keep getting Atbroker.exe popup error after logging in. hit ok and then get black screen. have to hard shut down. Any help? I am not using RDP as noted in many searches. ctl + alt+ delete or end does nothing because windows hasn't fully loaded by the time I get the popup

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter restarting Windows 7 it gets to the login screen (the one that says "Windows 7" at the bottom) that is supposed to show the available profiles. But no profiles are shown. After about 30 seconds an error message pops up that appears to be in the "Wingdings" or some similar font. It's gibberish. I can't find any info on this anywhere.I was able to get into a command prompt by booting to the repair console thing from the Windows disc. Startup repair did nothing. I tried the fix mbr, rebuild bcd, and fix boot commands and they didn't help. I actually started getting a black screen at bootup that saied winload.exe cannot be verified. I seem to have "fixed" that but now am back at this error message. It's the oddest thing I've ever seen.It does the same with "safe mode" (minus the error message) and even with "last know good...". the cursors stays on screen and can be moved, plus every few seconds the screen flashes black very quickly. Does the error message look familiar to anyone (except for the font used of course). Note that going into the repair disc and using start-up repair did nothing.

I confirmed I am using the correct username and password (CAPS is off). I found I am able to log in after selecting 'switch user' and then attempting to log in again, so I believe Windows is getting confused. The PC is on a domain so I cannot turn off the option for it to prompt for a password, and I do not wish to turn off the option for sleep mode in order to save power.

It happens everytime I turn on my computer, two black screen flashes at the login screen and another black flash in the main menu screen right after logging in.

I have an RDP Server on a windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and i would like to be able to use another system login screen to connect to this server. As in when i turn of display last local users, so that if i was to enter XXX into the username and XXX into the password and it will connect Although i wouldnt mind being able to set up roaming profiles between these systems either.

Recently however, the mouse would work at the login screen, but after I would login, it would stop working. Its drivers are up-to-date. It seems as though something changed recently that disables it after login, and if I reconnect it I sometimes get Error Code 43, and it says it is not recognized, then again, sometimes it will work flawlessly, until i put my computer to sleep.

I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.

I can sign-in to Google email & calender etc with no problem. But from there, cannot link by clicking on the "photo" drop down. I can't even get to the Picasa web log-in page. This had been working fine a few weeks ago.I can get to it ok from another pc Chrome browser.

I dual booted it with XP so I can go on the XP Admin account and get all my stuff back so thats not a problem.
after booting, I get a black screen. There is no way for me to login. I tried to login Safe Mode but after I cannot enter the password as the keys in the keyboard are not working and then it restarted to Normal OS and same problem happens.

If the computer is shut down via a 5 second power-button press, the password prompt appears the next time the computer is turned on after the "start widows normally" dos screen. I had an older image of the os on a harddrive (replaced HD with solid state) that I used to "restore" from. The issue happened again some 6 days later. I can not keep restoring/backing up all the time as it is very time consuming (there is a lot of changing data on this computer and having to back up like this all the time is not a realistic solution).

This morning I booted and waited for the windows is configuring 77k items!!! View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed a new motherboard, ram and graphics card yesterday. Installed all the drivers and everything was working fine. Got up today turned pc on freezes just after I enter my login password (i had not touched with the PC in between). I run it in safe mode, runs for 2-5 minutes then freezes. I flashed the CMOS to see if resetting the bios would work, it works to let me log in and then 2 mins later freezes just the same. Hard restart after this then turn the PC back on freezes at the login screen again. It has on occasion frozen before the login screen, ie when it shows the motherboard company logo.

I tried to use the password reset option but it asked me for a password recovery floppy. Only problem is I never made a password to begin with, let alone this recovery floppy. I have tried logging into the administrator password but it is not a blank password and nothing I have put in works. I have also tried switching user but there is no other user. I have tried restoring the computer but it states that I need to have administrator clearance to restore. I have the windows 7 disk but I am unsure how to activate it. My father has not made a password restore disk and when I tried to follow the instructions of saving the password on a usb or a disk, it did not work because I did not have the password disk.

It is also causing two Windows 7 to appear at the start up...I am hearing people tell me to download recovery tools, but I have no idea how to do this as the only computer I have currently is my father's computer, which I cannot get onto the internet! (I am typing from an ipod). How do I download ISOs and recovery files when I cannot access the internet?
