When I run the program from the start menu the title menu comes up and when I click start a box pops up saying 'Please insert successful driver DVD to continue or Cancel to quit programme', So i then put the dvd into the laptop and it makes all sorts of stuttering noises and I keep clicking ok on the box and it just keeps returning the same message. Basically I can't run the program. It's not the CD because I have just installed and opened it on another laptop just fine. The problem laptop plays movies from DVDs no problems it's just this program I can't open.

I am running Win 7 on a Intel Core I7 920 processor. My motherboard is a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R FE motherboard. My RAM is (4) G Skill F3-16000CL9-2GBRH 2G sticks of DDR3 RAM. It says the type is PC3-10700H. When I check my system settings in windows, it says I have 8 GB installed but only 6 GB usuable. Is there any way to make it so that all of it is usable
my cd drive doesnt recognise certain cds but will recoginse others. the cd it wont recognise is brand new so there isnt anything wrong with the cd itself
A card that i got installed recently it installed fine after start up but is not letting me install or even recognizing any hardware i plug into it. It might be a dodge driver that was intalled but ive uninstalled a few times and windows 7 doesnt even ask me after boot up for a installer it just searches the net and installs by itself. I need to get this fixed fast as i have lots of hardware i want to connect with it.
After I have installed windows 7 onto my laptop, it doesnt recognize things like my scroll bar on my touch pad, I dont think it recognizes my chipset because some games I have tried to play lately say I dont even have a chipset... What is causing this? Does Windows 7 not configure to your computer when you install it? Im confused.
I have recently bought a DVB-T TVRadio tuner (usb stick) The brand is a localized one existing only in Greece (Turbo-X) link translated: Google Translate Anyway, the thing is that although it is fully functional (TV+Radio) with the software it comes with(ViVaTVViVaRadio), when i use it with WMC only the TV works On Music>Radio tab shows "to play FM radio, you must first install a radio tuner"
Useful info: I believe the whole product is an almost exact copy of one of the Kworld's tuner sticks, because the software that comes with the tuner is directly from Kworld Multimedia (with a tiny amount of name editing) and the remote control is identical to Kworld's remote (which is ,by the way, set up for WMC and not for ViVaTV).
I have a new Notebook, an LG X140, with Windows 7 Home Premium ... activated as Genuine. It only came with 512 MB of RAM so I decided to use ReadyBoost and a 4 GB USB Drive to add more RAM.I selected "Dedicate this device to ReadyBoost" which selected 3851 MB. It only actually created an extra 2 GB of RAM. I believe I understand why there was only 3851 MB available and why it only could create 2 GB of RAM from that. so that isn't so much of an issue for me.I then used a 1 GB SD Chip which is ReadyBoost Compatible and added that to ReadyBoost the same way, hoping that I could push it to 4 GB of RAM ... however my computer still only shows 2 GB of RAM. I have tried swapping different USB Drives and SD Cards but with no success, I can't seem to get my computer to recognize any more than 2 GB of RAM.
i connected my old laptop satta drive via usb to my presario laptop. it loads drivers but i am not seeing it displayed on the my computer window. i cannot acess the drive
I have recently installed Win7 Ultimate on my PC - was running Vista Home Premium.Had no problems until last week. I had a BSOD, which surprised me, haven't seen one of those in a while. Major error on my part to not write down all that sais, but there it is.Now I have NO sound at all. Actually, my computer does not recognize the monitor speakers, nor does it recognize external speakers, when I tried using a pair of them instead, nor does it recognize headphones when plugged in to the jack. The computer informs me that the device is simply not plugged in - even though it IS.I have downloaded and updated every driver I can think of to no avail. So I am now at a standstill as to what to do.
I have a new laptop, which was set up for me in the shop. Everything was working perfectly. Now however, my PC is not recognising the printer. I have previously been able to print from this laptop using the same cable, printer and USB port.
When I try to 'troubleshoot' this problem, I get a message that the printer driver is not installed. I thought Windows 7 automatically installed devices when connected via USB?
I have double checked the cable with another laptop and all is fine. I have double checked both USB ports with other devices and all is fine.
