Document In Excel 2010 Only Printing One Column Per Page
Oct 17, 2012
I am trying to print a document in Excel Starter 2010. The document contains the columns A to J and rows 1 to 466. When I try to print the document, only one column prints per page. I have tried selecting all the columns and changing the print selection but this just shrinks the column size, and prints it smaller. How do I change it so that I can print all columns A to J on the one page?
My Excel files restarting always, from time to time after my printing job. I don't know if my Printer(HP Deskjet F4280) not compatible with Windows 7 or to my Computer.

I've been trying to create a Task in Outlook from a Word Document that I have created on this computer. The idea is that a shortcut to the document is created as an Outlook Task. Click on the shortcut, and voila - there is the document. The "Create Microsoft Office Task" icon DOES send the document to Outlook as a Shortcut in a Task, however, when I open the task, Outlook says:"Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: Shortcut to 'document name'."It's NOT an unsafe attachment; Outlook WILL OPEN this document if I send it as an email attachment. Outlook will open .docx files types.
when I go to print a document, sometimes the save window opens up and no matter what I do it will not print. I have a document save in a certain font size and when i try to print it the font increases by itself and its too big for the page.
So, just a question more out of curiosity than anything, as I don't expect a solution (I know, pessamistic...)It's time to renew my passport and the application form is a protected pdf (no modification, no comments - only printing). After wasting a day looking for restriction decryptors, I just went with making a blank document to "double-print" ontop of the application form. The tree-huggers are going to love this, but after wasting about 20 pages (rotation, page order, orientation etc...) and a lot of time I now have it sorted, but my question is: Does anyone know of an app to overlay print jobs instead of manually inserting paper back into the printer tray?
I have installed on my computer Office 2007.When i opend a Word or Excel document and than try to close it i get the following error messages: "Microsoft office Word has stoped working"A Problem coused the program to stop working correctly. With Office 2010: I have a Word document with an embedded Excel chart. If I change the focus to some other program, then click back in the Word document, I see a box where the mouse is currently located (not the cursor - have to click again to get that to move) which shows information pertaining to one of the data points in one of the Excel charts. If I move the mouse over the op-up box, is disappears until the mouse is moved out of the box. If I click anyplace in the document, the box goes away.I have been experiencing this behavior ever since Office 2010 was installed - I do not remember if this was an issue with Office 2003. The behavior is clearly wrong and is quite annoying. Does anyone know what is causing this problem, and more importantly, how to get rid of it
Doing some research for a co-worker.... He is running Windows 7 64 bit and trying to print a large PDF document. There are Horizontal black bands of differing lengths coming from the right hand side of the page. This is the only document he is having a hard time with and it does not happen on every page, Seems to be Random (except that they print they same way on the same page every time he has tested the print job. The bands only print when the text is aligned on the right side. I am able to print the document from my computer (XP) with no problems. Also, every where there is a band the text disappears from the left hand side of the page.
I've recently moved from XP to 7 and realized that due to the change in path to my documents folder any references from one Excel workbook to another no longer work because the reference is to an absolute path and expects the "C:Document and Settings..." path rather than "C:users." that Windows 7 uses. Having to change each reference in my many spreadsheets manually is just not an option. Are there any tools that could help with this? I've already tried Find & Replace to change the path but the Excel still asks to select the actual file that i'm trying to link to which is still very time consuming.
I tried to print a document with the XPS printer thing and it wouldn't save no matter where I tried to save it, it said that I don't have permission. I am an administrator (and the only account on here).
My Windows 7 pro x64 system will not play the "Print Complete" sound after printing a document.I get the pop-up saying that the print job has completed, just like it did with Win XP. However, the sound is not played. The sounds applet in control panel has the "Print Complete" sound defined correctly and the Test button plays the sound. So I do not have an audio problem, and the .wav file is not blocked.I have looked for any options that could control the sound, but have not found any.
I saved a "dashboard" from a system that I bought. As the "save as type", I left it as "all files". When opening this later, it was not as expected. After trial and error, I discovered it should have been saved as "Web Page, complete" to get the desired page required.how to change the document already saved to "Web Page, complete". I have left it as a default setting but need to change the incorrect saving.
