If I try to grab text in a website window and move the mouse down while keeping the mouse Left button depress, the window will not scroll upward. I have to manually press the down arrow key to continue my text grab or selection. Can this be reversed?
Ok this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.
I have a project where I need to search a large amount of text files on my home PC. I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. My research indicated this feature was available in Windows 7.
If you do a search in Windows XP, you get a bunch of fields. You can pick to search for text INSIDE the particular sub folder structure.
I have found this feature in Windows 7, but it is different. I have tried using wild cards but it does not seem to work properly.
All of the sudden, when I want to copy and paste something in the same document, the formatted text (whether that be a certain font or bold) does not transfer over to the pasted text. For instance, if I wanted to copy the following bolded word word and then paste it anywhere else in the document, I now get this: word (without the bold). This applies to other cutting and pasting problems: this applies to other fonts and formatting (bold, my Greek font, etc). One more example: before today, if I wanted to cut a text out of my New Testament Greek program right in the middle of a paragraph, the Greek font (or whatever font) would paste normally no matter what font the target MS Word text was in.
I could hold down the Fn key, a large black bar with symbols in it would drop down from the top edge of the screen, I never paid much attention to what was in that, but then I would hit the Prtsc button. Then when I pasted it into Paint, it was ONLY the active window. Now when I hit the Fn key, the black bar does not drop down and when I hit the Prtsc button the entire screen is copied, not just the active window. I really want this ability back. Any ideas on how to get it to function againmorlaine morlaine has chosen the best answer to his/her question.Click here to view the answer that was selected.

I'm wondering if there are any Video capture devices (I want to convert old VHS movies to DVD)that will work PROPERLY with Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit version).I see several devices out there that claim to, but after following up...it seems they are having trouble with them...example: Sabrent USB video capture?
like the title states i keep hearing about how i need a video capture card to make machinimas from game play i record from my xbox 360, however i havent a clue how i go about looking for this or if it is even necessary for windows 7 os laptops (i dont have desktop) so any and all info would help, from what i already found out there are 2 types USB and internal hardware inserts and installations available but the rest is a mystery to me so if anyone has information on this i could use it for sure.
I want to capture screen flow in video or image on windows 7 64 bits system, with NVidia Quadro 600 graphic card (driver is up to date). I use lib vlc for video capture, or "print screen" button for image capture. When I try to capture a fullscreen opengl application, or a QML application, or WPF application, the captured image is black. It seems that graphic card content can't be acquired. It is the same for each computer which is under windows 7. This manipulation worked on windows XP.
Question: What are the changes on screen capturing between windows XP and windows 7? Is there any option to activate in system? Is there any software which could work (with an API)?
Screen Hunter is a screen capture application (freeware) that works off mouse click or hot key, you can edit the capture before saving captures are Rectangular Sizable, Active Window Full Screen, and has a timer delay (great for capturing drop downs etc). The quality of the capture is perfect, I have been using Screen Hunter for years on Windows XP, Vista and now Windows 7, if your looking for an easy to use free capture application that will give you perfect results try Screen Hunter.
i usually record PC games using fraps and it got me thinking to how do people record console footage and then put it on the computer. The problem is i dont know the first thing about gaming capture cards and how they work, i do know however that some of them are PCI cards.
1. if a console is connected to a T.V how is the footage captured from the console to a PC?
2. Does using capture cards also provide audio or do you need certain cables (3.5 jacks, hdmis, etc)
I've got a Dell laptop that has to be returned for a refund and I was wondering how to transfer my bookmarks over to a thumbdrive? I want to have them ready so I can put them on my new laptop when I decide what I'm getting.
I am curious, Mac's have a feature I saw someone at work use where you can capture a screen shot by dragging out a square (I think they used Cmd+Shift+4 or something) and saving the image inside the square as a capture - Does Windows 7 have anything like that? Or is there an app I can download to allow me to do that?
Looking for suggestions. Would be great if the program was FREE !I'm using a Diamond VC 600. The included program seems very rough.although quite a few formats are available. The end product is less than I expected
I upgraded from XP to 7 about a year or so ago, and just noticed that the few home DV videos I captured since then were in AVI format, and about 12 GB each, compared to the former ones on XP which were WMV and not quite 1GB each. I have tried in vain to set the automatic capture on Windows Movie Maker to WMV as default, but it doesn't seem to allow it. These AVI files are just too big for my storage space over time.
