Ever since received my new laptop comes with default Windows 7 Pro 32bit, I realised got this issue been laying in my unit. During initial start-up, the browser will looks normal and fit to screen. However after a while, it shrink to a size which I can't adjust it to the max full height on my screen. The brown area on top is my desktop background and the area coverage from my browser is already max from what you can see. I can't seems to be able to drag it and cover the the brown area to make it fully fit my screen. It doesn't only affect my browser but to the rest of my
Just updated from Vista 64 to Windows7 64 build7100 .
Using DellWFP 32" monitor and ATI v7200 video card.
My desktop will not extend all the way left to right or top to bottom on my monitor.
It has black bar around desktop extending to edges of monitor.
When I set screen resolution to max 2560x1280 or recommended 1280x800 , then desktop goes full height and width of monitor. However these settings do not work for me at all.
Any other resolution setting and desktop is centered on monitor, very small with black all around it.
Here is image I took with my camera, as a screen shot only displays the desktop. This shows how the desktop is residing within the monitor. I've tried every resolution setting there is for this video card , checked to make sure I had the latest drivers also.
When I opened my browser it was not on full screen. I usually just hit the maximize button to return it to it's original full screen size but now everything on the right side and bottom of my browser is hidden.
Upon opening the first browser window it opens to full-screen. Subsequent new browser windows open in the lower-right corner at 25% screen size.Q: is there a way to have every subsequent (i.e., after the first one) browser window open at full-screen size?
I have 2 Samsung SyncMaster 2243 monitors running off of a ATI Radeon 4670 graphics card.
I have downloaded some wallpapers that are wide enough to cover both monitors (large panoramas atc). But it just displays whatever will fit on my main monitor and duplicates it on the secondary monitor (This is only the case with my wallpapers, not the rest of the desktop: shortcuts, start menu etc.). I'm sure this is just a user error on my part.
edit: If I choose the "tile" option. It will ALMOST do what I want. The picture will extend across both monitors, but if it is not quite long enough/tall enough it will start the tiling.
For a normal tower computer without super duty fan has anyone ever bothered to determine at what ~ height off a carpeted floor will the fan suck significantly less carpet dust into the machine?
This tutorial will show you how to increase or decrease the height of the Start Menu in Windows 7 without displaying recently opened programs and without displaying sub-menus. Many users would like to change the height of the Start Menu in Windows 7. There are many reasons for why a user would want this. My personal reason is so that all the programs in the All Programs list of the Start Menu will display without my having to scroll up and down the list. The problem is that the Start Menu is dynamic and, it would seem, cannot be manually sized. Two existing methods of changing the height of the Start Menu are to 1) display recently opened programs; and 2) display the sub-menus that appear on the right side of the Start Menu, such as Documents, Downloads, and Games. However, for those who would rather not display recently opened programs and not have some useless sub-menus displayed, a third, more flexible way exists, and this tutorial will cover that method.
I typed some text. And I want to erase some of that text using the Backspace key. I press it. But it only deletes 1 character before I have to press it again. And so I'm in the process of pressing the backspace key multiple times before I get rid of one word. I want that to be resolved. How can I change (return) to the way where holding down my finger on the key will do the operation multiple times.
P.S. I'm not sure if this is already included i the my footnote or not. But I'm on an Asus G73jh, I've been exposed to some well-known issues on the G73, but this keyboard problem hasn't been one of them.
My computer has been running slow for months, but it is now getting to the point where it is almost unbearable. For example, just clicking on a folder to open it can take up to 15 seconds to respond. It also lags a ton during internet browsing.
I have FF 17. The mouse is freezing in facebook & I find the only escape to release the browser is reboot. The same FB page works fine in internet explorer.
I have discovered a frustrating problem when i attempt to customise my desktop background. While i have had no problems selecting the desired images or an problems with the slideshow itself i an unable to alter the picture position, meaning that the picture position is permanently on stretch which distorted the pictures. I select Centre from the drop down bar and then save the changes but it makes no difference, the pictures remain stretched and when i re-open the Desktop Background menu the Picture Position has reverted to Stretch
Windows 7 (or maybe my new laptop?) is giving me lots of trouble when I try to stretch a window. There are two problems:
1 - Sometimes when I grab an edge I end up moving the whole window. I believe in earlier Windows versions you had to click on the top section of the window to drag it. Grabbing an edge always resulted in stretching. What is the magic touch that distinguishes grabbing to stretch from grabbing to move?
2 - Often I can't grab the edge at all. I hover over it and get the familiar two-ended arrow, but when I click, it just goes away... back to the regular mouse pointer icon. What is the magic touch to actually grab the edge once you get the two headed arrow?
The definetion of an EXPERT was "anyone more than 25 miles from home" not sure about that.If memory serves me I used to be able to open more than one copy of the Microsoft IE Browser, however am unable to do that now. Am I imagining thing that I did that before or is there a problem with that?
How can I make my Browser (firefox) appear always on top ? For example I am doing a tutorial and need to keep the browser window open as I follow along in the tutorial.
At the moment I run:- Google Chrome: because it does seem to be the most efficient, but it doesn't handle RSS feeds very well (Foxish works OK, but I also run X-marks and there is a clash which causes Foxish settings to be changed). Firefox: Mainly because I have lots of RSS feeds, but it is resource intensive. IE9: Because I enjoy playing some games on the MSN Zone and have found that tools like Chrome's IE Tab don't cover everything.
im using Chrome and mozilla....mostly chrome though, however i have lost sound on both browsers. I have sound on other applications just not the browsers. I noticed shortly after i ran malware and ccleaner
I bought a new system, with a new HDD,but i started to experience a problem with the browser(any browser).Everytime,i open my internet browser, all other programs stop responding. However, the browser works fine, and unless i exit it,i cannot click on anywhere else but the browser or my computer hangs and everything stops responding, even the task manager. This problem occurs in google chrome as well as internet explorer,so i doubt it is a browser problem.I have never experienced such a problem with any system i have used so far,nor have i seen anyone experiencing it,so i am really confused as to what might be causing this.
I don't know if this is the right section to post this but can not find one that looks like it suites my problem.I downloaded a free font the other day and with it came this incredibar search bar it overrides my google search engine and any other one I want to use. I have gone online and searched and have came up with many ways people say they have gotten rid on it but none of there solutions have worked for m I read that it is malware and you should not leave it on your machine. I have ran my AVG and it does not detect it. I have deleted it from the all programs and done many things in the settings and set google as my default but to no avail it still comes up.
I have Windows 7. I am using IE 8. My browser will stop working. I do a restart and it will work good for awhile. Then I have do do the same thing about every 5 Min.
