I am the developer of a driver for a network adapter device that does scatter-gather DMA. Driver is not newly developed, but has had some recent changes. My client has a puzzling BSOD on one x64 machine after about 18 hours of successful operation. My x64 Win 7 machine runs fine forever. Client's box crashes in seemingly random places that indicate mem corruption.Mem test on machine was clean. Minidump is attached. WinDbg stack doesn't trace back to my code - it just shows the calls to handle the exception. Any clues y'all can see?System info from WinDbg:Windows 7 Kernel Version 7601 (Service Pack 1) MP (4 procs) Free x64Product:WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTSBuilt by: 7601.17640.amd64fre.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506One difference between client's x64 and mine: Theirs has a valid DMA MapRegisterBase pointer from a AllocateAdapterChannel call, where mine (and my x86 systems) always have a null DMA MapRegisterBase
I have been having a bunch of crashes while playing games like Battlefield 3 and Wow. When I've played Skyrim and other games there have been zero crashes. Using WhoCrashed tell me about memory corruption, and doing Windows Memory check comes up with no problems detected.

I have recently built a new PC (about a month ago), but I'm continuing to get BSOD randomly. I did have two HDD in my PC and the BSOD were more frequent, but since reducing to one HDD over a week ago, I have just received another BSOD. My biggest problem is that, every time my PC BSOD, it doesn't leave a Minidump for me to analyse. It appears that most of the time the BSOD is displaying KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and either volmgrx.sys or nfts.sys.

I've tried to do my research on this and I've done a LOT of troubleshooting so far. For the past 6 months, I have been getting BSOD about 3 times a week at complete random times. It mostly occurs overnight when I'm asleep. I have tried deactivating all hibernate and sleep functions with no luck. I have tried three different anti-virus softwares and am now using Microsoft Security essentials. I have tried various settings for creating a minidump file with NO luck but I think I might know why. My BSOD is a Kernel data inpage error, stop code 0x0000007A, The sys file is lists 80% of the time is volgrx.sys but I've also seen an NTFS.sys listed.
So I received a solid state drive for Christmas last year and haven't had any luck with installing it. I'm doing everything I can to rule out that it was DOA considering that at this point it's probably past warranty and I don't really wanna drop the money on a new one.I've tried to replicate the crashes but have had no luck. There appears to be no conditions required for the system to crash, so my initial thought was some kind of hardware malfunction.
Getting several BSOD events. When I try to zip up the files for loading I get access denied. I changed the registry to take ownership to each file, but still not able to zip up using 7 Zip.
Suffers from a repeating BSOD. Unfortunately I reinstalled Windows (win7 x86 sp1) before thinking to package up the minidumps. However, when installing Office the computer conveniently bsod'd, hence the uploaded minidump.I'd be grateful if someone would take a look at it for me - let me know if you need more information regarding the system. All I know is that it's a brand new install, and isn't likely to be due to graphics hardware, as both the current gfx card (AMD hd5450) and the old (an older AMD/ATI graphics card) both suffered from BSODs. Additionally, I've run a pass of Memtest and of Prime95, without any errors reported
I have encountered BSOD many times and I am not sure what has caused this. Can someone please check the minidump files for me since I do not know how to read them myself.
The past few weeks she has been getting frequent BSODs, usually three or four a day: KERNEL_DATA_IMPAGE_ERROR.While I know enough to view this using BlueScreenView, I'd like to know how to interpret it
I've spend the last week scouring Windows 7 Forums finding dozens of people with this issue. At random times, during use or idle, the computer goes blank and reboots.Starting from a clean install of an OEM copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on a formatted HDD
1. Updated all drivers for my devices for Windows 7 2. Loaded and installed all current Windows Updates 3. Flashed and updated the BIOS 4. Ran the driver Verifier, did not see any errors reported 5. Tried to run sfc /scannow, system reboots when the scan gets to about 60% (tried twice) 6. All non-necessary devices (printer, external HDD, etc.) are disconnected.
I would attach a minidump file but there isn't one. I've got the system set to record one but it's not there. I have the view set to display all hidden files/folders. I've done searches for *.dmp files and typed in the address I've got set in the options ... no dice.I never get the BSOD, I have it set to not automatically reboot. It still goes blip and restarts anyway. There's no real pattern to the restarts but it loves to do it in the midst of installations.I've held off running a memory test simply because all my fellow sufferers keep reporting no errors in the memory and any time I do anything time consuming it fails when the system goes blip again. System Info via Advisor attached.
Getting several BSoD a day and it driving me mad! I have replaced the RAM but still giving me the "fault in non paged area" error and i have reinstalled windows and the error still there
i have a pile of memdumps if someone can help me
BSoD error i have had "IRQ", "MEMORYMAGEMENT" and "NON PAGE FAULT",
with me replacing the ram and reinstalling windows, where else could cause this issue?
After previously solving the BSOD error "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval" by replacing the CPU, I have run into another BSOD. This time the error is "memory management". After doing some research I'm thinking this error is about some program conflicts or something similar (I'm hoping that is the case!), instead of a hardware problem. I have attached the last 3 minidumps I have.
