Audio Only Works Through Headset
Since upgrading our Fujitsu Siemens Amilo PI1505 to Windows 7 in the past few days I've only been able to get sound through a headset and not through the speakers. Not particularly having a clue what to do I've tried installing the original audio drivers but can't do so as Windows tells me that more up to date drivers are already installed.
Any ideas on how to resolve this problem and if indeed it is a driver issue any ideas how I can get the old driver to replace the new without Windows reinstalling the latest ones on Restart.

Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Works But Inconvenient
I am using a Jabra BT620s bluetooth stereo headset. In the previous Windows 7 Beta I paired it with my PC without any hassles. Whenever I turned on the headset Windows 7 would automatically switch over to using the headset for audio output, and when I turned off the headset, Windows would automatically switch back to my sound card. This, however, does not work with Release candidate 7100. The pairing worked OK after telling Windows to search online for updated drivers. The problem is whenever I want to use the headset I have to go to Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback and set the "Bluetooth Audio Renderer" as the default. Then I have to do likewise with the sound card when I am done using the headset. I read that some bluetooth audio drivers were removed in the Release Candidate, but is this a driver issue? It was really convenient being able to just turn on my headset and use it without having to reconfigure Windows every time. Any suggestions on how to get it working like the with the RC?

Audio From Speakers, Not From Headset
I have 2 speakers, nothing fancy. And a Sennheiser USB headset. Problem is when I set my default audio device to Realtek High Def Audio, my speakers work and my headphones don't. I have to manually set the default device to my headphones, but then my speakers don't work. Is there a way to have audio through both?

Audio Limited To Just One Playback? Speakers/headset
I installed the latest realtek ac97 drivers and so far my speakers (playback) and mic (recording) works just fine. Unfortunately I cant get the sound to playback through both my speakers and headset at the same time. It only allows me to set one or the other as my default playback device, is there any way I can have both playback at the same time?

Motorola S9 Bluetooth Headset Audio Support
I have an HP Pavilion DV6700. I am trying to get my Motorola S9 bluetooth headset to play audio. I just installed Windows 7 and the bluetooth drivers won't support audio. It pairs with the headset, but can't find the drivers for the headset. I told it to troubleshoot the problem and it sent me to this link: Broadcom.com - Bluetooth Software Download I tried to install that driver, but the installation stopped very early giving me a message saying it can't update my bluetooth device. All of my internet searching always leads me back to this being the only solution that is supposed to work. Has anyone found another way to get audio bluetooth support for windows 7?

Using USB Headset And Onboard Audio Plugs At Same Time
I have a USB headset that I use for gaming, but want to use the 3.5mm jacks on the back of my pc to run a pair of desktop speakers to play music or youtube, etc. I do not want to have to switch the default between the USB headset and the speakers, but to have sound coming out of both at the same time. Is this possible with windows 7?

Surround Sound Works Via HDMI, But Not WMV, No Audio
I've got a bit of a problem with my audio with my new installation of Windows 7. Previously I had Vista installed, and had no problems with my Realtek HD audio. Installed Windows 7 everything looked good, then realized my Sony A/V receiver model SA-WCT100 was not outputting my movie collection in surround 5.1 like it use to using Vista. I figured, thats cool, probably need to install ac3filter_1_51a, I had to in Vista, and it worked a treat when I enabled SPDIF pass through. I guess I should mention Im using HDMI all the way through, from my PC to the receiver, from the receiver to the LCD. Well, that didn't fix it, everything still plays in stereo. After scratching my head and clicking here and there, I finally found a little tab in the sound settings of my Realtek HDMI setting called 'Custom'. I selected it, it said to enable AC3, DTS, etc click this box will require a restart. I said awesome, sounds like just what I need. I clicked, and rebooted. I went into WMC, and setup my audio wizard again, and selected 5.1, and tested, and this time it reported 5.1 on my Sony receiver as before it only showed 2 channels (Stereo). I played some of my DVD rips, and bam my DVD rips were playing surround sound again. I was like that was easy enough. I went to test my Blu-Ray rips that I had converted to WMV HD using TMPGEnc Xpress 4.0, and the video started to play, and I was like, wheres the damn sound. I noticed on the receiver, it didn't report anything for sound. I had no idea what was going on. My surround sound was finally working for everything, but my WMV HD videos had no sound output. I mean I can't even get stereo or anything out of them now. At least before the WMV played in stereo, now I can't hear anything. Please someone tell me what could be the problem, I don't know what else to try. I don't want to have to revert back to stereo, and disable the magic box under custom in my sound setting. I have downloaded the latest Realtek drivers form Realtek, version 2.35 for the ATI HDMI audio, and the Digital Audio. I also have the latest drivers for my integrated Radeon 3200 graphics card. I read that sometimes a high resolution can affect the audio, so I lowered my resolution from 1080p, and that didn't help, which I figured it wouldn't.

Realtek AC'97 Audio For VIA (R) Audio Controller Drivers Issue
I just installed Windows 7 and it seems awesome! The biggest problem so far is with audio drivers. I have MSI KT6V LSR motherboard (using VIA KT600 north bridge and VIA VT8237 South Bridge). I got the sound to work by installing drivers, but after I reboot the computer, sound didn't work anymore. The volume icon in notification area shows a red cross, and when I click it, Windows starts a windows "Detecting problems". After that, it says that reinstalling the driver might help.