I'm new to this site so hopefully i don't do anything wrong!! I consider myself fairly smart with computers but my laptop has gone beyond my brain At first it would just reboot itself after being on it for a little bit, I tried downloading an antivirus (avast) and it all went downhill!! Now it doesn't even recognize the windows 7, gives me a black screen telling me error and to put in disc, which I've never had one, and says: FILE CI.DLL STATUS:0XC00000E9 I cannot get it to go any farther than there,is there anyone that might be able to help?
Before I made the commitment to use Windows 7 as my primary OS, I figured I'd experiment in a dual boot environment. My current setup is Windows XP (x32) installed on a 500GB SATA drive. This drive has a partition for the OS and a separate partition for all of my files and data. To install Windows 7 I removed my SATA drive and (successfully) installed Windows 7 (64-bit) onto an 80GB IDE drive (controller 0, disk 0).
After the installation I shut down my system, reconnected my SATA drive, changed the BIOS boot order to look at my IDE and Windows 7 booted without a hitch. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8U-939
Now, with Windows 7 running and my SATA drive connected, Windows 7 does *not* recognize the drive. It is completely missing from the disk manager. I loaded the drivers for my motherboard ((however since the MoBo is a couple years old, it doesn't have Vista or Windows 7 drivers)), it loaded quasi-successfully but spat out some error about it not being totally successful. Now, after I log into Windows 7 I receive an error that goes like,
Code: Initial ALiRAID error!!Please Check:
1) ALiRAID driver is installed 2) ALiRAID controller is connected to disk drive(s)
When I reboot my computer and switch the boot order in the BIOS to boot from my IDE drive, my system will boot into Windows XP without any problem at all. I've also switched the BIOS setting from "RAID" to "IDE" for the SATA drive and that appears to have done nothing towards Windows 7 being able to access it.
There's gotta be some way to get Windows 7 to see my SATA drive, doesn't there?
I have a Sony Vaio E-Series VPCEC1S1E with a Combi drive optiarc bc-5500-h it will play CD/DVD's but I put in a Blu Ray and it's say "Please insert disc into drive"
the driver is up to date and I have played Blu Rays for the last year but doesn't even recognize there is a disc in the drive now the computer was preinstalled with Windows 7
I have a Lite-On LightScribe 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive IHAS424-98 that I recently installed on a brand new computer that I built myself. I am running win 7 64 bit. I have been having problems with auto play and I thought it might have been the drive so I ordered another drive and its doing it with that one too.
What is happening is when I insert a software CD or DVD windows typically would autoplay the setup.exe or whatever the .exe file is (depending on your autoplay settings). Well, for some reason my computer is not even seeing those files. If I browse the DVD I can open the file that way but for some reason autoplay cannot see the setup.exe file to auto start it. My Autoplay settings are all on default except the software one which is set to install. For some reason it seems that every DVD or CD I enter is recognized as a mixed content cd and the default action when double clicking the drive icon in my computer is to launch the folder with all the files in it. Also, typically if its a software cd or dvd the drive icon changes to the exe file's icon. Mine doesn't and remains the same. The name changes from DVD RW Drive (F: ) to DVD RW Drive (f: ) OFFICE12......(this is office 2007 CD). I searched google and everywhere for any similar problems but could not find any solutions. I have tried everything. And so everyone knows the CDs/DVDs I run all have the autorun.inf file
i have a 1Tb external Drive (USB) and its never had any problems until now. I just recently reinstalled windows and when I try plugging in my external drive and then powering it on. My PC doesn't recognize it. I know that it knows its plugged in because it is showing up in Device manager and it is showing up as the "Safely remove usb" in the task bar.
