my office 2003 will not load on my asus laptop running windows 7 home premium.claims the key is not correct. i have loaded the same office 2003 disc on my other computer running xp. the key is not miss-typed and is valid.

My old MS Office 2003 student edition wont load in windows 7 on new HP laptop. It loaded fine on my old HP laptop with XP pro, and my newer HP desktop with Vista.

These were lost during the upgrade but are on my laptop, which still runs Office 2003, as .dot type files and I also have them copied to a memory stick. However, I am at a loss as to how and where to save them into the new programme on my desktop PC. If it makes a difference, I should add that I do not use Libraries and have disabled them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy computer ended up with the malicious toolbar iminent. After multiple attempts to remove it I decided to reformat the computer, since my last backup is mercifully recent. However, when I attempted to run a repair disc, but in the middle of this I received the message in the thread's title. What's wrong? Is the repair disc something other than the disc I need? While writing this via my phone I'm currently trying an alternative of restoring my computer from a system image on my backup drive, I don't know if that will solve the problem. But even if it does, I think I should still try to find out what went wrong here for when something goes wrong in the future.

This time I got a message about no log file found so I tried again with a /L on the end of the command line. This time it started fine and then threw up an error 1711. run Office 2003 on Windows 7? View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have our Server running Windows Server 2003. We have 2 other desktop computers running XP and a laptop also running XP connected. We replaced one of the XP computers with a brand new Windows 7 computer. I am connected to the LAN just fine and when you click on "get online," it's says that there's a working connection but when I try to load ANY page I get the "page cannot load" error. Yesterday, the issue was intermittent but today I have been unable to get online at all. I've tried restarting the server and the new computer as well as the router. I've also tried disabling and enabling the LAN. I also tried a "repair winsock" option I found on the forums. All other computers running through the server are working fine so I know it's not the ISP. We didn't change the router so I know it can handle the number of computers we have.

I finally printed it then scanned it and saved it as a PDF file ant then I could send it. I sure wish I could figure this out. I may need a 2003 service pack installed as I do not have it. I am trying hard to save the money that a newer office program costs.

I prove with other compatibility options and nothing...I´ve got 2 virtual machines running in Windows 7- 32 bits. They have Office 2010 packet and Frontpage 2003. In one machine i could upload archives to frontpage but i can´t save that archive in FP in that moment, i must save it in another site and later upload at FP again. That is a little problem comparing the problem that i have with the other machine.With the other machine when i try to upload any kind of archive to FP the error is "the server was closed inexperately".
