I'm having a problem loading windows as well. My computer mid use was starting to seriously lag and when I restarted it it began the dreaded system repair system restore loop. It tries to repair itself again and again and then says it can't and asks if you want to shut it down. This has happened once before and it took me forever looking thru forums to find the solution. I just can't remember what I did. I wanna say I did something with a command line. I don't have a windows disc. And I don't believe I did a complete factory reset the last time either.
I just finished my first computer build. It was working fine, so I decided to take my graphics card and install it since everything else seemed good.
I install it and the most recent drivers from ATI. When I reboot, it gets to "Starting Windows" and then restarts. Safe mode still works. In my BIOS it says the GPU voltage is 0.000, however the fan on the card is spinning.
I've tried everything I could find on the web to no avail.
I am trying to upgrade Vista to Windows7 Home Premium and I got this message after the installer copied ~2GB of files on my PC:
"setup can't continue. restart the computer and restart setup. when prompted try getting the latest updates."
I restarted the PC and restarted the setup and I got the same message. I updated the Mother Board Bios and restarted the setup I got the same message. I have tried both options (get update and no update during the setup). And it didn't work.
I do not want to do custom install (fresh install) on my computer.
Last night i shut down and removed my plug from the pc because of lightning but today i tried to start my pc and it wont start at all. The lights inside my pc are all on so i know there is power going through it but when i press start button it wont turn on so i took my pc removed everything cleaned and refit but the PC wont start the white light thats supposed to come on the POWER ON button isnt glowing but there are other lights inside pc that are on so wht is the problem?
well i opened up my computer and put the GeForce 6200a AGP card in and closed it shut, then my computer wasnt turning on when i tried to turn it on. so i took the card out and tried starting it again but it still wouldnt turn on. On the back of the computer (where you plug in the power cable) theres a green light thats blinking. Not sure if that has something to do with it?
I have a Dell Inspiron N7070 icore 5 laptop (17" screen) that I've had for about 10 months. Within the last 2-3 weeks, the computer started having problems starting. At first it happened a couple of times but after kicking into Startup repair (which itself never has repaired the issue) and shutting it down via on/off button, it would eventually come back up. Then it just froze and wouldn't start at all in my home environment. My brother works in IT for an organization and I asked him to take a look at it which he did. He first restored it to it's original state through the Dell Backup program at his house but when I brought it back to my house it immediately froze in the same way (the process starts but just gets hung up). I had an older router (G series) and he suspected that the problem might be related to that but when I got a new router (n series) the same thing happened when he repeated a restore process and brought it back to my house. It did actually reach the user choices a couple times but froze from there when trying to connect to the wireless system. Next he restored it again but this time used a restore image program (Acronis True Image 2012)and once again it worked perfectly at his place. We first took it to a different environment (Panera) to try to do a wireless connect but it got hung up there before it could connect. We did another restore image via Acronis and it worked fine in the Panera. However, when I took it home immediately afterward, it once again got hung up after starting and I had to do another restore image with the Acronis and it worked like a charm after that. When I turned it on this morning, it froze once again while starting and I once again proceeded to do another restore image with the Acronis program and it worked fine. What is going on here....why does it keep freezing in different environment or after certain durations of time? Is there some problem with Windows 7 when it initially tries to connect or is it something else perhaps corruption in the drivers? I also should state that we ran Malware Bytes and it was clean after it was restored. In addition, I should also mention that almost from the beginning this laptop had a tendency to freeze at certain times usually if left unattended for awhile (while still on) or when put in sleep or hibernation mode but until recently (as stated above) it never froze when starting up. Could there be a connection between all these glitches noticed from the start?
Before saying you dont have the requirements to post a Bsod theard its because i just want a single question cuz the cause is alrady known I got this bsod of Bugcode_usb-driver 0x000000fe when i was atempting to start my comuter and i was having a single usb driver besides my keyboard and mouse it was my portable vodafone internet usb and thats the single cause i can see and i want to ask you the pro-s if i should do something about it?
Recently my computer (HP Pavilion Slimline s7700e PC, running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit) has been starting with two short beeps; lower in tone than previously... the first beep a little lower in tone than the second. The tone repeats itself one more time.
A couple of weeks ago the computer was making beeps that signaled a memory error, so we removed and replaced the memory modules and the computer booted up again, but with the new tones. It's been running fine since.
This morning I attempted to turn the computer on and nothing happened. I went and booted up my laptop to check my email, and while I was doing so the desktop computer suddenly came alive, with the same two lower-toned beeps has been the norm lately.
I am having an issue with my laptop. It keeps starting back all the time and I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. I can't have access to safe mode, when I try safe boot repair it won't work either. When I try to start back from the last time it was ok, don't work either. I tried downloading something named AVG rescue cd and it doesn't seem to work either....my computer doesn't seem to wanna read CD's or DVD's.
i want to empty my computer,i have the win XP cd and i have put it into my cd drive, but when i start the computer it wont load the XP setup,so how can i put it to open?

