In my device manager their is a Yellow triangle next to the Ethernet controller.I have downloaded and tests both the modem drivers as well as the LAN ASRock drivers directly from this site http://www.asrock.com/mb/download. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently formatted my HDD. I installed Win 7 pro 32-bit but cannot connect to a network as the device drivers are missing for the following:
-ethernet controller driver
-network controller driver
-pci device
-pci simple communications controller
I did a windows 7 clean install on my HP Mini 210 4051 nr as part of creating a dual boot with Ubuntu. In Linux the internet works fine, but in Windows 7 it does not. In the device manager I see yellow flags over the ethernet and network controllers. Code 28 (My model does have an ethernet port).
Because the machine cannot connect, I downloaded all the related drivers (everything from the network tab) from the HP website for my model with another computer and then put them all in a folder on the Mini's desktop via USB. When I try to install the drivers through the device manager, and direct it to that folder, it says it finds nothing usable.

Windows has recognized the "Ethernet Controller" and "Network Controller" as USB devices (therefore I can "Safely remove them").
I was wondering if any of you guys is going through something like that or have any clue on solving this issue.
I was browsing my Event Viewer when I ran across a series of Event 101 errors, all re: the Marvell Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 PCI Gigabit Ethernet Controller. There would be a series of identical errors, 6-8 in a row, all with the same time stamp. They repeated once a day, sometimes twice, going back weeks. I never noticed a problem with my Internet connection.
I have a wired cable connection. The power has been going out frequently, because of storms. Could that cause the error messages?
