this has only popped up the past couple of days, so i'm guessing it was an automatic update which is the cause. whenever i go to watch a Internet video or play a game using flash etc, not only is the video quality awful, but whenever i don't have my Internet/game tab focused for a while and i go back to it, everything lags horribly. by this i mean i can drag my mouse in a pattern across the screen and watch flash react to it 3-4 seconds later. it does eventually catch up, however this can take anywhere between 30 seconds and 10-15 minutes. i've been using firefox over chrome because i was more satisfied with the performance results of firefox. ironically i've just downloaded chrome and these issues don't occur. time for a switch perhaps?
whenever i am using firefox 8 and watching something on bbc iplayer, Internet or similar sites my laptop then freezes for a few seconds then it goes into bsod then restarts (this happens one or twice a day in the same exact situation).the strange things is when this happens it does not create a minidump file/folder (followed instructions here to enable this).
Flash Player 11.1.102.62Firefox 10.0.1Windows 7 x64 SP1I downloaded the Flash Player installer from the official site and ran it. It downloaded the files and installed Flash. But whenever I try to view Flash content in Firefox, it claims that I don't have FP11 installed, offers to install it for me, tries to and then fails and says I must install it manually, which simply takes me back to Adobe's Flash Player site, where I had already downloaded the installer from!I just tried Firefox with a new profile and it doesn't work that way either.I have lately been using a debug version of FP 10.3, but got sick of the constant debug error messages I got when I tried to play videos and was hoping that 11 would simply work this time around. I uninstalled 10.3 before installing 11.
I run 7 64bit and when i try to install Adobe Flash Player for Firefox 32bit, it says "This program has been blocked for your safety" and doesn't install at all.
I'm administrator and there is no other user. I turned UAC all the way down but it didn't help. How can i install it?
i am having problem watching Internet videos. i can only hear the audio but the screen remains black. i tried to access the flash player settings but it is grayed out (there is no access to it). i have the latest flash player and my browsers are also updated.
i clean boot my system and installed latest adobe flash player on ie 9, ffox 4. i've tried all media sites like Internet etc. the flash player won't deliver full sound. it starts correctly, no video issues but after few seconds the sounds goes way lot, gets choppy..i've had no success in finding a solution to this. i've tried uninstalling flash player, installing archived versions...but no luck.
my pc is: win 7 pro 64 bit, amd phenom ii x4 955, 4gb ram and ati radeon hd 5770 gcard etc.
I got Windows 7 just some days ago and I really love it. But there is a minor (?) problem
When I try to watch streams on Ustream, the browsers crash. I think it has to do with Flashplayer somehow, because Ustream is based on flash. I'm using build 7048.
I really love Windows 7, but I probably love watching NHL on the computer more. So...anyone else experience the same problem? Any solution?
I have the latest Firefox and Flash Player installed. But some applications just don't run at all. For example, videos on [URL] just show a black screen. And this site is remains completely blank: thisissand.com. These applications do work fine on Internet Explorer, but no matter what I try, it won't work on Firefox. Some other things, like Flash movies on [URL] work just fine on Firefox. I've already tried re-installing Flash. Tried an older version of Flash. Tried disabling Flash safe mode. Nothing changes.
i recently installed a rtm windows 7 pro on my laptop (upgraded from xp), and now i'm starting to run into a little browser issues involving adobe flash.
Internet, and other video sites seem to work just fine, but for some odd reason, a couple sites, such as kotaku.com, always initiates some random adobe flash 9 "where is the debugger or host application running?" popup error. the real annoyance is however, that this message pops up repeatedly for maybe 8-10 times before this second error log message is displayed. i have no idea what this message even means.
i noticed there is a new adobe flash 10 version out, as well as shockwave 11, and have installed both, but in my firefox's browser plugin menu, shockwave flash is still listed as version 9... is there a way to completely remove this?
My problem is slow usb transfer rate - at first it start off real good (70-80 mb/s then within 10 sec it drops down to 3 and even 1 mb/s). 1.5 mb file gets into my flash drive in 10 min or so. Now I've formatted flash drives, no change. Write-caching enabled, "best performance" for flash drives enabled... Tried on a Lap-Top - transfer rate is not so high, but stable all the time - 15-12 mb/s. Remote Differential Compression disabled. Transfer rate within the hard drives in my computer is OK (I got 2). I don't know if it's the Windows 7 problem or the motherboard problem or hard drives config problem.
Here is my info: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit HDD's: Samsung 500bg and ST 320 bg, both 16 mb 7200 mobo - GA-770T-D3L, v.1. RAM - 8gb Phenom IIx6
I just cant seem to get flash installed, windows7 32bit, and trying to install in Firefox. Im betting this has been asked before, but cant seem to find anything.
EDIT: Ok, feel a bit of an idiot, ran installer as Administrator, and that sorted it. Apologies for "noobish" error,
I recently locked down a PC's with LGP. It is heavily restricted for public use.One strange problem that has cropped up is the Flash player in Firefox.I didn't install the plug-in before I locked down the user account. Afterwards I realized I hadnt installed it so I logged on to the Admin account and installed the plug. The player now works fine when logged in as Admin or as a User with full privileges but wont play in my locked down user account, where I still get a message saying the plug-in is not installed.
I Can't find a flash player that works. everywhere I look it won't work. They say that it installs but when I go to a site that needs flash it doesn't work.
I do not know if this is unique to Win7 but I have posted this problem here. I am using IE9 on this 64 bit OS but I have not been able to download the latest flash player update.
My win 7 64 bit with Mozilla Firefox 5 or 4.01 does not play the flash content of my home page. Please note that I have read many posts regarding this issue and nothing has fixed the problem. I get the continues prompt you have to install flash player to read this contentany many installations it never works. I have used the uninstall flash player command and then reinstalled the player many times. No go.The browser Mozilla Firefox is 32 bit. Is there a fix or can I use a different player to play the content?have been trying to fix this for two months now.The flash player content is part of my Home Page The Globe and Mail, Toronto daily Newspaper
Evey time I log into live it asks me to install Adobe flash player so I do then the next day it comes up again, I have had this problem ever since Vista but it sent away one day until I installed 7, any ideas on why its doing it?
I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I want to switch to 64-bit IE, but I can't find a 64-bit release of Adobe Flash Player (even alpha or beta). Can you help me?
i needed to make an clean installation of windows 7 and the only one i could get so fast was one with some programs added already, one of the programs was opera which i didn't like so i uninstalled it with "youre uninstaller 2008" and installed fire fox, so far no problems.
now i needed flash player 10 in order to install norton 2009, so i installed flash player 10 (direct link from the adobe website), but norton still gave me the error that it wasn't installed, i looked up and found this,
don't know if you can see it but flash player tries to install it on my opera folder, which isn't there anymore and it fails then it installs an uninstaller and say's its finished.
so i guess opera has left some system files in my computer so flash player thinks its still there and won't install the right way.
After getting Windows 7 x64 installed, I was having a problem getting the Pandora Gadget to work. It turns out this gadget uses Flash, which only comes in a 32 bit version. The Sidebar is x64, and can't access Flash. I came up with a quick and dirty way to load the 32 bit sidebar instead which allows flash to work! I know there are several gadgets out there that use flash so this should be a fix for all of them.
