When I click left mouse button I almost always get double click command. And dragging is almost impossible, when drag selecting texts or url's on notepad , although the mouse button is fully clicked in , the process gets interrupted.
11/13/2012, Google tricked me into thinking they put a new multi-mouse feature into their web browser Chrome called Chrome Multitask Mode and when i went to try it out i thought there was something wrong with it and when i clicked "Exit Multitask Mode" The following appeared on my screen: "April Fools! Chrome Multitask Mode doesn't exist (yet).
The other day I was trying to figure out what coral paintshop pro meant by security key, so I googled it. Something popped up and asked me if I wanted to download, and I wanted to say no, but my laptop's mouse is too sensitive at times, so I accidentally clicked yes. My computer automatically shut down right after that. Every time I turn it on now, it goes straight into System Repair and it doesn't work, it says it cannot repair. I've tried System Restore, but since that doesn't get rid of the documents that have been downloaded, it isn't helping either. My computer won't even let me enter any form of Safe Mode, it just goes straight back to System Repair.
I am trying to create a system restore point and keep getting the following message"The restore point could not be created for the following reason - Access is denied(0x80070005) please try again....I need to set a restore point as there are not any on my computer even when i run things which ask if i would like to create a system restore point before continuing is just not happening.
A couple of days ago I uninstalled 2 programs that I didn't need anymore Now I think I may need one of themI've tried to run System Restore but I keep getting an error message I disabled MSE and PrevX and it still would not restore .Now I'm not too worried about getting the program back but would like to be able to restore my system if I ever need to .
everytime i try to create a system restore point i get an error message. i have tried looking online for any solutions but have come up empty. if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them. i have include a picture of the error message
I have a w.d. external drive for my backup, did the backup worked ok now cant set a backup time sends me back to c drive when i go to change time.I uninstalled the w.d. software windows is running it anyway just cant set time worked before as far as i know.
Hp 6280 with windows 7 64 home premium, Started and ran fine for about an hour, then I shut it down. When I started it again later that evening, I got. ( and still get) the blue hp screen with options ( esc to boot, f11 etc etc) however it then goes to a black screen. Nothing else F11 and f8 do not work, I have 3 recovery discs, that I burned when I bought tis computer, I attempted to boot from them and was able to get into recovery manager with the first disc, (no prompts to load the other discs) I've tried start up repair , first run it rebooted and back to the same, second time it said it was not repairable and asked to call home, so to speak It currently says it is still running, I also tried a system restore to an earlier hpsf point and once completed it went back to the black screenI run avg, malware bytes, and ccleaner on occassion.
I have a Toshiba NB255 Net-book with Windows 7 Home Premium on it, and since i got it has worked great. That is until a short time ago refuses to connect to WiFi. I tried everything. It wound up being a dead end for me, so i thought maybe i'll just restore it because it could be something i messed up or an update conflicted with my system.I go to system restore, and it says i cannot perform it due to C disk needing to be error checked. That would normally be fine and dandy, except when i run error check during boot-up, it tells me it cannot perform it until i use system restore..It's an infuriatingly infinite loop ofstupidity.Because of the mix between my net-book refusing to restore, connect to WiFi, update(update just gives me error code '80070490'), or do anything besides just use Office and other stuff, my net-book just collects dust now.
I am using 2 identical Dell Studio XPS 8000 desktop computers (wit Microsoft USB Natural Keyboards), 1TB hard drives, Windows 7, 64 bit platform) and I had no problem in the past making System Images. I have 2 separate external hard drives (1 is a 1TB Seagate Expansion External Hard Drive, the other is a 160GB hard drive.)It seems the System Image is approximately 149.GB, so will fit.I thought you had to erase the previous system image to put a new one on the same hard drive, but both computers said the drive was disconnected, and put a big red X on the drive location. Turns out I had to reformat the empty drives. I did, and the computers recognize both dries when they are connected, but the red X remains, and attempts to make a new system image fail. I am offered the "start backup" box, I can click on it, and all seems to be going well until the fill bar (green) stops about 1/6th of the way across, it stops there and j ust spins, not filling anymore, and if left long enough, it turns completely red and says the process failed.
the other night i left my computer on and it said it was going to auto update at 3am, i came back downstairs to see it had updated and tried to use my mouse/keyboard (wireless Microsoft ones) and nothing was happening.. it said the windows update had installed correctly in the bottom right hand side, i guess the only thing it can be is a driver issue as it works on my windows XP partition i am using now and also works on a recovery disk/startup to get into bios.. the problem i have is i have tried a USB to Ps/2 connection with no luck (with my wireless mouse/keyboard and a wired one of both), ive gone into system recovery and apparently i don't have any system restore points (im 99% sure i did/do) ive booted into safe mode the story is the same there.
i just bought a new comp and am trying to use system mechanic/one click cleanup software that i had previously bought and an error comes up saying "system maintenance software has stopped working".application will exit and windows will search for a resolution and let me know when one is available. Does any one know what could be the problem?.
