i'm trying to work out some issues that have been plaguing my computer for a few weeks now. my problem is that my system will freeze and become unresponsive when watching Internet and other video players that use flash. i can't get back to normal even if i use ctrl + alt + delete or escape, forcing me to run a hard reset on my computer. an example of what i'll see is in the picture. so i uninstalled chrome, ran a full system scan and pc tuneup using norton 360, unistalled and reinstalled flash and uninstalled and reinstalled my nvidia gtx 560 ti driver.
I bought the laptop used about a month ago and everything seemed fine. A few days later I noticed that the fan was running a lot, so I read a tutorial online and used a can of compressed air to clean out/off any dust and such. Right away the fan/computer was much quieter. My situation now is that whenever I watch a video (Netflix, HULU or even something stored on my HD), within a minute or two the video freezes/locks up or sound and video are lagging quite a bit. I have no indications of malware/virus and it seems everything else is mostly fine with the computer. I did the Windows troubleshooting and it recommended lowering resolution and turning off Windows Transparency. I haven't done either because I wanted to ask for help before I start changing settings. I installed Core Temp. 1.0 about an hour ago and both Core's are running between 72-76 deg C with a Tj.Max of 85*C.
whenever i try to watch a Internet video or any online flash video through my usual browser firefox, the video will freeze the entire works. it's not every time. sometimes the video will play through but almost always it'll freeze everything. can't move cursor and only by closing lid and going into sleep mode can i get back up and running. firefox 3.6.18, video drivers updated. flash updated.one curious thing did happen tonight for first time however. while i was scrolling through bookmarks looking for this site the video stopped but i was able to continue using computer. could not get video to replay however. sometimes everything freezes but cursor goes into that "working circle" mode. but still can't get it to unfreeze.
I came across a video, and i had to upgrade my flash player to play it. I did, and ever since my computer has been restarting on its own, anytime it wants! Aldo, there's a reset password option thing when i start my computer, like someone is controling it! What's going on?
UPDATE : i unistalled FP and redawnloaded it, the pc hasnt restarted yet, though the net seems to be awefully slow!
After beening pestered to the point of no return I downloaded Adobe Flash Player 11. Now no matter what I do the computer keeps freezing. reimage scanning states that the list below have crashed recently.
1. Microsoft-Windows-capi2 2. Microsoft(c) Register Server 3. Windows Backup 4. System Restore
Crashes occur mostly with videos and games. I have updated all drivers, etc....

I can't get sound from any of the web pages I've visited. I tried to install a codec package, and it won't allow me. I am the sole user of the computer, I'm running W7 64bit with a X-Fi soundcard. All other sound works fine and it is hooked up via spdif optical link to a seperate surround sound system.
Therefore, My first question, How do I get the sound to work?
2nd question, even if is or isn't the codec issue, why won't windows update the registry with the codec installation package (1402 error). I am the administrator!
My company has acquired a new client for tech support. I went there to install antivirus on their workstations as we do for all our clients. This new client has Win7 on all workstations and a small business server running in a domain environment. I installed Kaspersky on all 8 pc's in their business. The next day we got a call from one of them saying their computer was acting strange. Once I got there I discovered the pc would freeze when launching Quickbooks or Outlook. I ran a malware scan which turned up nothing. Then after some troublshooting steps I decide to uninstall Kaspersky. I didn't want to leave him with no protection so I installed AVG free. Same outcome. The computer only will operate without antivirus.
i have been through what feels like a million options to fix this but none have fixed my problem yet. When in a game specifically world of warcraft sometimes my screen will freeze for 1 to 2 seconds then come back all of a sudden. i have ruled out a graphics card issue and have narrowed it down to this. As many of you may already know the "scvhost.exe" issue lags up my entire computer and i believe is the culprit of the cpu bottleknecking. I have disabled windows update and windows defender two things that have been labeled with this issue and still the problem persists. Scv host is running 11 applications of itself currently and one of them is around 135k at all times. i have a amd 2.4 dual core and 6 gigs of ram my system usually flies. I am running out of ideas and frankly running out of patience.
When using Merlin X950D 3G on the Rogers network in Ontario Canada with Windows 7 64-bit the computer freezes. It worked with no problems in Vista 64-bit. It does not always freeze right away but eventually it does freeze. When using the laptop without the 3G adapter connected to WiFi instead the computer runs fine and does not freeze after hours of use.
When installing Windows 7 I did a clean full install and not the upgrade option.
I recently had BSODs and freezes.I was under the impression these were related. I found that the BSOD was a driver related to a logitech camera, which i ahve unistalled.I have since completed accidently stumbled upon "summary page events" in event viewer and have noticed all these errors were when ive been having these complete system freezes. [code] I ubilt my own PC. It is not overclocked and it runs very coolIm having 0 bsod's at all!
