My window start freezing, crashing or doesn't show anything on screen after I turn on the power. It happen randomly in window, safe mode and BIOS. It said "overclock failed" and I have to reset the system, but I don't remember ever overclocking it and I already reset the CMOS. This problem occur randomly and my computer DOES function properly in Windows once I passed the freezing, crashing or no screen random start-ups disasters. Seems turning on the computer is the only issue here. I am hoping someone can point me to the source of this problem. What control a computer start-up?
Im having screen freezes every couple of days. My whole computer just freeze what its doing.Been
-on word -on a game -watching movies -transfering data
So no specifi thing sets it off.Cant alt-cnt-delete.Its like a screen shot of my computer and watching a picture. Cant even move the mouse. My keyboard can change colours via buttons on it (logitech g110). I cant even change the colours coz its like the whole pc is in a time freeze..Due to this i dont get an "windows had an unexpected error" message when i restart the computer...
DSKCHK is being run upon boot now. It says it is deleting corrupt portions and repairing disk sectors but I am still getting the freezing, its just less severe now.I am also unable to shut down the computer without doing a hard shutdown.I've had my PC for around 2 years now but just recently I have been having 'intermittent freezing'. It will start when I am browsing the web, playing a game or just looking around my folders. I reinstalled windows about 3 weeks ago and all has been fine until now - when the error is returning. At first, one application will lock up. For 30 seconds or so, I will be able to minimize that window and explore other windows. After that, the freezing will spread to other applications I have open until the point where I can move my mouse around and click things but nothing happens. After about a period between 2-5 mins, everything 'unfreezes' at once, and all of the commands or things I have clicked on (during the time the PC locked up) open at the same time. It also disconnects me from any online connections (Games, Skype, Steam)
Thus I rarely get a BSOD although I got one mentioning memory mis-allocation a while back, but I didnt get the error code! [code]
I have an HP desktop with windows 7 ultimate on it. I just installed the Adobe master collection about a week ago. It was running fine until 2 days ago, it will freeze up and I can't open any browser, email or reboot. I have to do a hard shut down and then it works okay for a while and will freeze again.
After leaving my comp on overnight i wake up to non-responding programs, i shut down manually and then as i restart this happens. 5minute lag on welcome screen and then it turns blue with a moveable cursor. i have used system restore and created a new user but neither works. i can run perfectly on safe mode.
I have just purchased windows 7 ultimate, but i can't install it. When i try to install it the computer freeze up on the loading screen (windows logo). I've tried just about anything that comes to mind. The BIOS is American Megatrends Inc. v02.61.
I've installed Win 7 Ultimate x86. The problem I'm facing is that whenever I enable my sound card driver and try playing an audio, the audio stutters and the computer freezes. I have to restart, use safe mode to disable the sound card and then use my pc. I've looked all over the net for solutions and these are what I have done so far...
- Downloaded and installed codecs for High Definition Audio Device - Downloaded and installed Windows 7 x86 compatible driver for my sound card (Creative SB Audigy Value). - Disabled all audio enhancements - Changed playback sound to come through speakers (this one automatically happens if I re-enable the sound card).
I have an HP dv6 notebook with Windows 7 64 bit home premium edition. When I start up, my computer freezes. I have to log off then log back on to do anything. All updates and drivers are current. The only seems to be is with the virtual wi-fi adapter. I can't find a trusted site to download one. The device manager says everything is working properly.
I'm having a problem on my computer where freezing happens not buffering. I have windows 7, 64 bit, it's about one year old with a good graphics card, eight GB's of memory and a solid state hard drive. Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-2600 CPU 3.40 GHz.When trying to watch a movie a clip or a game it will play but I need to move the mouse or click it. Flash games are almost unplayable on Firefox and IE. On demanding games that I have bought there is never a problem. I'm told at the web sites to update Adobe flash player and Shockwave which I have, but that didn't do anything.Techs that I have talked to say go to restore point but it doesn't go back anywhere close to the date when the problem started. Or reinstall windows but that seems to be their answer for everything
it's been weeks and I've tried everything I could: system restore, disk check, disc fragmentor, safemode scanning, etc My problem is that for some reason, all of my scans (superantispyware, malwarebytes and avast), all start to freeze during full system scans. Quick scans are completely fine, but when it's system scan, for example, superantispyware would hang when it gets to system32
Whenever I download a file from the internet, my computer completely freezes and sometimes restarts itself within a couple minutes. Most of the time I end up shutting it down manually. It seems more likely to freeze if the file is large and if I'm using google chrome.Specs:Windows Home Premium 64bitIntel i7 3770 3.4GHzRadeon HD7870 GPU (Just bought it and installed the drivers)8GB RAMAntec 650 watt power supply1TB hard drive
My computer used to crash almost daily after being idle, and I was able to fix that. Now My computer seems to freeze about once a day after being idle for awhile. I usually get back to the computer after it has been idle for awhile, and it won't let me open any new programs. I try to open task manager and it doesn't let me do that either. I am able to shut down the computer, and when I turn it back on it works fine. [code]
I am trying to uninstall my .Net framework but my computer just crashes with a bluescreen or freeze. I get the same result when I use a .Net framwork cleanup tool. The bluescreen error code is usually Stop 0x0000000A.The reason I am trying to reinstall my .Net framework is because some programs such as Nem's tools fail to launch and instead get an error saying "side by side configuration is incorrect". If I try to repair my .Net framework i get the same bluescreen.
