View 3 RepliesI got Windows 7 just some days ago and I really love it. But there is a minor (?) problem
When I try to watch streams on Ustream, the browsers crash. I think it has to do with Flashplayer somehow, because Ustream is based on flash. I'm using build 7048.
I really love Windows 7, but I probably love watching NHL on the computer more. So...anyone else experience the same problem? Any solution?
My problem is that i am not able to install flash player plugin on firefox.
i start the manual install and it wont save it
when i return on flash needed website it sais i dont have flash installed.
pls just send me a link to a flash player plugin for firefox compatible with windows 7.
I have the latest Firefox and Flash Player installed. But some applications just don't run at all. For example, videos on [URL] just show a black screen. And this site is remains completely blank: thisissand.com. These applications do work fine on Internet Explorer, but no matter what I try, it won't work on Firefox. Some other things, like Flash movies on [URL] work just fine on Firefox. I've already tried re-installing Flash. Tried an older version of Flash. Tried disabling Flash safe mode. Nothing changes.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthis has only popped up the past couple of days, so i'm guessing it was an automatic update which is the cause. whenever i go to watch a Internet video or play a game using flash etc, not only is the video quality awful, but whenever i don't have my Internet/game tab focused for a while and i go back to it, everything lags horribly. by this i mean i can drag my mouse in a pattern across the screen and watch flash react to it 3-4 seconds later. it does eventually catch up, however this can take anywhere between 30 seconds and 10-15 minutes. i've been using firefox over chrome because i was more satisfied with the performance results of firefox. ironically i've just downloaded chrome and these issues don't occur. time for a switch perhaps?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi recently installed a rtm windows 7 pro on my laptop (upgraded from xp), and now i'm starting to run into a little browser issues involving adobe flash.
Internet, and other video sites seem to work just fine, but for some odd reason, a couple sites, such as kotaku.com, always initiates some random adobe flash 9 "where is the debugger or host application running?" popup error. the real annoyance is however, that this message pops up repeatedly for maybe 8-10 times before this second error log message is displayed. i have no idea what this message even means.
i noticed there is a new adobe flash 10 version out, as well as shockwave 11, and have installed both, but in my firefox's browser plugin menu, shockwave flash is still listed as version 9... is there a way to completely remove this?
whenever i am using firefox 8 and watching something on bbc iplayer, Internet or similar sites my laptop then freezes for a few seconds then it goes into bsod then restarts (this happens one or twice a day in the same exact situation).the strange things is when this happens it does not create a minidump file/folder (followed instructions here to enable this).

View 1 Replies View RelatedFlash Player 11.1.102.62Firefox 10.0.1Windows 7 x64 SP1I downloaded the Flash Player installer from the official site and ran it. It downloaded the files and installed Flash. But whenever I try to view Flash content in Firefox, it claims that I don't have FP11 installed, offers to install it for me, tries to and then fails and says I must install it manually, which simply takes me back to Adobe's Flash Player site, where I had already downloaded the installer from!I just tried Firefox with a new profile and it doesn't work that way either.I have lately been using a debug version of FP 10.3, but got sick of the constant debug error messages I got when I tried to play videos and was hoping that 11 would simply work this time around. I uninstalled 10.3 before installing 11.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just cant seem to get flash installed, windows7 32bit, and trying to install in Firefox. Im betting this has been asked before, but cant seem to find anything.
EDIT: Ok, feel a bit of an idiot, ran installer as Administrator, and that sorted it. Apologies for "noobish" error,
I run 7 64bit and when i try to install Adobe Flash Player for Firefox 32bit, it says "This program has been blocked for your safety" and doesn't install at all.
I'm administrator and there is no other user. I turned UAC all the way down but it didn't help. How can i install it?
i am having problem watching Internet videos. i can only hear the audio but the screen remains black. i tried to access the flash player settings but it is grayed out (there is no access to it). i have the latest flash player and my browsers are also updated.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently locked down a PC's with LGP. It is heavily restricted for public use.One strange problem that has cropped up is the Flash player in Firefox.I didn't install the plug-in before I locked down the user account. Afterwards I realized I hadnt installed it so I logged on to the Admin account and installed the plug. The player now works fine when logged in as Admin or as a User with full privileges but wont play in my locked down user account, where I still get a message saying the plug-in is not installed.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently updated to Firefox 18. If I go to Windows' Control Panel and then click on "Uninstall a program", both Firefox 18 and Firefox 15 show up in the list of programs. Should I just leave it as it is, or should I uninstall Firefox 15?
By the way, I updated to Firefox 18 through Firefox's update feature, if that helps.

After installation, in IE8, I can initiate a file download and it will proceed to DL the file but upon finishing, the file disappears from the saved location. I then installed Firefox from a flash drive without issue but when I DL a file in Firefox, it also proceeds to DL the file but upon the end produces an invalid file with 0 bytes.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm running Win 7 64bit and this past week I started getting BSOD restarts several times a night, mostly when using Firefox 5. I just uninstalled/re-installed it and got a blue screen 20 minutes later. The message that pops up after the restart shows two files, one a minidump but I don't know what to do with it. I've updated my graphics drivers, Windows update, scanned with Windows SE and Malwarebytes with nothing being found. I don't know what steps to use to start diagnosing the problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been getting BSOD's only when using Firefox. Started happening about 2 - 3 months ago. Stopped using FF and have been using IE 9 for the last month and have not had one BSOD since, but I really hate IE. I downloaded the latest version of FF yesterday hoping that a new version might have fixed the issue. Five minutes later and BSOD again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed WINDOWS FIREWALL CONTROL on my Windows 7 system. I have Internet access with games but not with FIREFOX or MAIL WASHER PRO. I decided to not use WINDOWS FIREWALL CONTROL and deleted it from my computer (there was no uninstall entry). Now even though FIREFOX and MAILWASHER PRO is listed as being allowed by the Windows firewall I can not access the Internet. Should I use the system restore feature or am I missing something else. If I turn off the firewall I have access but of course that is not an option I want to go with

When I try to play any live streams or any media files online, that could be played using WMP, Firefox always shows I have to download the WMP 11 PLUGIN though WMP 12 is the default player in Windows 7. However, it works with CHROME.
