Header says it all--and yes I've searched here and despite similar (exact?) thread topics being closed as "solved" none of the "solutions" worked for me.Windows 7 64bit, Adaptec 29160 SCSI card (which device manager does not recognize), scanner shows there as "HP C2520A SCSI Processor Device."ried VueScan and it claims no scanner is installed. When I click on the scanner in device manager and try to install the drivers I got from HP (presumably for Windows 7 64bit) it says it can't find them. When I try to install them manually by left clicking the .inf file, I get the ole "the inf file you selected does not support this method of installation."On most forums the responses run the gamut of idiocy, commonest being "why don't you throw that elegant machine away and buy one of these late-model pieces of junk that are supported by windows 7."
Unable to install the epson scanner driver on my windows 7 64 bit system. Apparently the problem is the windows image acquisition, how can I reload or fix this? I ran the sfc scan and it found no problems?
I have a HP Laserjet 3050 PCL 5. The scanner software worked great with XP but won't install with Windows 7. Has anyone found an alternate software? The printer is an all in one and it doesn't make sense to have to replace it because of the software. HP has been no help.
I am using Windows 7 and recently had to reinstall it. I also reinstalled my Brother printer software from the original CD that came with it including the scanner driver.Everything installed except the scanner driver. I uninstalled all the Brother software and then downloaded the drivers from the internet and still I got the same result, no scanner driver installed. I repeated this multiple times and the scanner driver just won't install.
I am having difficulty in installing the drivers for a Canon 8400F scanner on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop.I've downloaded the correct drivers from the Canon website, and installed themThey firstly unzip, then they seem to install but I don't get any message that the installation has completed. When I check Device Manager the scanner is not listed (and thus the drivers have not installed).
My Canon LiDE 600F scanner is failing to install on Windows 7 (64bit) (version 6.1 build 7600).
This scanner works fine on WindowsXP, however.
I spoke Canon about this and they obviously get this complaint all the time and they say that their drivers (which they have failed to up date ) work "just fine" and that it is a problem with Windows 7 itself and that I need to speak to Microsoft (!)
I just realized that Canon didn't update their driver for my CanoScan Lide 50 Scanner for Windows 7 64-bit. I tried to find a work around and came across an article that said the CanoScan Lide 60 driver works..ersAndSoftwareBut the folder I got with 7-Zip didn't have the file in it that it said it should, so I tried to just install it directly.Windows flashed a popup asking for permission to install, right over where it said where it would be installed, and when I clicked OK, that other window disappeared. Now I can't find where it's installed. The article explained that I have to manually update the driver. I found the scanner in the device manager, but since I can't find the driver anywhere, I'm stumped. I wouldn't even be able to uninstall it
