I don't know what it is but Windows 7 doesn't recognize my graphics card for some reason....... I have scanned several times for driver updates, still nothing seems to fix my problem.I don't know what causes this, dxdiag displays everything else properly as far as I know. [code]
I bought this computer and it has Nvidia GeForce GT540m graphics card (i thinks its optimus)but on dxdiag>display it says intel HD graphics family.. wtf?I don't know what is with it but do I not have Nvidia?PS: on some games such a skyrim and oblivion it detected my computer and said i have Nvidia gefore gt540m but I wonder why it doesn't show up on dxdiag as 540 but as intel HD
i have a compaq persario sr1630nx i just remove the graphics card i had on it do to a malfunction. and i plugged in my monitor to the original input and it looks all blurry?
about a year ago I had a problem with my pc where I would get the error message "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and the occasional BSOD. I solved this problem by simply flashing my bios. However a similar problem has now arrived ( note I have not changed any hardware since the last error) where:
- There is a constant buzzing from my monitor ( NOT a problem with the monitor as it works fine in safe mode with no buzzing, which is why I suspect a gpu problem)
- I get random "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" messages, but no BSODs. OR the display just goes black and I have to hard reset my pc.
I ripped my personal CD collection to .WAV as I have the space and thought it was best quality. I used WMP. Everything ripped fine for a while, the first song of each album kept 'losing' its track information. I would use the Find Album Info feature of WMP to fix this. Track info currently displays perfect in Windows Media Player Library or when browing using Windows Media Center. However, if I view the files in Windows Explorer, or use another program like Winamp to play the files (which i generally prefer), the first track of all my ripped CDs in WAV format has no track information, Unknown Album, title, even tho' it displays fine in WMP Library. I cannot EDIT the track in Windows Explorer, and I can't find a track editor freeware that supports .WAV.
My computer all of a sudden isn't displaying the info on drop down boxes, Such as dates for ordering on line for credit card info or sizes, etc. I don't know how to fix this. I can't see the Category choices in the box below this dialog box.I don't have the money to call Microsoft.
i have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned, you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games, that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card, but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then, select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then, enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate, may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found, then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet

Why? Do I need to re-rip everything in .MP3? This also ruins my ability to copy the files to my phone, as the first track is missing information on copy/conversion.
I purchased diablo 3 for my husband & my video card is not supported so he's unable to play, my computer is a HP P624 f-b desktop with a Intel GMA intregrated graphics, I am aware I need to up my power supply also, I have no idea what video card can be used to upgrade so the game is playable, not looking to spend a fortune?
I've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

i was having a problem with a usb driver i downloaded for my motorola phone. I found that out because every time i disconnected it from my laptop a blue screen would pop up and would restart my computer. This happened to me 3 times. A while ago i was playing my games perfectly with my main graphics card the Nvidia GT 555m. I was charging my phone then i disconnected the usb then the blue screen popped again and restarted my laptop. I then tried fixing the driver problem and i did. The only problem was when i tried playing my games it was running slow and i noticed that it was running on the integrated graphics card Intel R graphics HD card. I went to check under display adapters and noticed that the Dedicated graphics card Nvidia Gt 555m was not there anymore.
Everytime I use explorer on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, my screen turns black and then displays the the intel graphics accelerator drivers has stopped responding and has recovered. Im very frustrated with this as to it is really causing my pc to not work properly. Any input would be very helpful.
my system shows repeated blue-screens, restarting as many times, whenever you-tube gets opened systems gets stopped, ten often shows display drivers stopped responding and recovered successfully after a blink.
I know this is going to sound like a daft question but my father has a Radeon HD 3850 x2 from ASUS and it's a great card, but we're coming stuck about the actual display resolution of the card; it being a dual link I'm some what confused as to how you would go about calculating the actual maximum display resolution of the Dual Link ports to 2 SEPERATE monitors not to one! My father is planning on running two 22" at a display resolution of 1920x1080 at 60hz and the maximum display resolution of the Dual link ports is 2560x1600 at 85hz.. I'm not sure whether the card will run both at 1920x1080@60hz
I was stupid and accidentally uninstalled my AMD Catalyst Program in an attempt to update the drivers. Now I cant switch to the card from the integrated Intel card. I can't restore the computer or re-install the program. When I try to re-install it, its doesn't work but there are no errors.
the xfx 1gb 4850 i had been eying is finally off the shelves the only place i find it is at frys and it costs 150+ s&h. do you guys have any other graphics cards you would recommend within the 100-150 usd category with at least 512 mb of memory.
Currently I have a graphics card Geforce 8400 (Nvidia). I want to buy another card HD Radeon 4890. I have a Dell Optiplex 760 desktop. Do both cards work in my pc from different hardware manufacturers?
I get an error message saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I do, however, have Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. The screen turns black and then flashes white. I can only resume use of my computer if I close out all my chrome tabs multiple times and reopen them.
I just bought a evga 560 1gb ddr5 video card for my system. Windows 7 ultimate, 8gb ram, Intel core2 2.13ghz. I plan on upgrading this year but not too soon due to budget constraints. Anyway, I try running some of my games in directx 11 and the games say that the compatible hardware isn't found. dxdiag says I have directx 11 but the system information says I have dx10. I'm confused as to what's going on since the video card should be compatible. Even says so on the box.
I should also mention I barely updated my video card drivers and directx to the latest versions.
