I am using W7B1 with an Auzentech Prelude X-FI Card, connected to Z5500 Logitech Speakers and I have a problem since installing X64 Windows 7. Basically WMP will only play sound if I go into the control panel and click test sound, to which it then says it will disconnect the device, and then I click no, sound returns until the media stops playing and then I need to repeat.
Anyone got any ideas how I can resolve this?
Anybody knows where can i get the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude driver for Win 7 ? I can't get the Vista drivers to install on Windows 7 & i have no sound on Win 7.

Previously Auzentech worked successfully on XP with all features working correctly so there is some compatibility issue with Windows 7.
I have followed the Install instructions as posted on the Auzentech website. I will copy and paste this for reference.
1.Install the Driver in the CD first.
2.Reboot PC
3.Download and unzip the R4_patch driver
4.Double-click "setup.exe."
5.Check “Overwrite existing shared Creative audio driver files”
6.Click OK
7.Reboot your PC after completing the installation.
The error message I get when checking the Dolby Digital box is "The Creative Audio Service is not started. Please Reinstall the application".
The 5.1 test sound pattern from the Auzentech volume control does not emit any sound.
The SPDIF properties also has a sound test pattern which displays and plays only 2 channels of sound (Front left and right).
There are no error messages in the Device Manager.
Has anyone here discovered what is preventing the Dolby Digital from working?
Does anyone know how to recover one of the original Windows 7 drivers, from those that were included in the original installation (I use RC1).
I installed an Auzentech Forte soundcard a while agao and Windows 7 had installed some version of the driver that it had in its database. Auzentech has recently released a beta then a final Windows 7 drivers. Unfortunately they cause static. After I installed the beta driver and experienced the static, I rolled back to the original Windows 7 driver and it was cured.
This time, while testing a new driver version, it seems that I have deleted the original Windows 7 driver and cannot roll back to them (no restore point old enough). Unlike the first time(s), Windows 7 is no more able to reinstall its own driver by default after I remove the current one.
I'd like to know if anyone knows a way to go back into the Windows 7 installation DVD, or some other way, and get back that original driver.

Well, AuzenTech released their Windows 7 drivers and are currently in RC-1 stage. The problem is that they don't even work. After I installed them (tried with and without UAC enabled) in a fresh install, no program or application will open at all. It's like a complete system hang up on applications (including their own control panel), therefore leaving me with the only option to completely uninstall it to be able to keep using my computer.
Unfortunately now I am left without my sound hardware acceleration and will probably need to switch to onboard audio.
Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to solve it?
I'm running Windows 7 RTM.
I have built them formatted them, fixed them added components many many times...This is my issue, Internet explore won't open....well it opens and I get a ap crash notification. I take out both of my different videos cards and use internal video and it does not crash. The problem is this is my living room movie file player and the video cards make a huge difference....I also need explorer as well....now Chrome works but that is not what I want..

When I insert the card into the reader, the green light above the slot turns on as if it recognizes the device, but it doesn't show up. Device Manager says that the driver is installed and working properly, and I have uninstalled it,reinstalled it, and restarted my computer. A system restore isn't really an option because it isn't my computer.

I can start dota2 but it looks pretty messed up. My screen isn't plugged in the graphic card, since it doesn't recieve anything from there. It is plugged directly to the motherboard.So, from what I understand the nvidia card is the integrated graphic card or am I totally wrong?Anyway, the device manager can only find the nvidia card and I cannot run any game smoothly on this computer.Before I realized this possibility I've tried to download newer drivers for the nvidia card, but it didn't help.

I've got a Biostar TA790GXBE motherboard with onboard Realtek RTL8168D NIC. This has three boxes under Power Management:
Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
Allow this device to wake the computer
Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer
I've added a Realtek 8139B NIC which only has the first option with the second greyed out and the third not present. However, under Advanced it has:
Shutdown Wake on Lan: Enabled
Wake on Lan Capabilities: Magic Packet & Pattern Match
Wakeup on ARP/Ping: Enabled
Wakeup on Link Change: Disabled
Wakeup using APM Mode: Disabled
I want to connect this NIC to the router for Internet access, with the onboard Gigabit NIC connected directly to another PC for RDP. If I run a WOL monitor, I can see it receives the Magic Packet on this interface, but it refuses to wake from shutdown, hibernate or standby.
In the BIOS it only has two relevant options:
Power-on by PCIE/onboard LAN
Wakeup by PCI
Since I use a netbook, a lot of programs i run are installed to my SDHC card. Windows 7 won't let me pin the shortcuts to the taskbar for any of my programs installed on the SDHC card. Is this a replicatable problem for anyone and is there a fix.

Have tried the beta drivers from ATI, have tried the 64 bit xp and vista ones, but still no luck.
Every time it gives an error message saying that this is not an x64 driver.

Everytime I open my computer, it is always installing devices. I usually have problem in installing my sound(sometimes my computer detects it as realtek sometimes its high definition audio device) and LAN(realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC #366). Usually repairing my sound device works. (about 70%) How can I solve it permanently? My computer says my LAN is not working but I can still access the internet. What seems to be the problem?

If I remove the CF and plug it into my laptop using a card reader, all I see are the files on the System Reserved partition. The other partition which holds the Windows 7 files is blank. If I put the CF back in the industrial computer all of the files are visible.