I've been searching the forums for a solution to this and I don't know what to do: [code] so according to the MOBO spec, I could have 8Gb ram.I bought 2x 4GB Corsair memory.I have made sure that the memory chips are seated correctly BIOS detects that there is 8GB of RAM installed here is the system report on the RAM: Installed Physical Memory (RAM)8.00 GB Total Physical Memory3.93 GB Available Physical Memory2.22 GB basically my system is detecting but not using one of the RAM chips.I don't have a setting in BIOS to map memory.I can't get to the motherboard to adjust any jumper/ voltage settings CPU-Z shows both chips installed and working.I am running windows 64bit been into MSCONFIG and maximum memory is unchecked and this is where all my efforts have now run out. so I don't get it. 8Gb installed, 4Gb available?
i decided to upgrade my laptop from 3gb ddr3 of ram to 8 gb ddr3 , now i faced an odd problem where i got to realize that despite windows recognizing all 8 gbs of ram in system information (msinfo32) under "Installed Physical Memory" i realized that both system information and task manager shows "Total Physical Memory" to be 2.93 gb , i searched the forum throughly up till i came across this thread : Memory - Set Maximum Amount Used by Windows 7 now i got to realize that 32 bit windows can only handle 4gb of ram . now trying to sort my options i have a few questions i need to be adressed :
1 - is it smooth to upgrade from 32bit to 64bit of windows , i have heaps of programs installed over years that i cant risk to lose nor have the time to reinstall if i took the fresh installation option :/ if possible then how ? any specific tool or windows version ?
2 - any known porting , utilities or hacks that were made to make 32bit os recognize all 8gb ram ?
3 - if non of the above were valid , if i am to work with only 4 gb , why does my system read only 2.93 gb of which ? i can notice it sums up all spare 5 gb as "Hardware Reserved" . i investigated to see if the extra 1 gb is reserved by graphics card but only to find that my graphics card is only up to 750 mb of shared memory and those already are shared from "Total Physical Memory" and not hardware reserve , why i have access to only 3 of the 4 gbs of rams i'm allowed ?
I have a WDS set up for my district, it works fine for all machines except my dell latitude 2120s. The issue is when you boot the netbook to the WDS it cannot contact the server to upload the image. The issue also happens if you try to send an image to the machine, it says there is no network driver. Ive tried injecting WDS with the network driver from dells website, as well as the drivers package disc from dell. Ive even tried a few other drivers from different places without any luck. Booting to WDS has no issues. While booted, i can pull up the cmd prompt but cannot ping anything on my network.
I was installing World of warcraft (dvd-rom disks) and fell asleep while the 1st disk was installing. I woke up 2 hours later and had a prompt to insert disk 2. I inserted disk 2 and it wouldnt even recognize the disc was present and from then on the drive wont detect any dvd but it rips and plays music cd's with no problem?
i have win xp machine and nvidia 9800gt 1gb card. I bought windows 7 ultimate 64bit yesterday. And do clean install of windows 7.Then download and install nvidia driver, i see my gpu dedicated memory only 128mb!. I tried change driver, no difference. Why my pc recognizing only 128mb of gpu memory? And how to use full gpu memory? Any solution? My system: intel core 2 duo e4500 3ghz, 4gb ddr3 memory, 200gb ata hard disk, 500w thermaltake psu, intel q41 mobo, nvidia geforce 9800gt
My audio on my Asus EEEPC isn't working. The system is not reconizing that there is any audio. No drivers ect. I updated all the drivers from ASUS and i restarted the audio from Configeration side of the house but still nothing.
I've recently unistalled my display drivers (because I was going to update them), and after the reboot, my USB devices (keyboard/mouse) will not work at the Windows logon screen. I've been reading this is a known issue.
Here is where my problem is, I can't do a system restore because I don't have it setup, and I really won't/can't format. (stupidly only have 1 partition with lots of valuable data on it)
I'm really just interested in manually installing the USB controller device that my display drivers somehow uninstalled. (I think it's related to the chipset).
I have access to the cmd prompt in a weird repair mode that I've been able to access, that does have keyboard and mouse support. So I'm just interested in getting Windows to recognize the keyboard/mouse at the Login screen so I can actually access windows.
EDIT: The USB mouse/keyboard will work for BIOS, but the second the windows loading screen loads, the sensor for my mouse and the light on my keyboard turn off, and is not recognized until I go back pre-windows load. If I can just get past the logon screen, windows would do it's "new hardware recognized" thing. But I am stuck at the logon screen.
EDIT2: I'm running a AMD 785G chipset. I uninstalled Catalyst 12.3 to upgrade to the latest. on an AMD HD6950.