I bought the laptop used about a month ago and everything seemed fine. A few days later I noticed that the fan was running a lot, so I read a tutorial online and used a can of compressed air to clean out/off any dust and such. Right away the fan/computer was much quieter. My situation now is that whenever I watch a video (Netflix, HULU or even something stored on my HD), within a minute or two the video freezes/locks up or sound and video are lagging quite a bit. I have no indications of malware/virus and it seems everything else is mostly fine with the computer. I did the Windows troubleshooting and it recommended lowering resolution and turning off Windows Transparency. I haven't done either because I wanted to ask for help before I start changing settings. I installed Core Temp. 1.0 about an hour ago and both Core's are running between 72-76 deg C with a Tj.Max of 85*C.
I have been having a problem with my laptop. It will run fine, but then will freeze and the entire screen will be filled with some colored pattern. I have included the two most recent dump files.
But when i play pc games (all games). sometimes it just freeze randomly. i dont know why it is just going on freeze mode 1-2 sec and than back to normal
I have a problem running MMORPG games on Windows 7, they are: warhammer online and Aion. At some point during game (could be anything between 5 minutes and hour) the game freezes and speakers start repeating annoying sound (almost always same sound).
Can you please help to understand the nature of my problem and fix it?
I have tried following:
- Run Aion as administrator
- Run Aion in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode
- Disable system notifications for all accounts
- Disable firewall
- Install native windows GPU drivers (prior I had ndvidia latest drivers)
- Use pci network card (I've read about problems with Atheros netwrok cards) and disable built-in one
- Run FurMark test for maximum PC load
- Run BurnIn test to load: CPU, GPU, RAM, Network card, Hard drive
- Disable memory remapping in bios
What I have learned:
- I usually set up burn in test to run for 6 hours. All tests before I replaced newtwork card whcih did not stress it were successful. Two of two tests which stressed newtwork card result in same freeze. After network card replacement two tests whcih also stressed network card were successful.
When i try to open a application from desk top it does not open , the mouse cursor changes as if the application is trying to load the app but never loads and i am not able to perform any other function and i have to restart which does not change anything after the restart.
I was wondering if you could help me out with a problem I have experienced recently. Since a week ago, my computer has started to freeze at random times, which would lead to some random applications closing such as chrome or microsoft security control. I can still use my mouse and such, but the computer would be completely unresponsive. I have tried to do clean installs, with vista, and the problem still persists. I then used windows 7 to do a clean install and the problem still occurs. And at almost every startup the CHKDSK runs. I tried updating my graphics card, and still nothing has happened.
Ive been with this problem for a while, my computer freeze and the speakers start making weird noises. I have a log of the error but I dont know how log things work, this one is from the security tab
A few days ago I was trying to copy a file to a usb drive and the computer froze. I couldn't access Task Manager and had to reboot to free everything up. Later when I tried to click on a game icon to open the program the computer froze up again and I had to reboot again. This has now happened several times over a few days. I have tried to find a solution but at at my wits end. I even tried system restore, but found there was nothing to restore, although I had created restore points in the past. I even tried installing an image of the system and other files, but that didn't work. Although I know a little about computers I am a novice at these sorts of problems.
i have recently built a computer and i am experiencing frequent freeze-ups and bsod events with it. none of my previously built rigs have experienced this, and the most recent computer used several of the components currently in use, including the ssd, graphics card, case/ps, cpu cooler, and windows 7. [code] all of this has been assembled recently, though many of the components (listed above) have been in service for some time.nothing is overclocked.i have experienced more freeze ups than bsod. these have come at all different conditions, including web-browsing, watching video (both wm player and online Internet), downloading files while computer is unattended (i return and find computer unresponsive) and occasionally while gaming (mostly ms flight sim x). i have not determined a pattern.cooling is very good in the case, and the asrock board fan controllers maintain the cpu reported temp below 45c at idle and i have not seen the core temp above 60c in any situation other than a run of the program 'core damage'. i followed the directions for how to assemble a help thread for this forum, but i have not looked up any error codes yet (have not ever needed to with windows 7) so i will look into that in parallel.
My Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit machine is only stable in Safe Mode.
If I boot normally, I can do anything for about 10 minutes and then the system stops responding. I can still move the mouse, click icons, things even highlight when I hover over them, but nothing happens. Pages say loading forever and never complete. If I try to open task manager, or Ctrl-Alt-Del, or double click anything, nothing happens. The only way to "recover" is to power off an power back on.
Chkdsk reports no problems. MS Security Essentials is up-to-date and has scanned w/o finding anything. Kaspersky rescue disc running in it's native linux found nothing. Combofix found nothing. Malwarebytes found nothing. SFC.exe /scannow doesn't find anything wrong either.
I can't get any sort of event viewer info because I don't think anything is failing that is being caught and registering there.
I'm at my whits' end here. I have a new HDD that I bought some time ago but have never installed. My last resort is to just do a clean install on that new drive and consider the old (current) drive faulty after 4 years. I don't want to do that though if I can just figure out what's causing the behavior and take care of it.
For the last week or so, I have been unable to watch Netflix videos without constant freezing and the sound popping and buzzing (after a minute or two it continues playing). I'm not sure whether or not this started before or after I uninstalled/reinstalled my internet drivers, (midterms stopped my video viewing cold) but they shouldn't be related, should they? Sometimes after this error, I get a popup message that says my NVIDA graphics card stopped working. (I havent been able to capture the exact wording.) I was going to try un/reinstalling the graphics card, but when I went to, I found I wasn't sure what to do. Do I do it to "NVIDIA GeForce G210M" under display adapters, or "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" under Sound, video and game controllers. In addition, "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" is actually listed 4 times in my device manager. Which one do I uninstall? Each one says that the best driver is already installed.
Recently i have installed a game called Command and conquer generals , and Command and conquer generals zero hour after installing it i download a game mods. My toshiba laptop satellite works fine , but after booting it up again the day after i installed those games my laptop stuck's up on welcome screen after putting up my laptops password . I try to fix this problem by going into safe mode and scanning for errors in "error-checking" option on computer's property . After scanning i managed to get through the welcome screen. But my new problem is that my laptop freezes after booting up , when i point my cursor in the taskbar it keeps on loading and never stop and when i open any program is suddenly stops , i cannot open anything.
i'm trying to work out some issues that have been plaguing my computer for a few weeks now. my problem is that my system will freeze and become unresponsive when watching Internet and other video players that use flash. i can't get back to normal even if i use ctrl + alt + delete or escape, forcing me to run a hard reset on my computer. an example of what i'll see is in the picture. so i uninstalled chrome, ran a full system scan and pc tuneup using norton 360, unistalled and reinstalled flash and uninstalled and reinstalled my nvidia gtx 560 ti driver.
this is a wierd thing happening and im baffled.it is a brand new build has:
I7 2600k cpu gigabyte GA Z68MA-D2H-B3 16GB ram seagate barracuda 1 TB 7200 rpm 60GB ssd 500GB hitachi 5400rpm microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse windows 7 zotac 560GTX 2GB grafix card
its is like the whole system just takes a pause, nothing happens, mouse and keyboard freeze up and the game pauses. even if there is no pause it happens.first noticed it in SWTOR mmo. last for a few minutes up to sometime 5 or 6 minutes. nothing happens even screen freezes then when it realeases it like nothing happened i just continue from where i left off except in a mmo then time passes as im frozen and i dont see it pass.i have swapped MoBo with an ASUS P8H67-M pro/csm with B3 revision and it still did it so i went back to my z68 chip set board
I am on a 640 GB western digital HDD running Windows 7 Professional.
The symptom is that the computer RANDOMLY - no pattern to the freezing whatsoever- freezes. During this time, whatever sound was playing will stutter for a while, the screen will remain frozen with the image that was last on it. Their is no keyboard response, numlock etc... or mouse response.
Upon restarting, the event log has no recollection of what caused the issue. I have checked, many, many times, over the course of 3 weeks now. The only error it contains is the one stating that the computer unexpectedly shut down. Nothing else is pertinent.
I have all the latest drivers, for everything, BIOS updates, etc... as well as windows updates.
On top of that, i have reformatted my computer, and the problem still persists, but here's the kicker:
On a secondary drive, running windows XP professional 64 bit, the computer works just fine, never freezes at all, so i doubt its any hardware component, i have left it on for days to test this, and it still functions properly.
