Cannot Open Mouse Settings
When I go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon, it would not open and nothing happens. I tried accessing from Start>>Search and click on Mouse Settings and it would not open too. Anyone with the same experience? Can someone help me with this problem?

Cannot Access The Mouse Settings
I have been trying to access my mouse settings to change the speed of my mouse and the touch sensitivity and every time i go to start > control panel > mouse and try to click on it nothing happens.So i did a little test to see if its actually trying to load the file or not and i open task manager and click on the mouse setting and i saw some processes opening and after about 2 sec it disappears so i guess the files are trying to load but it being intercepted by something or i could be completely wrong.After that i run my laptop on safe mode to see if i can access my mouse settings and no luck there because the mouse setting i was looking for wasn't there to begin with. i guess that's because of the safe mode that limits the files and driver and only allows necessary ones run. laptops specs: OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium System Model - HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 460 @ 2.53GHz, 2534 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) RAM - 8.00GB

Any Way To Get All Mouse Settings Back To Way They Were When Installed Windows
So today i installed the drivers for my razer deathaddder mouse on my laptop. The installation went fine, but the problem is it seems to have taken over or just messed up the configuration for my touchpad. After installing, the touchpad moved really slowly even though i hadn't changed any settings, and the acceleration had turned off.I decided to uninstall the drivers to reverse the problem, but it didn't change. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad drivers (latest synaptics drivers, same ones i had installed before), but this didn't solve anything either. I've tried fiddling around with the mouse settings but everything is configured the way it was before, it's just not the same.I want my touchpad to go back to the way it was. Is there any way to get all the mouse settings back to the way they were when i installed windows or something like that?

Changing UltraNav Settings While A Mouse Is Connected
I also wanted a real mouse, so I got a Microsoft wireless mouse (USB). Now, I mouse right handed since I am more used to it, so while the IntelliPoint software was installing, I changed the mouse settings back to default. I figured I would just go and change the settings whenever I didn't want to use the mouse. But when the software finished installing, I found that the Control Panel Mouse window changed! Now, even when the mouse is unplugged, the place where I had been able to change the button settings is a new window that is specific for this mouse! Plus, these changes don't affect the UltraNav, so those buttons are still set for right-handed. How do I change the UltraNav button settings?

Won't Save Mouse Settings After Restart
I have an HP pavilion DV8 laptop, and a logitech wireless USB mouse, as well as the standard laptop touch pad. So, I can change my mouse settings in the control panel, as well as my logitech app, and as it stands they intermix slightly (The control panel effects the logitech app's sensitivity). Basically I turn my control panel speed settings up (all the way, I shouldn't have to touch the touchpad 5 times to navigate across the screen), and on the logitech app I turn the sensitivity down most of the way (any faster and its a bit squirrely to use). The problem is, whenever I restart my computer the control panel mouse settings revert back to being REALLY slow, and it is getting a bit annoying to have to go into the control panel every time I start up.

How To Restore Original Open With Settings
I accidently changed all of my my icon settings to Adobe Programs. So when ever i try opening say 'Google chrome' icon, it 'opens with' an Adobe program page. So how do i change the icons back to their original settings? so one they have their original icon (the google chrome icon instead of the Adobe icon) and they open in their original program.

Current Security Settings Not Allowing To Open
I ran Combofix without any problems and removed multiple items.I started my McAfee to run behind it this morning and it ran extremely slow.I ended up stopping it and attempted to go back to run combofix again tonight and even tried a few other downloads.I keep getting a message that my current security settings will not allow.I have already did a temporary shut down of McAfee to make sure that it was not interferring.I know that I still have atleast some sort of problem because the google search is still acting up.

Remember View Settings For File - Open - Desktop?
All of my view settings seem to stick fine, except when I choose File - Open Desktop in some application. Then it's Tiles view instead of my Details view, as saved for every other folder. in 7 x64I already tried resetting Folder view otions as per Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders

Restored Laptop To Factory Settings Cant Open Downloaded Files?
having a total nightmare with my laptop, Ive had it for about a year and for some reason whenever I tried to download files/applications it would come up "curupt file", after a very long time trying to look for answers, i decided to save all my files and I used system restore and wiped everything off my laptop and restored the laptop to "factory settings".After doing this I tried to download firefox and then "invalid digital signature" poped up underneath the download, so i ran the file anyway and "curupt file" appeared.I tried downloading google chrome and the same thing happend, its happens to everything now that i try and download seems what I can do, also I was toled to try and download mulwarebytes, but everytime i try and download it the same things happens.

Can't Open Folders Or Files With My Mouse Anymore
I just installed MS Office 2007 on an HP notebook running Win 7 Home Premium. Since sitting through all of the Windows updates to both OS and Office, I can no longer open folders or files with my mouse unless I right click and choose OPEN. I get an error message saying there is no program associated with that task and suggesting that I create an association. Great if you happen to know which Win 7 program is responsible for opening files and folders.

Desktop Icons Won't Open With Mouse
i run winows 7 and when i log in i can open the desktop icons for a while but then they stop working and the mouse wont open them or right click on them and neither can i right click on the open desktop as nothing happens.ive tried a system restore no good. when i restart hte computer its ok for a few minutes then the same problem again.

I am using an HP Targus HD compliant mouse, but my touch pad (Synaptics V7.0 Touch Pad on PS2 port) is clearly the default pointer and if I try to remove it, I am left with no pointing devices at all! I have tried changing the USB connections for the mouse, but to no avail

Mouse Won't Double Click To Open Programs
Have had new computer for a few months. Mouse worked fine until a few days ago. Will open some things by "double click" and some things I have to right click and open. I installed a new mouse and have same problems. Haven't changed anything or installed any new hardware or software recently.

Mouse Moves But Randomly Wont Open Programs / Applications
I am having the weirdest problem with my computer. randomly my mouse will just stop opening programs/applications, i cannot click on anything in the taskbar etc. I have also tried a different mouse... & reformatted my computer back to the bare basics, reinstalled all the drivers to no avail. one minute i am playing BF3 fine or doing something else and down it goes... the only thing i can then do is reboot my system and go again.

Mouse Freezes, Followed By System Lag And Mouse Icon Turns Fuzzy Pics?
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag

Annoying Mouse Lag - Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500
Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.
