I'm trying to paste an MS Word Document in Windows 7 with a Page Border into Outlook and the Border disappears. I've tried Googling and nobody seems to have this problem. I've tried Control A to Copy Text Control C to Copy All & Control V to Paste & the Border disappears. The recipient is requesting a Word Document as opposed to putting it in Notepad.

I think it's ridiculous.) but I figured it was worth a shot. The title is pretty self-explanatory...I just need to know how to paste this certain executive file I copied into the System 32 panel. Let's hope this works so I can finally download Skype without the constant inquiring of my dad's admin password!
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I select multiple photos from either a separate location on my hard drive or from my iPhone and paste them into a folder on my Hard drive, Windows will copy them and then just stop so I have to click Paste and check Do This For the Next * Conflicts and select Don't Copy and it will copy a few more photos.

I copied a cell number from a Facebook conversation and tried to paste it to a record in my WLM contacts. No Dice. It seems to accept pastes into most of the other fields but phone #s, email addresses and websites are not allowed.
Does anyone know if this is some kind of security setting? I poked around in the WLM options and couldn't find anything.
I have a 128b SSD with everything on it. I also have a blank 160gb hard drive that i would like to use for a lot of programs that won't benefit from SSD speed. However, when i try to take things like "Windows Portable Devices" or "Windows Sidebar" from the program files and paste it into the Hard drive, i get a message saying "you need permission to perform this action"

Yesterday I was trying to boot my computer in safe mode and when I turn on computer in normal mode, it showed a black border around the screen. I tried to check my setting(resolution and graphic card setting but still, the problem exists) My resolution is 1366 by 768 which is the native resolution and my graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. The border is about 1cm think, it is around the whole screen and my screen size is 14.1inch.

When I cut and paste image files into different folders, it does copy everything but for some reason, a few tmp files are being created as well. Every time I copy stuff, I have to delete about 5-6 of them.Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? It's started in the past few months and I've been hoping it would stop but it hasn't.

I have a couple and alternate them each time I do a backup, so if the one disk fails, I always have at least the penultimate backup. When I build a new system, I just copy and paste again. Now here is my problem, when I set up a new system all my dates, except for "photo date taken" all reset to the current date. I have tried all the date options from the View menu but none show the date created. How can I preserve my dates? And is there a way to prevent this from happening again? System Window 7 64BIT Pro.

Mine are only on the far right and far left, no middle as it seems logical if you have 2 monitors you might want to have 50% coved with one window and have the 2nd 50% with another window, then you could full screen a 3rd window or just have 2 more halves. but the current way it works is 2 halves then a big empty space in the middle or 2 full screens.
I love the easy and quick way to organize/resize the windows but its very inconvenient to do this manually for half of the screen.
I have been encountering a problem with a small netbook which has a 1024 x 600 screen resolution. The problem is that the window of some application is un-resizable ( I've also tried to download a small registery hack which makes it possible to resize un-resizable windows, but it seems like it won't work with that one)So, as you know, it is possible to partially hide a window on the left, right and bottom borders of the screen, but it is impossible on the top border, where the window would just go down again (while it can't be maximized though ).Is there any way to make it possible to hide a part of the windows over the top border so I can see the bottom of the window ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried Linux yesterday, and wrote over my previous Windows bootloader files with GRUB.
I later that day (as I could not boot into Windows 7), I deleted the Linux partitions with Windows 7 DVD. Now, after BIOS I just get a white blinking border on a black screen.

I also tried the "automatic" systemrepair (1st choice in the DVD menu, with no luck)
After doing a copy and paste, we have, on 3 occasions so far, found the copied data in an entirely different file. Twice data from a copy appeared in an excel spreadsheet and once a picture copied in facebook appeared in an email. The excel problem is very worrysome as it is our family budget. how this could happen? In the case of the excel events no paste operation was intentionally done.

View 2 Replies View Relatedfor the past month i have had an issue where before the log in screen would show, it would be a blank screen with a cursor, that i could move. (It worked normal in safe mode) I normally would just ignore this problem and it seemed to go back to normal after a little while. Well yesterday it didn't go away, so i went online looking for a solution, in safe mode. I've read to disable/enable drivers, re-install drivers, just plenty of things. And the result of all this is that my screen resolution wont go back to normal, and there is a black border around my screen, around a half inch. Also, my computer has been running EXTREME slow lately.

In outlook 2003 I have some contacts which I added manually to address book so there should be an address book of some sort.