It started yesterday when I went to play Borderlands with my brother. My computer just shut down after a few minutes in the game. I was playing Civ 5 all night long just the night before and played Borderlands like 2 days ago and I didn't encounter any problems.Right now, whenever I run a DX9-11 game, it just shutdowns my computer either after a few minutes loading or while loading. (Tried with Borderlands,ANNO2070, Kingdom of Amalur, Civ 5) It does not crash when I only surf on the net or play some flash games (ie. Dofus)[CODE]
I have a Macbook Pro and I'm running Windows 7 through Bootcamp. Everytime I try to start my computer a BSOD appears after the window logo with "STOP: C0000135 The program cant start because %hs is missing. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I have tried booting through safe mode and all the modes listed when pressing F8 when starting the computer. None of the boot properly. All I get is a BSOD and computer shuts off and restarts.
I have for the last day had a notepad debug when starting my computer and getting to the desktop. I have no idea of how the debug has happened, or what it is or anything like that.

Then I asked a computer guy on STEAM and he said to try a fresh install of windows, but I already have windows 7 Home premium from the (irl)store. After trying to update the BIOS I've only failed, I've failed and failed. This happens on DiRT Showdown too, and Call OF duty Blackops 2.

I have my USB plugged in, it's bootable, and it has Windows 8 installed on it. When I restart my PC, my BIOS has USB set to first boot. It just keeps beeping and beeping until I remove the drive and reboot.
I recently upgraded my computers power supply and graphics card to brand new ones. When I oot my computer up, it is now stuck on "windows is starting" screen. When I try to boot in any of the safe modes, I load up to atipcie.sys then my computer freezes and never continues to load the rest of safe mode. When I click repair computer, I get stuck at the Blue windows screen, and as soon as it starts up a cmd box pops up then quickly closes before I could even read it. I also tried loading last working configuration but no luck. Even when I load boot recovery mode, a cmd box comes up quick then closes and continues to be stuck.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1440, and after it crashed while I was out for Dinner yesterday, I have been encountering so many problems..Yesterday, I was able to get back into my "Account" and access my desktop, but after a few minutes of being on, every single program/application I had opened turned "Not Responding" and stayed that way.
Now today.. I thought it had gotten better, so I did virus scans, registry updates, defragmenting, all of that, and my Laptop worked fine for a few hours. Then it became worse.
I scheduled a Disk Check, and when it finished, it restarted my laptop, but after the Windows Logo that pops up, all I get is a black screen and a cursor that I can move around. This not only occurs in Normal Mode, but Safe Mode, Safe Mode + Network, and Safe Mode + Command Prompt
I was shutting down my laptop last night and there was a program (Adobe Reader, I think) that caused it to wait before shutting down. I left it assuming it would eventually shut down. I pushed the power button this morning to turn the computer on, and it says "resuming Windows" and then goes to the screen that says "Logging off". It has been hung up on that screen for over 30 minutes now, so who knows how long it did that last night when it was supposed to shut down. I can press and hold the power button to get it to power down, but when I press the power button again, it starts the same "resuming Windows" stuff all over again. I tried tapping the F8 button when it was restarting, but no luck. I can't use my computer at all, This is a pretty new laptop (Dell), so this is especially frustrating. Not to mention I have LOTS of work to do and I everything is on that laptop.
I have just bought a new PC, installed windows 7 64bit and it doesnt seem to want to shut down or restart, when i press shut down i have a blue screen appear and when i try to restart nothing happens. I have tried doing the same in 'safe mode' and still the same problem
Every time I restart windows my computer bluescreens. It started happening about two months ago. If needed here are my computer specs: I'm not sure why but I always get this message after I sign in: Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown.
My computer has been running very slowly lately after I restart it. On average after I restart, it takes noticeably longer to launch and run programs. If I leave it sitting on my desk running, somewhere between 12-36 hours after I restarted, it will run just fine. I defrag my drive regularly, and also run virus scans regularly with Malwarebytes and a few other tools. This has been a problem for a while and I've tried a lot of things to fix it with no luck, including registry defraggers / optimizers, cleaning temp files, CleanMem, and several other tools. I'd love some ideas for things to try.
I when I opt to restart my computer, it will not. As an example, if I download an update and restart it will not. The computer goes into a loop at the initial startup. Like it is hanging up and get it to the last step. Now if I press the button to the turn it on, it boots up fine.
my computer lately has been starting up a bit slower then usual i don't really know what/if theres anything wrong with it or if im just crazy/paranoid I reformat it once a month to make sure its always got that fresh install performance we all know and love. theres been no BSOD'S/random popups/errors/or any other strange activity so i kind of doubt its malware related but im not ruling anything out. whatever you guys could recommend i do to ensure its not malware
I turned on my computer today and it stayed frozen at the starting windows screen for. Long time, but it would not move on. Then it jumped back and started booting the computer again but hung at the same spot. I tried starting my computer in safe mode, but it won't boot into safe mode either. I can not do any of the system recovery options. Also by BIOS has a password on it and I have no clue what it is, So I can't not access my BIOS.
