Jan 2, 2012Header says it all--and yes I've searched here and despite similar (exact?) thread topics being closed as "solved" none of the "solutions" worked for me.Windows 7 64bit, Adaptec 29160 SCSI card (which device manager does not recognize), scanner shows there as "HP C2520A SCSI Processor Device."ried VueScan and it claims no scanner is installed.When I click on the scanner in device manager and try to install the drivers I got from HP (presumably for Windows 7 64bit) it says it can't find them.When I try to install them manually by left clicking the .inf file, I get the ole "the inf file you selected does not support this method of installation."On most forums the responses run the gamut of idiocy, commonest being "why don't you throw that elegant machine away and buy one of these late-model pieces of junk that are supported by windows 7."

Dec 5, 2011I Have Vostro 3300 i3 , Corsair 8GB (2*4GB) 1333MHZ, 120GB Agility 3 SSD. Installed a fresh copy of windows 7 Enterprise x64. I get a blue sceen every second time I turn my comp on, something strange. What can it be?

I can't get drivers for my Canon CanoScan LiDE 50 Scanner to install on Windows 7 (works fine on Vista)
See on the Canon Website that they are not showing any Windows 7 drivers for this scanner which I can't get to work.
Tried LiDE 60 drivers but could not get these to install with my scanner.
Is there anything I can do to get this working. Or do I have to reboot Vista if I want to continue using this scanner?

Oct 30, 2011I have a HP Laserjet 3050 PCL 5. The scanner software worked great with XP but won't install with Windows 7. Has anyone found an alternate software? The printer is an all in one and it doesn't make sense to have to replace it because of the software. HP has been no help.

Jan 3, 2012So I have a fairly old scanner (Canon CanoScan 3000f) that doesn't have any 64 bit drivers.So I tried a program called VueScan but it doesn't work with my scanner, and neither does another thing called SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy).Pestering Canon for a 64 bit driver failed,So anyway, the only solution I can think of is installing a virtual machine with 32 bit, but it's too troublesome to have to start up a virtual machine just to scan something, and then go through all the trouble of transferring the file from the virtual PC's hard disk to the host HDD.Is there any easier solution? Maybe a universal scanner driver for 64 bit Windows?
