I don't know if I can use those drivers seeing as how I don't have the same motherboard. Atleast I don't imagine. I don't know how I'd go about finding out what motherboard I have. I'm a bit of a noobie here.

Code 28.Location for device is given as: PCI slot1(pci bus 2.device 0. function 0.)I have no idea what any of this means.I've read elsewhere that I need a chipset driver before controller driver. When I try to access Intel site I have no idea which drivers to download. The pc is playing up. it freezes very often and the mouse works erratically.

I did a fresh install of windows 7 32bit on a toshiba Satellite P755-S5215 laptop and I have a major amount of device errors. The main driver I want to get is the ethernet controller so I can at least connect to the internet. I have a program that will search and find the best device drivers for the system but I need to connect to the internet first.I looked at the toshiba support site but there doesn't seem to be any type of drivers there that helped, I downloaded a couple and they didnt' seem to work. I don't know how to check to see what type of NIC I have to determine where I need to go to download the driver.
I just upgraded from xp-pro to Windows 7 and all my sound drivers and my ethernet controll drivers dont work I looked up my driver's Vendor ID and it was 3Com (which is now owned by HP)
