Everytime i try and open a program i get a bad image error...i.e. chrome.exe- Bad Image C:ProgramDataapi-ms-win-core-memory-[1-1-032.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.I have windows 7?
View 1 RepliesMy girlfriend recently lent me her laptop (Windows 7 32bit) it was still using IE so when I go to install chrome the built in 'security program' (Windows 7 internet security 2011 or something like that) tells me that chrome is a threat and wont let me use it.. Now after finding out that Windows 7 internet security 2011 is a joke and just wants my money I run spybot search and destroy, it finds plenty of viruses and such like which are all removed.Now I have the strange problem...When I try to run any program or file the 'open this file with' window comes up. With some programs I can browse the program files and locate the program, select open with (I can't select 'always use the selected program') and away we go, but with others it simply doesn't open or will open the program in the background (unusable) and give me the 'open with' window again.. I have tried putting the Malwarebytes installer on USB but the laptop still gives me the 'open with' window when I try to install that

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy desktop is currently running into an issue where it will crash (BSOD) at random times doing just about any program, the screen will basically become jumbled up/turn into Lines for a second and then BSOD to the Stop Error. I have included the Minidump file, JcGriff File, and Health and systems report as per the BSOD posting instructions. My Basic system Specs include- Windows 7 Professional x64 ( installation itself is about 2.3 years old and its Retail)Age of System - Varies (Oldest component is 2.3 years old [AMD Phenom II X6 1090T], newest is only about 3 months [Asus DirectCU 6870s])

I keep getting this message when I try to open a program on Windows 7: "There is not enough free memory to run this program. Exit one or more programs, and try again".

Delete, move, are the actions -- and i have no idea why the previous text is blue.
I tried to open a program using the open with option and it changed the icons for every program on my laptop. I changed the desktop (network, my computer etc) icons back to default but can't manage to change the others. If i go into properties for the program and change it that way it doesn't do anything.

Now It has about 250GB of space left(the portable HDD), and the Laptop PC that i want to create the image of, tells me I need about 199GB for the system image.Then first time I created the image, it gave me a failure message saying I should run a CHKDSK /R and ty again. I ran a CHKDSK /R on the external drive and tried making a system image again, where it got about halfway and gave me the same message. What is going wrong every time?

However, in a Winrar-style fashion, thumbnails of the images it would work with are replaced with the program's icon. This effect has stayed even though I uninstalled it. View 1 Replies View RelatedIm having a problem with opening files I use to open with two programs. One is mkv, vob and divx files with homecinema. And snes roms with an emulator. Basically win 7 would let me select the program and it would show up on the list of programs to use. I would select always use and I'm done. But I moved the folders containing the files to a different folder and now my two programs I use will not show up in the open with list. I now have to go to the program itself and search for the files. Its a pain because I could click on the files and get right to them.

How come it's like this? In Windows XP, it just appears as soon as you left click on the USB Icon, but Windows 7 just takes such amount of time. I was wondering if there's some way to fix this?
