makes no sense to me. How can I make all the files on this dang computer be available to me or anyone who is on my computer? Who ever made this sharing thing this way must be paranoid and trying to hide something from his wife. My life is an open book whoever is smart enough to get in my computer can surely see all my files anyway. All this is doing is keeping me from my own files.

While enabling Internet Connection Sharing from my local connection, it kept getting an error stating "An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. The dependency service or group failed to start. I checked it's dependencies, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and Remote Access Connection Manager were set to "Automatic" but both bounced back with "Windows could not start the RA(A)CM service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start."

I'm more of a mac guy so I'm positive my MBS shares aren't the problem. I can even put my mac's IP address into the windows side browser and get the "It works!" message. Under the windows network however I can't get it to access the mac. I've tried being in the same homegroup, no home group, creating identical users on each machine, shutting off the firewalls, adding registry hacks for LmCompatability level and still nothing. Most online help guides I have found point to things that don't even exist on this operating system, such as Local Security Policy or secpol.msc?

Now I add a third, and I can't get file sharing to work. I can SEE files on that third computer from mine, but it won't let me move files to that computer from mine, and it won't let me save them! It says I don't have permission. My userID on this computer is "Katie" and that computer also has a user account called "Katie." The folders in question DO have sharing set (by right clicking on them) so that "Katie" has read/write permission. Why don't have have write permission, then?

The other two computer can connect to the \fileserver okay. No problems at all. I can not. I have tried IP address, name, going through work arounds, turning off firewalls, anti-virus, etc. But when I go to it I get the "You do not have permission to access \fileserver. Contact your network administrator to request access. Nobody else has an account set up on any machine, so i fear adding mine to the other three.

I have four computers, configured with one account each, that are members of this HomegroupPC1, PC2, PC3, PC4PC1 configured the Homegroup and has the only shared library that is visible on the Homegroup. PC2, PC3, and PC4 all save documents to the shared Homegroup library on PC1.PC1 is basically acting as a file server.I want to set it up so that only certain accounts on each of the other three (PC2, PC3, PC4) computers can see certain folders in the shared Homegroup library.For instance, I have three folders in the shared Homegroup library located on PC1.Folder2, Folder3, Folder4How do I individually share those folders with only certain computers?
I have tried sharing with only "specific people" but it tells "windows was unable to find (name)". I have tried typing in the name of the computer to share with as well as account names.I have run the Homegroup troubleshooter on all computers and I still cannot share specific folders with specific computers.What would be the best way to share how I desire? ISSUE: Trying to print to a printer with it's drivers installed on an XP computer.I have 6 computers running (not all the time), 3 laptops and 3 desktops. I'll number them for ease of ID.1. Dell Laptop running W2K. Hardwired.2. Gateway Laptop running XP. Wireless.3. HP Laptop running W7 Ultimate. Wireless.4. Desktop ATX running XP similar to a server where I keep the big apps, printer drivers and backups, not used for web surfing. Hardwired.5. Dell 1100 desktop running XP used mostly for surfing and downloads. If I get a virus I just reformat and reload XP. Hardwired.6. Compaq desktop running XP. Hardwired.When I use Window Explorer to look at all the computers on my home LAN, I get the following.Systems: 1, 2, 5 and 6, see all 6 systems, one being itself.System: 4 with the printer drivers sees the other five, but not itself.System: 3 sees 1, 2, 3 (itself), 5 and 6. Does not see #4. On this #4 I have three printers' drivers installed.I can print from 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 to any of the three printers. But not from #3 which is running W7. I tried adding printer and driver as per plethora of instructions on the web without success. But since it does not see system #4, the printers are not available to choose.