Just bought a new Lenovo G770 5 days ago. Running Win7 64bit. The system repeatedly thinks the CTRL key is being pressed when it isn't. In the middle of typing a sentence, suddenly every letter I type performs the associated ctrl key action. The only remedy is a complete reboot (and loss of data in the process). I have googled this problem and it seems pretty common, but all I've found are a lot of suggestions (some of them too technical) and no clear solutions. Some of the non-useful suggestions I've gotten already: "Wedge the CTRL key up" ~ it is not physically stuck; I have not even touched the key when this happens. If the key were simply physically stuck, a reboot would not solve the problem. "Clean your keyboard" ~ the keyboard is not dirty; it's 5 days old.
I have tried everything and I'm not able to fix system restore. I don't know when system restore stop working. I'm not able to find it in services, is there any other way to fix it other than using the windows 7 that came with the computer.
I've been Goggling of & on for the last month & about 3 hours today getting nowhere. I've tried to restore in Safe mode, & MS answers, Methods 1: Turn off system protection and check if the issue persists, Method 2: Perform SFC scan on your computer & I tried a Sys Restore with my Sys Repair Disk & none have helped. Other than doing a Format & starting over.
So my computer was doing fine. It started acting a little slow, so I decided to shut it down and give it a rest. When I turned it on, this is what came up. Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically.
I have just done a clean install of Windows 7 and after solving a lot of initial issues def-ragging the drive everything was fine.
I then discovered windows system restore was not working would not start. Even when I enabled the in services shadow copy I set it so on the first failure it would restart which it did. It had a dependency RPc I set that to automatic when I log on. I do not know what the default settings are for these; I would have thought start up if its monitoring your hard drive.
I am using Windows 7 professional OS... and i got some problem with my sound system.. But when I rebooted my system with Backtrack OS.. I could listen the startup sound. and nothing other than that. As it is a live OS I am using,i didn't install any media players.. so couldn't check other sounds in Backtrack...
but in windows i couldn't even hear the startup.. I 've tried reinstalling the sound drivers. But it was of no use..
i opened system protection today to find it hasnt been making restore points and that there was an error when i tried to set it up.My system came with Vista which I then set up to dual boot with 7, and then following that, I deleted Vista altogether. In system restore, I can see
System Windows 7 C: (system) Recovery Windows 7 C: (missing) Windows 7 C: (missing)
I think at least one of system /recovery my belong to Vista, as they dont show up in windows explorer?
I have a weird problem. I have used a Verto 9600GSO in a custom ASUS build without too many issues, but the other day I lost one of my two sticks of system RAM and now the video card isn't seen in the device manager. I can get video from the onboard video port, but nothing from the video card. The worst part is that I know the 9600GSO is in good working order as it worked flawlessly on another system, and another card worked as expected in this system. Why does it seem that my aftermarket 9600GSO doesn't want to work without both sticks of RAM?
Just recently I have not been able to get sound on my computer (All In One Desktop). Neither sound nor system sounds. I believe it started when I started plugging in my earphones into the jack. I can hear sounds (movies, video) and I can also hear the system sounds. When I unplug the earphones from the jack, there is no sound. I have tried all the website links on how to fix it, I've looked to make sure nothing is muted. I just find it odd that my sounds work fine through earphones
my 5.1 music system is not working in windows 7,only two speaker is working. while the same was working in win xp. i have upgrade my sound driver but problem is still yhere
My windows operating system is not working properly. It's taking too much time to start. Sometime, after starting, internet connection isn't being connected. After restarting PC it connectes. Sometimes, after starting PC, a message shows that the windows wasn't shut down properly. Then some options come i.e. "Start windows normally" and so on. After pressing 'Enter' it starts.
So way back when I installed windows on my SSD I made a system image restore doohickey, using the "Create A System Image" tool, once I had applied all the necessary settings, installed drivers, etc. Now, windows is experiencing problems and I wish to restore to this back up. How on earth do I do this? The images don't have any kind of runnable-files inside to use. And when I use the recovery disk it says it cant find any image. Ive explored windows various restore utilities and the likes, and at no point does it simply say something like "Please select the file location of your restore image". I have the system image doohickey just sitting there...how do I tell windows to just use that backup? It all seems to be trying to do it in some automated fashion..
