Flash Apparently Uninstalls Itself From One Day To The Next?
May 11, 2012
i have win 7 64 bit 4 gig ram.i am being driven nuts by adobe flash apparently uninstalling itself from one day to the next. when i try to view videos on cnn or Internet with firefox 12,i see a black screen with no controls.i tried a different browser, opera, and was prompted to install either the flash plugin or flash itself.after doing this,i can then view video on cnn and Internet again.however, when i boot into windows the next day,the black screen problem has arisen again. i ran a full malwarebytes scan and found nothing
When I reboot my computer or turn it off completely, my video card drivers uninstall automatically. This is weird. I reinstalled my Nvidia drivers each time I've restarted the computer, yet every time on restart: drivers get deleted.
I first noticed this issue when I rebooted and then my Aero theme became disabled. I thought "oh well" and tried to play Just Cause 2. Error! Some error about not having DX11 compliance.... I reinstall my drivers (using Clean Install) and then everything goes back to normal until I restart/reboot/power off-on.
I've just bought a new computer and put it all together, installed drivers etc but no sound is working. If I go to Control PanelHardware and Sound it says "no audio devices are installed".However, if I go to Device Manager, under "Sound, video and games controllers" there are 4 instances of "NVIDIA High Definition Audio"Now I guess thie Nvidia drivers might work through the HDMI connection on the GPU, but my soiund setup is with the old audio jacks that plug in to the back of the motherboard.I tried uninstalling the nvidia audio drivers in device manager but when I rebooted they just installed themselves automatically!
I have windows 7 professional 64 bit, and I have BSOD's (Hi camandros, welcome to the group?)
PC: intel core i3 540 @ 3.07GHz 4GB ram ddr3 800MHz (not sure the speed ) ATI radeon HD 5770 1GB
The problem is that I get BSOD's and I can't find a reason. Sometimes it happens right after windows starts, most times I'm gaming and others it seems just random.
make a dualboot comp by adding windows XP to a new partition. I created the new partition with 20gb. (From the 500 of my actual harddrive)But before I actually installed on that, I got distracted with a second harddrive that my dad got(for no reason). It had a full copy of Windows XP backed up on it from another computer, so I figured I would just use that for the dualboot. I plugged it in (wired the same way as my old harddrive, but different data slot), restarted, checked the harddrive in explorer - all the data was there / reading correctly / etc, and I used 'easyBCD' to add the new harddrive to the boot list.(Which, of course, crashes if I try to start it. I just wanted to see what it would do). For a reason I can't remember, I unplugged the second harddrive for a bit, started the computer on accident (I don't know if anything loaded before I shut it off), and then when I plugged it back in.Windows 7 would not launch. It goes to a DOS-like window, except it's just a flashing _ and it never does anything even after a few minutes. XP didn't work still.. so I decided to reinstall XP (as I couldn't tell which harddrive was which on the list, I unplugged the main harddrive while installing onto the new).. and when I did this.. it formatted and installed fully... then restarted.. then restarted.. and restarted.. and just kept restarting, never showing any thing past the manufacturer logo/BIOS load-button-message-thing. So, I then try to use my 3-disk Windows7Recovery disk(burned myself with a program apparently included by the manufacturer.) It installed fully, appearing to work.. but when I launched it, it said "Invalid Partition Table" and wouldn't boot past that. When I insert my driver installer disk, it gives me a basic DOS window thing. dir A: shows the files in the disk. dir B: for some reason shows the same. C: says "Error reading from drive C: DOS area: general failure". All other letter:'s just say "invalid drive". (I'm doing this with both harddrives in.) I attempted connecting the harddrives to an old computer, but it gave an error for both. (It detected the harddrives, but said it had an error reading from it. Windows Explorer asked me to format it... {i'm willing to format one of the drives if anybody thinks it will help, but the old harddrive has data I'd prefer not to lose.} ) Looking on google, I saw several problems that all have similar problems (less overdescripptive than I am though) but none of the fixes suggested worked for me. Also - as I have two different with different errors, I only need to make one of them work.)Also - my other available computer has a CD burner / floppy drive if either are required. I also have several USB's. The computer can boot from USB's and CD's (tested), and I could easily take the floppy thingy and connect it to the computer.also - this computer is probably still under warranty unless unscrewing the hard drive voids it. .. does that count as modification of the computer?
How can you copy one flash drive to another flash drive,on the same computer?

