I've recently formatted my hard-drive on my desktop and reverted to Windows 7 from 8, for many reasons, but upon installation I was unable to connect to the internet through a wired connection. I checked 'Device Manager' and discovered that the Ethernet Controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller and SM Bus Controller were all missing. Naturally, I went to [URL] and checked for a 64 bit Windows 7 Ethernet Driver, as it was the most important of the missing drivers; and downloaded a Realtek Ethernet Utility V2.0.2.1. I ran the Asus Setup in the folder, and the Utility installed. Having essentially no idea what I was doing, I went back and tried to manually find the drivers, thinking they may have been in the 'WIN7' folder of the .zip I downloaded. With no luck, I uninstalled the old drivers entirely from Device Manager, and restarted to see if Windows would install it correctly.
I just installed windows 7 pro the ultimite version and my ethernet and sound drivers are not working. Right now I have no internet at home. I have gotten the device id numbers maybe you guys can help me out as I have no idea how to ID the sound card and ethernet card. I have a onbord ethernet and a PCI ethernet If possible i would like both drivers.
I had to do a fresh reinstall of my OS recently and ever since I did I have not been able to connect to the internet to get my others drivers running. In my device manager their is a Yellow triangle next to the Ethernet controller.I have downloaded and tests both the modem drivers as well as the LAN ASRock drivers directly from this site http://www.asrock.com/mb/download. [...] 4&o=Win764 the ASRock drivers had a notification that you do not meed the required specifications or similar and neither of them solved the issue.
I did a windows 7 clean install on my HP Mini 210 4051 nr as part of creating a dual boot with Ubuntu. In Linux the internet works fine, but in Windows 7 it does not. In the device manager I see yellow flags over the ethernet and network controllers. Code 28 (My model does have an ethernet port).
Because the machine cannot connect, I downloaded all the related drivers (everything from the network tab) from the HP website for my model with another computer and then put them all in a folder on the Mini's desktop via USB. When I try to install the drivers through the device manager, and direct it to that folder, it says it finds nothing usable.
Because the computer got a virus, we had to completely format and re-install windows 7 on our asus A53E laptop unfortunately it's not without some problems, namely 4 drivers:"pci simple communications controller" "SM bus controller" "network controller" "ethernet controller"..The driver software installation says 'no driver found' And it cannot connect to the internet, so it can't even search for them online
I decided to run Asus live and have it update my computer. Around the 12th update my computer couldn't connect to the Internet saying my cable may be broken and try a new one. I ran troubleshooter and have a Ethernet Controller doesn't have a driver.
i having problem with my Dell Demension 3000. after i installing clean Window Xp sp2 2002. i,m missing Ethernet Controller driver! without that i can't connect to internet. not i,m using my bro laptop.
I recently purchased an ASUS G53SW-XN1 with Windows 7 64-bit OS from newegg and found out that the built-in webcam doesn't work. Upon further investigation I also found that there is no "Imaging device" listed in "Device Manager" yet the physical device is obviously there. I went to the ASUS support site to attain the driver for the webcam only to find that, for this model, there is no driver listed. I called ASUS about this and their tech was as surprised as I was over the lack of a driver for this model. He directed me to try the driver for similar models (G53JW, G73JH, and G73SW) but none of their drivers would work, and the G73SW model, as with my model (G53SW), didn't have a driver listed either.
I just purchased an ASUS all in one pc and on FIRST startup it said "Boot mngr is missing - press ctrl alt delete to restart." I called customer service to fix problem. It is fixed now.

I just installed Windows 7 in my PC. My old OS is XP. After I installed it, I can't connect to the internet because it says that no drivers are installed. Sorry but I don't know anything about the mb and etc. but my network adapter is built-in. So now I can't update other drivers...

I'm looking for a ethernet driver for my Dell Optiplex 380 as my computer doesn't connect to the internet anymore. I think my windows is 32 and at Dell Support I can only find 64 Drivers. I suppose it matters, right?

I have no controllers, ergo, no Internet.I bought it second hand, absolutely nothing wrong with it, I think he just might of went too far when he wiped it before giving it to me.So, I came here hoping you guys could rescue me...