I decided to upgrade my computer and installed a new mb and processor. However with the new build the computer refuses to start up properly with more than 2Gb of memory installed. The machine runs fine with 1*2Gb of memory but as soon as I install a second stick I get a BSOD during windows startup.
Same thing happens if I install my graphics card. Memory sticks has been tested with memcheck86+ and individually they all work fine, in all slots. I can also run memcheck with 4Gb of memory installed without problems. BIOS is current as well as all drivers I can think of.
ASUS M5A88-V EVO Corsair 2*2 Gb XMS3 1333 Intel SSD 120Gb AMD FX-6100
I started to get random BSODs, usually after a few hours after turning on my PC. The only major change I made was a firmware upgrade to my Asus P8Z68-V Pro MB to the latest iteration: 3203 released Feb 21/12. Recently my website got hacked via ftp password breach but I ran a full system AV & Malware scan and results were clean.
Windows 7 64-bit (student upgrade version), approx 8 months old. System: Intel i5 2500k cpu @ stock, 8800GT, 16GB G.Skill PC3-12800 ddr3 ram, Windows booting off a WD 1.5gb Black HDD
[code] I bought this computer at Microcenter, they manufacture them and sell them under the brand PowerSpec. Mine is the B633 Since I bought it, it had had multiple errors, as shown in the attached .zip. I want to know what I need to do to fix these errors.I have ran memtest and let it do 10 passes with 0 errors. I am running driver verifier right now and have had 2 BSOD that I have never seen before, one was Special Pool...? Most of the time it is Memory Management BSOD, however.
my computer has been receiving random BSODs throughout the day, especially when I am browsing the web. The message is usually "memory management." This computer is around 3 months old. The first 1 1/2 month, it did not experience this problem. However, from July and onwards, my computer would get BSOD; it would occur at least once a day.
According to BlueScreenView, the driver that is causing BSOD is "ntoskrnl.exe."
It is a new build and it runs fine with 2Gb of memory installed, but as soon as i insert a second memory stick it goes through BIOS and 2-5 seconds of the Windows Logo before a bluescreen flashes by and the screen goes black. It will reboot and perform a Windows repair but with the same result. Same thing happens if I install my graphics card.
since running on 2Gb of memory and on-board graphics isn't my plan
I just intalled nTune 5.05.54.00 and when I accept the agreement to use the performance tab in the control panel I get a BSOD every time. Is there a work around or another version that works with the RC?
It's been doing this lately, and i get the blue screen telling me memory has failed and is shutting down. It's only up for a second, but right before that, the screen goes nuts with distortion and i hear buzzing (audio malfunction).
when running memory certain intensive applications like VLC (when watching videos) or uTorrent, I intermitentley get BSOD crashes (screen shot below), which can happen every 10 minutes to several hours apart.
i recently made a thread in regards to my blue screens and i will now upload more of the minidumps. they generally occur when i am on chrome and watching a Internet video. i just received one then in regards to memory_management and no reason was shown.
my computer gets a blue screen after an few minutes. it crashes faster if i open a programm. the message of the blue screen is: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
So I've been having random BSOD's for 10 day's now - They appear at complete random and I can't tell why, Each time they display 'Memory Management' - I can normally diagnose them and narrow it down, However I cannot seem to do so. Can an expert have a look at the dumps and see if they can work it out?
Recently I have been getting random BSOD some say Management, other say Non Default, Bad_Pool_Header, maybe some others but the BSOD is to fast for me to read exactly what it says. I been doing my research on how exactly I can even first look at this mini dumps found a program call (BlueScreenView) When look around i can see all id the dumps there but am seeing the the main culprit is a ntoskrnl.exe. Now I am guessing this Because it was shown alot. People have said to run memory checks, your ram sticks are going bad, restore your computer, but honestly I an clueless.
I would like to know 1) What are the step to find the problem 2) How to fix it 3) How to prevent it
We have 64 bit Windows 7. I have been installing Visual Studio family 2008, SP1, 2010 and 2010 SP1. At the end of installation, I keep getting mini dump BSODs, and once the computer has rebooted the Visual Studio Installer shows the installation has failed due to a fatal error. I attached the minidump files in a zip folder.
I own a Dell XPS M1710 running Windows7 (5 years old). The graphics card has already been replaced once (after 1 year) due to a well know heating problem (made tolerable by cooling pad). I get Blue screen and Memory Parity Error some of the times I start up but mostly it freezes at the black screen point. Memory check gives all clear and I have tried swapping out all of the RAM with (working) modules but still get the same error message. Tried updating the graphics driver, no change. Tried disabling the Graphics device in Device manager and this had a slightly different blue screen but the same basic result.I suspect the graphics card Nvidia Go 7950 GTX because the fault first happened while playing an MP4 file.
For a couple of days now I've been getting emergency memory dumps at literally random times. I could be doing a game, or searching the internet, or just typing in a notepad document. I enclosed the latest minidump.