Headset Issue
I have a headset/mic and a set of speakers, I have my speakers plugged into Front Speaker port and headset into rear, on XP this worked fine as I could use both at once or turn off the speakers and just use my headset, it appears in Windows 7 this isn't the case. I have the latest Realtek drivers and tried the registry change and nothing has allowed me to use both at once. I'm trying to use Ventrilo and I can only get sound through my speakers and as I'm trying to speak to people this isn't the best audio source. Anyone found a fix for this problem as I really like Windows 7, but I need this to work.

Cant Connect Bluetooth Headset
I have inbuilt bluetooth in my laptop (running Windows 7 ultimate) with HP/widcomm drivers installed. I have Sony HBH-DS980 A2DP capable stereo bluetooth headset. I want to use it with my laptop as stereo headphones (listening music) + internet telephony headset (voice chats, skype etc). First of all it was pain to connect the this headphones with laptop. It took me many many many tries to pair this correctly. Now that its connected, I cant get it to make a connection between laptop and headphones. I tried pressing the button on headphone to initiate a connection, and also tried to make connection by pressing the connect button in headset's bluetooth control window with no results. However it does connect once in a while (I would say less than 10% of the times). The same setup used to work fine when I had vista. What is wrong with Windows 7? I tried going back to a previous version of drivers that HP released before current ones, and even tried formatting/reinstalling windows 7, but same result. I checked headset's properties; under services I tried selecting/deselecting Audio Sink, Handsfree telephony, Headset, Remote Control, Remotely Controllable Device, but same result. I Any ideas or tips? I am just so frustrated I cant think of anything else to try..

Usb Headset Glitchy
I recently upgraded from Windows 7 build 6978 to 7100 and now my Logitech A-0374a usb headset does not work completely. The biggest problem I have is that if it is not a windows sound it is very distorted. For instance when I got to pandora on firefox I can hear the music fine but if any lyrics are played then it is lost in the lyrics. Also it crackles the entire time. Also if someone talks in ventrilo and I don't have them turned up by 800% then can't even tell they said anything and even at 800% it is like a whisper. On another note my realtek audio works perfectly fine.

Headset Getting Feedback From Speakers
I'm using a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum sound card and an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium 939 NVIDIA nForce4 motherboard. This setup worked fine on WinXP with my Logitech headset plugged into the Mic slot on my sound card. Never had a problem and never had to mess with any settings. Now, since doing a clean install of Windows 7, my Mic is picking up major feedback. If I happen to set the headset down or brush a finger along the actual microphone receiver, my speakers crackle and break-up. When I was trying to fool around with the recording properties under Sound, the "What You Hear" device is the one picking up my mic. There's also a volume bar to the right of the sound devices where it shows sound coming out of the respective device. Whenever I have sound coming out of my speakers, I also have it showing up on the "What You Hear" device as well. I normally use my headset in Ventrilo, and now whenever I talk, my mic also plays back anything that comes over my speakers as well. Is this a driver problem or has anyone else had any similar problems? I've tried messing with multiple settings with my speaker settings as well as the "What You Hear" device with no luck. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Bluetooth Headset Issue
Hopefully someone will be able to help solve this, because I am stumped. I bought a rocketfish USB bluetooth adapter almost a year ago now. I also got a Motorola H15 bluetooth headset at the same time. Everything worked fine in XP and even when I had Windows 7 RC, I used the headset as a mic for ventrillo, teamspeak, etc. I recently built a new rig a month ago and have Windows 7 ultimate x64 installed. The USB adapter was installed fine by windows itself and I updated to the newest driver online. I turned the headset on and the adapter found the device. Windows 7 is now asking for a driver in order for the headset to work though. I don't remember it ever doing that before in XP or Windows 7 RC. Windows 7 can not find a driver for the headset, even if I tell it to look online. I don't think there is even a "driver" for this, because it works off the adapter by pairing it.

Jawbone Bluetooth Headset
Seems like I'm having similar issues to others here after a quick search. The one page I've found that said it had answers has a link that comes back saying I cannot access it. I have a Jawbone Prime that I wish to use with vent and skype but cannot get the bluetooth device peripheral driver to install. I have attempted using the Broadcom software linked in most posts but it does not do anything but remain on the searching for devices page. I've also attempted to use the Asus software that is recommended in some posts but although it installs only provides me with a small window saying there is no bluetooth device present. The computer finds the headset, but I cannot get it working. Can someone help me?

Problem With Bluetooth Headset
I recently purchased a bluetooth headset from blue ant, model z9i, and it works great on my phones. I decided I also wanted to use it n my windows 7 RC, so I bought a bluetooth dongle and everything with the set up went well. It found it and installed it without a hitch. Now, the problem is, when I tried to use it, it says a problem was dectected and I needed a driver. It then directed me to the broadcom drivers page, where i downloaded the software update it said i needed, but when I run it, it gets stuck on the "Validate Blue tooth device" part. Tried it multiple times through out the week and still no dice. I even left it running all night but that didnt wor'k either. Is there any other place I could get the drivers?

I don't have a hard-wire mic to test the new audio redirection capabilities in Win7/Win2008 and what I'm really hoping for is a good bluetooth VOIP redirection scenario.

NS-BTHDST Bluetooth Headset
The headset installs correctly, however, I cannot connect to the Stereo Headset functionality from the Audio tab of the Blueooth settings screen. Just a few seconds after clicking connect, the device reverts to Disconnected state. It works fine with all other bluetooth devices (cell phone, Windows Vista PC, etc.). The device can double as a bluetooth telephony headset, and functions fine in that role, it is only the stereo functionality that is missing.
