It seems my computer runs fine when im not connected to the internet but whenever i connect it freezes up and if i press Ctrl+Ult+Del it comes up with an error saying "The logon process was unable to display security and logon options" and have to force restart. I ran a malware scan and deleted one threat but the issue continues. The Malware scanner decteted BetterInstaller.exe and removed it although it still freezes up

After realizing i didnt have the driver i needed for my router, i then downloaded them onto a flashdrive and tried to install them on the new computer. this kind of worked except its now telling me i dont have the network capability of using the driver. We moved out in April and I just reconnected it last week. Now, the only icons I have running in my system tray are the volume and the HP digital imaging icons. My issue is that computer freezes when I browse the internet with Chrome, Firefox and Explorer. I can work with Explorer with one tab as of now - I can't open more than one because it freezes the entire computer in a minute or two after opening additional tabs. I have tried System Restore, Registry cleaner, defrag, anti virus scans Mbam scans etc but nothing works.
A few days ago I had shifted the computer to a warmer room and stupidly put the chassis next to an inverter which emits heat. I used to have freezes earlier but it was a rare occurrence maybe just 1-2 times a week - but yes it used to be there before. Opening many tabs as I wanted in chrome, firefox or explorer was never a problem earlier. I have the problem is only with internet browsing - playing videos, music, work on excel, ppt etc is no problem.

My previous 2 laptops came with recovery discs but the samsung had only come with the windows 7. I had installed Windows 7 and after doing so, checked everything out. I realized that Samsung has many specific programs and drivers that come with their computers and in the process of formatting, I had deleted everything. The Connection was working about ten days ago and then suddenly stopped and read as an unidentified network no internet access. at one point is was not receiving packets but now it is but it still says no internet access on the IPv4 Connectivity. Media state is also enabled and the speed is 100.0 Mbps when i troubleshoot it says windows cant identify problem but in the details it says default gateway is available. when i use the cmd prompt ipconfig/all my local ethernet adapter has a physical address of all zeros.

anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter
there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!

When I open IE all I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." I know it is connecting to the internet because it downloaded the updates. I downloaded AVG, Adaware SE and Spybot Search and Destroy on another computer. I put these files on a cd. I tried to install AVG and Spybot but they wouldn't install because they couldn't connect to the internet to get the necessary files to install. I've had this problem on friends computer some time ago but can't remember exactly what I did to fix it