When I put a flash USB drive in my Windows 7 machine it gives a beep and tells me that the drivers have been loaded and the drive is ready for use.But I can't see it anywhere, it shows in 'Devices and Printers' but won't open from there. How do I get it to show up when I open 'Computer' from the Start button please.Tech Suppot Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.1OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , Service Pack 1, 32 bitProcessor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9950 Quad-Core Processor, x64 Family 16 Model 2 Stepping 3Processor Count: 4RAM: 3583 MbGraphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series, 512 MbHard Drives: C: Total - 305141 MB, Free - 183571 MB; E: Total - 953867 MB, Free - 669909 MB; Motherboard: ASRock, N68C-S UCC,,Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials, Updated and Enabled
in 7 doesn't see any USB flash drives. Check in disk management - not showing up there either.AND........If I switch HDDs & revert to XP - same thing. No usb flash drives appear. And in control panel > disk management they do not appear as unassigned also.
I had a virus and am told I'm now clean - but I have two External hard drives that have all my stuff on them - that I don't want to lose (grimace). I downloaded the flash detector - but I can't get it to run - is it because it does not work on windows seven? If it does not is there something else I can maybe use?
I Can't find a flash player that works. everywhere I look it won't work. They say that it installs but when I go to a site that needs flash it doesn't work.
i've noticed that i can't get a flash player for my 64 bit ie so i've been using the 32 bit version, but i've got a problem.
playing some videos is fine... Internet and all of those are great.
my problem is when i go to a place like stickam or ustream or something like that ie closes on me when the site tries to access my camera and mic. that is annoying, but not too much of a problem.
my other problem is that i can't watch some embedded videos, even the ones i put into my own website from my own account on viddler. it just closes, restores the 'tab' and i go from there.
has anyone had this problem before? if so how did you fix it? i already tried the old 'uninstall and reinstall flash' bit and so far i've stuck out.
I'm using the latest FF release and when prompted to upgrade my Flash player, I do so. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and either way, a few days later I am prompted to upgrade again.
Don't know is this is a 7 issue or a FF issue or a Flash issue, but its getting tiring. Anyone else have this?
I bought a 500W PSU for my computer. It was too big for my apparently shorter than standard case, but when I was building my computer I flicked the red switch on the back (the europe to US voltage one) with it switched on (but the system wasn't functioning). There was a big green flash and a slight pinging noise.Just wondering, is that PSU totally done for?
i want to install Windows 7 to vhd, so i need to start install at boot , how can i install Windows 7 from hard disk?? i dont have a dvd and no flash above 2gb.
Having issues, with some flash applications, i.e. facebook: bejeweled, and amazon.com music preview. I dont know, if amazon music preview is flash based, but I don't want to try and look at the moment, because it would then force me to restart my computer to regain a network connection, because I lose internet connectivity, at that time.
I've installed the official windows 7 64bit realtek drivers from gigabyte, but still continues.
i have been using win 7 since the time it was out in beta stages.it's a wonderful os no doubt about that.but since 2-3 months i have been experiencing a strange problem regarding flash components on some specific sites or rather some specific pages on the sites. the problem appears only on e-sites like :
amazon paypal ebay
these are 3 i use.
if i browse ebay and amazon its perfectly fine..no issues..the minute i click on account/login/my account..everything becomes abnormal.
pages takes eternity to load up all the pictures /tabs/animations disappear all and all its like flash just suddenly stopped working
paypal does not open up. the site loads in 2 minutes with the problems i face when i click on account on the other 2 sites.
and yes i have reinstalled flash again and again..starting from a 4 month old flash to the newest one.standalone installer.
p.s- the adobe site dlm also doesn't do anything. it just loads and never downloads anything and then firefox/ie8 stops responding for 2-3 minutes.
i installed shockwave / all flash beta versions from standalone installers..the problem remains... i have no problem in flash otherwise - Internet/yahoo all works like charm.
i got an ok 1mbps(quiet fast in my part of the world) connection and a quiet fast 1700$ computer. so hardware and net connection is not an issue.
what i think its the security of win 7 + eset nod32 causing some problems because only the e sites are getting affected.
today Internet and other sites claim to require a new adobe flash plugin be downloaded, but even after going through the directions and running it and being told i am running flash whatever version and even restarting for good measure i come back and get the same flag that i need to instal this same plugin.

ive finished building my pc and i need to put the os on. But i have the os in a file because i dont have the disk, and i need to set it up on the flash to let my new pc boot up.