From time to time when I go to print something in Word 2003 it prints two pages per sheet. When I check "page setup" it's somehow automatically set itself to "2 pages per sheet" and I have to reset it to "normal".Is there some way I can stop this from happening.
my hp 895cxi is not printing at all apart from a test page which only prints black despite changing both cartridges. Windows has installed driver software for 895cse.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (original OS)The laptop is about 2 years now. I've tried re-installing office and it worked but then it blue screened again yesterday during an event we were having. I just also had a blue screen a while ago when restarting the system
I downloaded a file from email, worked on it while saving it every few minutes. Save the final copy. Then closed it. Can't find it anyplace. Microsoft Word Auto Recovery is not showing it any place. Search the date for files modified, it doesn't show anyplace. I was working in Microsoft Word 2010 on my laptop. This document is very important.
The last system change I made to Excel was to be able to open files as an Administrator. I managed to do that but I don't know how to reverse this. So why am I concerned? Ever since I did this I have not been able to open the specific file involved with the open-as-admin. After several attempts, I did get an error indicating that the file caused serious errors the last time is was opened.
i'm unable to open excel from windows explorer. I double click/right click and open any excel file from windows explorer and excel opens up but no documents show. I minimize and maximize and still no excel document. I open up excel and go to file and open the file from there then it opens. Also, when in windows explorer, when you select the excel document, the windows preview shows "this file cannot be previewed because of an error in the microsoft excel previewer".
I am in the process of assisting some users in switching from Win XP/Office 2003 -> Win 7/Office 2010 and have hit a roadblock. I have a user that has an excel macro that opens an ADO connection to a SharePoint and grabs a record of the excel files on the SharePoint. The macro works perfectly on XP/2003 and XP/2010 but fails on 7/2010.
They are using this connection line: Code: davDir.Open "", "URL=http://SharePoint/Directory/URL", _ adModeRead, adFailIfNotExists, adDelayFetchStream Set davFiles = davDir.GetChildren() Once they have the record they iterate through each Excel file on the SharePoint to open and parse them.
On Windows 7/2010 I get these errors when it gets to the davDir.Open line:When they error trap it throws this error:Quote: Object or data matching the name, range, or selection criteria was not found within the scope of this operation. Without error trapping it throws this error:Quote: Run-time error '-2147217895 (80040e19):Automation error I can connect to the SharePoint fine via IE or File/Open in Excel 2010. I have tried every variation of the URL I can and I just keep getting the same error.
I cannot open my file from Excel 1997 even though I tried to used your suggested converter what is the appropriate thing to use for me to read my file completely ?
I sometimes get a script error when getting data from web when using Excel 2010.
This seems to depend on the ISP I'm using as I can take the laptop into some Wifi enabled Cafe's and EXCEL gets the data without the error popup.
Since I like to run some of these as background queries (updating Stock prices for instance) is there any way to skip or supress the popup. I've just about tried every possible option both in OFFICE and IE.
I just changed out my President's XP-Pro to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.We store all of our Word & Excel docs on a 6.5 Netware server.Yes it's old and out of date - but it cost money to change it. so.....I had no problems ever with XP but with Windows 7 when you open a Excel file it ive the old BSOD.It may not do it every time, sometimes I have to open, close a couple of times and then it happens.I have no other problems in connecting to the Netware server.BTW - I'm using the Novell Cient 2 SP2 for windows 7
I can't get the hyperlinks to work between Publisher 2007 and Excel 2010 on my new computer with Windows 7. Also sometimes publisher closes down unexpectedly. Had not problem on old XP with Publisher 2007 and Excel 2003. Is this a compatibility issue?
I have my printer installed in my work domain PC. I try to print one page, and then after this my print spooler stops working. I have to start it manually, and after another page printed, it stops again. It's so annoying to start it after each print.
I downloaded from the HP site the drivers for the HP 6480 printer for Window 7. However the printer does not print. When I try a test page, it comes through the printer, but no print is on the page. The window on the printer shows what looks like two ? Marks above the two icons that looks like tear drops. I can't get rid of the ?.