I should have imported them into Outlook before I made the "Easy File Transfer" to the new Win 7 machine, but didn't know I needed to do that. Several years ago I had imported the files into Outlook, although that data did transfer it is now way out-of-date and full of duplicates.The up-to-date data is still in my old machine and also in an external hard drive backup. I have isolated the Outlook Express personal folders into .dbx format and the addresses into .wab format.Is there a way this can be reformatted into Outlook? Or is there some other way? I would probably also need to delete what is already in Outlook first, or I would have many more duplicates.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to move one pst file from one laptop which has Outlook 2010 32 bit to another laptop which has Outlook 2010 64 bit installed, steps taken 1) Copied the pst file from the User/AppData/Microsoft/Outlook folder to usb. 2) Pasted the file from usb into User/Documents folder. 3) Tried to open the file in Outlook and I get the error that Outlook encountered errors while opening the file. Now how is that possible when the file is working perfectly in one laptop but when I copy and paste it into another it gets corrupted? Is it due to 32 bit to 64 bit outlook? I tried to repair it using scanpst and it brought back few mails?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI do not have the new laptop on, it is an expensive paper weight at the moment. None of my XP software works. I loaded MS XP Mode, I was able to load Office 2000, neither Outlook or outlook express work and I dispise MS Mail and all web based mail. None of my CAD programs worked in XP mode. Note: Acer does not have the hardware support. I removed MS XP Mode. Loaded VMware Player with XP Pro,loaded all my programs, copied my old HDD to new files in virtual machine. Setup Office 2000 Outlook and outlook express work perfect as does all office 2000. Cad programs work (or so I thought) I wasted 3 hours designing a generator room in one of my cad programs and all was well till I tried to create a new file on the virtual drive and was unable to. Tried to save my drawing to any file, was not allowed.
Spent the rest of the day re-drawing the generator room on old laptop. Tried all of the things on setting up networking the drives and folders, was still unable to create new file folders or save any new cad files. There is nothing wrong with this old laptop, it is just 6 years old and found a great deal on the Acer. Tried to load XP on a new HDD, that failed (somewhat) after loading and looking at the properties, many drivers were not working. It seems all MFG's are looking to MS to develop their drivers.What else can I try to get XP Mode to work like XPI can not afford to upgrade all my programs and with that, none of my old files would be usable.I use several cad programs daily at the same time as I work on several projects at the same time, plus I do all my own quotes and PO's and send to vendors, plus receive in everything. I have to be able to create new files and save everything I do where I want toThis is also the first time I have used a new OS so soon. I usually give it a few years.I went from 95 2nd Ed to XP all was smooth. Stayed away from ME and Vista like the plague
When I loaded Office '07 after Windows 7 install, all works fine except when I start Outlook, an error message as follows, pops up:
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window."

whatever i try to do on my outlook that has to do with .PST file management results in a crash where outlook quitsif i go to control panel > mail settings > data files 2 of the files that are in use (& work) do not show up, one of them the default mail delivery .PST. in these two, trying to access the advanced properties gives an error:The operation failed. An object could not be found.now - general googling tells me that recreating the profile could perhaps fix this - but i would love to avoid that as there's no manageable UI to set up the email accounts and there's many in use.event log on trying to open a pre-existing .PST that's not in the current profile:

I have a new Dell Inspiron 14Z running windows 7 pro 64bit and i'm using Microsoft office 2010. I'm trying to retrieve archived emails that i backed up on an external hard drive from a previous computer, the files are .pst which is an outlook format but i keep on getting an error message saying the file is not an Outlook data file (.pst). i dont have any other way to retrieve these emails since they were deleted from the server and its about 1.5 years of work emails. Not sure what to do? should i move the files from the external driver to a different location on the computer and open them, or are they corrupted and need to be fixed?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an old XP laptop which I was using Outlook Express for one of my mail accounts (a work account). I also ran regular Outlook for another (personal). I want to have both of these accounts on my new PC.
My new PC is running Windows 7 wiht Office 2007. I used the Windows transfer cable and things worked failry well. My regular Outlook files all came over well, but nothing for Outlook Express.
I really would like to take this time to somehow export my OE files into my Outlook 2007. I would really like to keep the account which imported in on Outlook seperate.
Question 1: Is there a way to import my OE files into Outlook 2007?
Question 2: Is there a way to have two seperate email accounts in Outlook without combining them? Basically I want to have a work email and a personal and keep them seperate.
If I can't have two seperate emails with Outlook, can anyone suggest something which would allow me to export my old Outlook (the old personal emails) into another program so that I can at least use my work email on Outlook 2007?