Ever since taking my laptop back to bestbuy for Mobo replacement (I plugged headphones into the USB jack on accident, rendering 3/4 jacks useless), she's been freezing randomly. I've narrowed it down i hope. After saving an Audacity *.aup file, and trying to reopen it, she freezes to where the mouse no longer moves and a CAD is impossible. Found out that Windows Audio Service (or one of it's dependancies) were causing it. Upon stopping WAS, the file was openable, but not playable, for the audio device was shut off. The freeze is only triggered by opening that audacity file. Elsewhere, it's random, sometimes with audio playing, sometimes not. Audacity also sometimes crashes while recording. Tried to repair my drivers, but windows says they're all the freshest bunch of audio drivers there are for my particular device.
My overclock setting have recently become unstable causing applications to freeze. I have captured pictures of my bios setting and in hope of getting some help regarding readjusting them. [code]
i cant get adobe flash to work in my rc build 7100 installed 5may to work. i have now tried about 10 times. it installs but i find the plug ins do not work in my browser ie7 and chrome. can someone advise me.
I have asked these forums for help many times already however my sound is not working and is causing flash multimedia to become choppy along with not playing any sound, such as the start up jingle will not play.
I recently bought an MSI Twin Frozr III 7850 OC and whenever I open any kind of Flash video (x64 BTW) the computer freezes and sound becomes distorted. The only way to regain control of the system is to reboot it. I have no other troubles with it, plays games great, runs quiet, etc. I am running AMD catalyst 10.4, reinstalled driver multiple times, to no effect.
My system specs, if they're relevant: Intel i5 2400 MSI Twin Frozr III 7850 OC Asus P8P67-M Pro Corsair GS 600W Hitachi CoolSpin 1.5TB Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit SP1
Win 7 Home Prem, MSE, SpywareBlaster. Adobe Flash appears to d/l, but the only place I can find it is Control Panel/Programs & Features. I've disabled as much of my security software as I can and then d/l it, with the same results.
I'm running Windows7 RC1 64bit. Most internet pages want me to download Adobe Flash Player. I suppose no one has told Adobe that they don't have a 64bit player. So, whether I say yes, download it or no, don't download it, the nagging continues.
Everytime I visit a site that uses Adobe Flash, it tells me I need to update to the latest version.. I download and re-install, and it works for awhile.. But eventually it asks me to update to the latest version again.. I keep updating to the same version, there is nothing new.. Why does it keep asking me to update, when I have the latest version?
I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I want to switch to 64-bit IE, but I can't find a 64-bit release of Adobe Flash Player (even alpha or beta). Can you help me?
i mean, it's enabled, but say for example, Internet, i click on a video, the player pops up and just freezes. then firefox freezes, same with ie. i'm on the latest version of flash.
I'm about to just reinstall Windows. Recently the sound on anything that uses flash in any browser is constant skipping/popping. The video timer moves as usual too. Any games, movies, etc. work just fine. I have tried about 5 different flash versions now and none of them work. I have tried to reinstall browsers too without luck. [code]
we just wanted to know how to report this problem of his where all of a sudden, he couldn't stream videos anymore without his laptop crashing.can i use the bsod reporting tool for this even though he doesn't encounter the bsod?he can view video files (with vlc for example), but when streaming videos like on Internet or dailymotion... his system freezes immediately as soon as the video loads and all he can do is restart.he's running windows 7 home basic 32-bit on a laptop with the following specs:cpu: intel(r) core(tm) i3 cpu m 370 @ 2.40ghzmobo: samsung electronics co., ltd. r439 bios: phoenix securecore(tm) nb version 03us.m004.20100605.leoram: total memory 2.00 gb usable 1.93 gbhdd: toshiba m3265gsxgpu: ati mobility radeon hd 545v audio: (1) ati high definition audio device (2) realtek high definition audio s: microsoft windows 7 home basic 32-bit 7601 multiprocessor free service pack 1
I have windows 7 on my computer, I got on my xbox 360 and setup the windows media center app on it about 4 monthes ago. I didn't have many problems at first for about a month. I always used it for movies and videos. The problems started slow at first a video might lag a little bit and buffer a couple of times, but I would restart my xbox 360 and it seemed to fix the problem until the next time. Now I have gotten to the point where everytime I exit windows media center or turn off my computer or xbox, I literally have to uninstall the xbox extender everytime and reinstall just to watch movies and videos, because if I don't, I will have an error saying the xbox can't find my pc and when I get on my pc wmc and go to the extender page it shows the xbox but says and don't guote me dont know for sure but it says something like xbox available but not ready or something like that. It will also have the yellow yield sign looking deal. Anyways when I uninstall and resetup wmc for the xbox it will work again only when I go to watch my videos in the videos section it lags real bad and during the video it wont say buffering but it acts like it is.
Can anyone figure this out? Operating Windows 7 (64 bit). Adobe Flash Player was working fine couple of days ago; after a Windows update, it no longer works. Tried to reinstall Adobe Flash 11, goes through installation process, completes it, brings up box that says "you are now using Adobe Flash Player 11." However, I can't watch videos.
good morning everyone, I've been reading on a tech site that Windows 8 will not run adobe flash player, then I came to doubt, as the videos will run from the internet without this plug-in?
my computer is about a month old. i am running windows7 (64 bit) and my browser if firefox. whenever i view a Internet video, once it's over, it hangs up for about a minute. i get the message "adobe flash plugin has crashed".
