Canon IPF605 Large Format Printer And Samsung Scx 4100

I have a problem with the old printer Samsung SCX 4100, installing drivers for Windows Vista (windows 7 didn't find),and didn't work.

And the other problem with the Canon wide format printer IPF 605 drivers didnt install.

What else can be put to the test.

Operating system: Windows 7 64 bit

64 Bit Drivers For Samsung Scx-4521f
I have a shared SCX-4521f printer that I'd like to print to from a Win7 64bit workstation. I've tried the Vista and XP drivers - both 64 and 32 bit and I'm not allowed to install either. I've also tried the universal samsung print driver to no avail.

Network Printer - HP LaserJet 4100 Printer Driver Issue
I have successfully installed a HP network printer on two W7 64 bit clients that I have running in a test environment.

There is one other HP network printer that is giving me problems.

It is a Laserjet 4100 N model.

I got the 64 bit Vista universal driver off the HP website.

Add a Printer
Network Printer
Select HP4100 from the list of available printers.
.. Looking for Driver   " No Driver Found"
Browse to folder where drivers were extracted to.
OK
then error "Windows cannot locate a suitable driver"

Any suggestions?

I used the same procedure for another laserjet printer from HP. That particular driver was device specific and it worked like a charm.

HP 4100 Printer
I have just installed the Windows 7 RC on my old pentium computer 2.6GHz 2.5GB RAM. It went without a hitch I might add.

I have a HP4100DTN laser printer attached to the parallel port.

The windows 7 RC picked up the driver for it no problem.

I have noticed one thing though, when configuring the printer for Double Sided printing and the number of paper trays etc that

the smallest amount of RAM that the Windows 7 RC driver for this printer can be set to is 96MB RAM

These printers came with a minimum of 16MB all the way to to 256MB RAM (Maybe More)

My printer has 64MB RAM installed but this cannot be selected with the current Windows 7 RC driver.

Canon X64 Printer Drivers For Older Canon Printers
Vista x64 natively supported a bunch of canon printers with x64 drivers. For some printers this support has gone under Windows 7 x64. Perhaps this will help some people ... .

I mounted a Vista x64 ISO-image/source, extracted the folder with the canon printer drivers and installed the Colorpass Z40e driver under Windows 7 x64. In my case I used this driver für a Canon Colorpass Z400e (Canon CLC 1100).

Extraxct :

- use 7zip

- under options check "wim"

- open the install.wim an verify your vista version (important if there is a 64bit and 32 bit version on the same DVD, in my case there was only a 64bit on the systembuilder DVD)

- choose the right folder and extract the canon printer driver folder with 7zip

windowssystem32driverstorefilerepositoryprnca001.inf_c505b61f

that is it .

Canon S9000 Printer
Has anyone gotten the 64 bit version of Windows 7 to work with the Canon S9000 printer? There is a add-on driver for 64 bit, but it needs the "regular" driver to be loaded first and I cannot seem to get it to install - it dies at 60% every time.

however, can't print cd / dvd with 1.4.1 software - says no compatible device found, even though the printer is installed as default?

any suggestions as to a workaround, or alternative dvd / cd printing software?

Samsung Ml-2510 Printer Driver
I have a Samsung ML-2510 that I recently purchased and I can not get it to work with Windows 7.  I have tried the xp driver and the Vista driver running in vista compatibility mode as an administrator and have had no success.  The reason I bought this printer was because my older hp deskjet 3745 would not work with Windows 7 and it had no vista driver so I ran it in compatibility mode and it also did not work.  Both these printers work fine in xp mode.  I would like help with the samsung primarily but also with the hp.

Samsung Laser Printer - ML-1740
I really like Windows 7 so far.  MUCH more stable than Vista on my HP Laptop.  Everything has worked thus far with the exception of my Samsung Laser Printer installation.  Upon running the setup, I get an error stating that this version of Windows is not supported.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Samsung ML-2510 Printer Problem
I tried searching this before couldn't find a thread with the issue I have...

1) Windows 7 64bit has a Samsung ML-2510 USB printer installed

2) I shared the printer in Windows 7

3) x64 drivers are installed but could not installed x86 drivers. It keeps saying the driver is not for the processor architecture (using the driver I used for WinXp)

4) In Advanced Sharing Options, I enabled Sharing and disabled password. I only have one account with no password, on Win 7 Machine.

5) Windows Xp laptop is a work machine and part of a domain, so I can NOT change the workgroup to "Workgroup"

6) Tried installing the printer using Win7MachineSamsung command in Winxp run dialog

7) Printer windows opens up showing "Initializing" and then get 'ready'

8) NOTHING happens when I try to print a test page.

Is there a way I can use the printer? I used to be able to print without any problem, when I was on XP.

Driver For Canon IP2600 Printer
I am running Windows 7 Pro x64. It detected up my Canon iP2600 printer and installed a Microsoft generic driver, but color photo prints are bad. So I went to Canon's web site, downloaded the Windows 7 x64 driver and ran the installer. It appears to have installed OK, but I wanted to verify the driver source and version.

To my surprise, when I opened the Properties sheet of the printer, I did not find the usual dialog box giving the option to update the printer, rollback, etc. I've looked in Device Manager, Devices and Printers, etc and do not see a dialog box for managing printer drivers.

Generally speaking, how does one install a new printer driver, or roll back to a previous driver?

Canon IP8500 Printer Drivers
I'm using Win7 RC x64 to host my Canon iP8500 printer, I'd like to share this printer with my WinXP x86 machine.  As the Win7 iP8500 x64 driver is installed automatically, how can I add the x86 driver to the Win7 installation?  If I go to Printer Properties... -> Sharing tab -> Additional Drivers... -> Click the x86 driver -> Click OK -> it asks for the install files...

Okay - I went to the Canon website, they say that from Vista onwards the drivers are pre-packaged with Windows.  I've searched all over the local machine and Win7 RC x86 install CD for x86 drivers, but come up empty handed.  Can we download them from Windows Update or something?

Canon MF3110 Printer Not Working
I can't seem to get my printer working for my recently updated W7.  I looked at the compatibility center for Vista, and it said I was fine on that.  It said in some cases I might need a Canon driver, which I got.  But, after getting it, it still doesn't work.  It installs the printing drivers, but doesn't install the actual printer drivers - with or without third party software.

Canon IP4600 Printer Problem
TRied installing a network printer and USB printer, but 7 Ultimate reports that both are offline, even though they are not.7 found and auto-installed both, done the windows updates, downloaded drivers from mnufacturers websites, stopped and started print spooler - basically everything that everyone else has tried without success.

Funny thing is, the Canon IP4600 that i am connecting to wirelessly is througha Belkin USB hub, which reports that the laptop is requesting and connecting successfully.Number one son running same version of 7 on an older laptop and all is ok - checked all the usual settings.

Canon Ip1500 Printer Compatibility
I got Windows 7 pro especially for the virtual XP mode, since the docs say that usb connected devices can be used; however only my usb hard drive appears in XP mode. Specifically, I need XP to see my Canon LIDE 80 scanner, which worked great in XP but was useless in Vista. I also have a Canon ip1500 printer, which does work great in windows 7, but virtual XP doesn't see that either.

I tried automatically installing a printer after trying to print a page, XP says it can't find any.  Anyway it's the scanner I need; haven't tried a few other xp only usb devices I will also need.
