Signs Of TBI Should Remove LINUX From Their Machines, Installing A Windows Based Solution
Apr 9, 2008
Traumatic brain injury (TBI), also called acquired brain injury or simply head injury, occurs when a sudden trauma causes damage to the brain. TBI can result when the user installs a LINUX based Operating System on his or her computer. Objects soon appear to pierce the skull and brain tissue. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. A person with a mild TBI may remain conscious or may experience a loss of consciousness for a few seconds or minutes. Other symptoms of mild TBI include using Open Source software like OpenOffice, GIMP,. Galeon, Mozilla, Bluefish, VI, or a host of other applications.
Using versions of LINUX causes problems with memory, concentration, attention, or thinking. A person with a moderate or severe TBI may show these same symptoms, but may also have a headache that gets worse or does not go away, repeated vomiting or nausea, convulsions or seizures, an inability to awaken from sleep, dilation of one or both pupils of the eyes, slurred speech, weakness or numbness in the extremities, loss of coordination, and increased confusion, restlessness, or agitation. Anyone with signs of TBI should remove LINUX from their machines right away. Installing a Windows based solution should help stabilize an individual and focus on preventing further injury.

You had better not be using Linux because they don't support Linux. "Most Linux users are serious computer users. We?re geeks, and geeks use a lot of internet. Wouldn?t it be wise of AT&T to just acknowledge us?" Linux users are an oddball bunch of less than 1 percent of the desktop populous.
"This is not the first time I?ve run into problems with AT&T pretending that the world consists entirely of Windows and Macintosh. Once I was helping someone else get a Linux system going with AT&T DSL, and they flat-out refused to give her the manual setup instructions for the connection if she couldn?t use the automated Windows or Mac installer. The tech told her? If you run Linux you should be able to figure it all out on your own. I won?t help you, and I won?t transfer you to anyone else.".............

I used to have a network that consisted of: XP Pro / XP Home / Win 98 / Win 2000. they all saw each other and I was able to move & change files between them. I have had VISTA since 9/2008. however, my vista machine sees my XP machines and the shared folders but my XP machines don't see vista when I open network folder. I have everything shared, all permissions are full. I tried again to set up network on XP machine and it sees the vista shares but not allowed access. ps don't know if it matters, vista is a laptop running wireless.

I suffer from Microsoft's sick joke where a blue screen is thrown over all my emails in Windows Mail. I noticed at least one solution where anti-virus could be disabled but I did not think that was practical. I found that if I run it as an administrator I never get the blue screen. However, I can only run as administrator by right clicking and selecting that option from the menu that comes up. Is there a string that can be added to the target for the shortcut which will automatically launch windows mail in the administrator mode?

To anyone having the same problem sending with Yahoo here is my solution.
Choose Tools then Accounts, highlight your account that you are having problems with, click Properties, then under the Security tab change the Algoritham setting to DES, click apply then exit tools.
Now send an E-Mail and it works.
The above setting will revert back to its original one but you can still send mails, whereas before you couldnīt.
Must have been a gltch in Windows Mail.
Dont forget incoming port (pop3) 995, outgoing port (smtp) 465.

I keep reading about folks who needed to remove some sticks of ram before installing vista 64-bit. Is this mandatory? I have 4 gig of Ram and I really don't want to open up my box and remove 2 gigs, as my computer is large and I'd have to remove memory cooling, etc. (I know, lazy) Do some people with 4 gigs ram succeed in installing vista without removing memory?

I have a couple of Windows XP computers and a couple of Vista computers. I share files, printers etc. and it all runs great. One of the family has been away, and now they have come back their laptop won't connect to the XP computers. It connects to the Vista (and Win7) computers just fine. It must be something wrong with the laptop, as my other Vista/Win7 computers connect fine to the XP ones perfectly. I have tried disabling firewalls.
The error I get is:
Windows Cannot Access \COMPNAME
If I click diagnose I get:
"COMPNAME" is not a valid hostname
The laptop is running Windows Vista Home 32bit with SP1, using it's wireless connection. One of the XP machines is wireless, the other is wired and both are XP Pro 32bit with SP3.

Version 10 and it still has all the same glitches, endless code and incompatabilities it had since the beginning. Wireless support totally sucks, audio support is a jolk, and usually you have to settle with haveing one of the two work depending on which distro you install. I tried Linux for a third time when I saw the new version 10 and it still sucks. I now have XP back on my Eee PC and everything works as it should with no code hhaving to be written, or config to suffer from The age old question: what can windows do that Linux can't? Aside from everything in general the main answer is WORK!

Can the linux operating system be removed and Windows XP be used instead?" Once again the users have spoken and they sure as hell don't want Linux. No wonder Linux sits at 0.6 percent of the desktop market and has for many years.

I am having is I cannot acess my laptop with windows sharing/networking.I am trying to share files and printers between my Dexktop PC and my Laptop. My desktop PC is connect to a router with DNS by cable and the laptop is connected by Wi-Fi.Both computers belong to the same workgroup(WORKGROUP).Both computers have password protected public folder and printer sharing, file sharing, network discovery, and password protected sharing enabled. Both computers do have shared files and printers. What's happening is from the laptop the desktop(RK-PC)appears and I can share files and printers flawlessly and very quickly. However from the desktop while the laptop (RYANK-MOBILE) appears it cannot be accessed at all. Also the desktop is vista 64 bit and the laptop is vista business.I saw another thread with the same problem but the response pointed to a tome of an article that explained every single facet of windows sharing down to the way the packets are constructed. To be honest I don't have time to read 100 pages on windows sharing and there is no way the problem is the complicated.None of the suggestions I read in the first five pages or so helped at all any ways.I tried changing netBIOS from default to disabled on both PCs but after doing this the result was normal function on the laptop as before but the desktop could no longer even see/discover the laptop on the network.

I remember reading an old post by Tiberius/Tibery-OS that showed a link to that virtual machine software where you ran Windows right under the Linux taskbar(s). I now can't find it using search. I looked up all his posts under both names, still nothing. Does anyone have a link?

I have a Windows 2003 R2 x64 (all current SPs and updates installed) and 3 Windows Vista machines (also al X64 versions). When trying to copy a (large - maybe 50MB +) file from the Windows 2003 Server to the Vista Machines (the Server Shared folder is mapped to a drive in Vista) - I will get an error like "There is a problem access I:igfile.txt - make sure you are connected to the Network and try again" Once in a while I will see "Error 0x8007003A" I can copy those files just fine from Windows 2003 to another Windows 2003 machine or Windows XP machines...

We have a home wireless network with a laptop and desktop both on XP. I've successfully added my new laptop with Vista to the network, but cannot connect to the printer that runs through the XP desktop. I've scanned some of the discussions, but nothing has worked so far. I've checked all the firewall settings, have file, printer and public sharing set on the Vista laptop.
The desktop PC is hardwired to the wireless router. The other XP laptop still prints through the system as normal. it's a Dell AIO 922 printer that has an XP based driver. Ihaven't been able to find a Vista driver for that printer. Do I just need a newer printer?

and this one was just plain scary: a driver has overrun a stack based buffer. this overrun could potentially allowa milicious use to gain control of this machine 0x000000F7. if anyone knows a fix for this (even if it means i have to reformat)

I had the message "The command can not execute" or similar when double clicking on an attachment in Windows Mail. The funny thing is that this problem started suddenly yesterday. I also had some weird problems with Norton Internet security, so with considerable trouble I un-installed it from the control panel. Now suddenly the attachments WORK AGAIN! I am now whithout virus protection, so I will try to re-install Norton and give it one more chance. Who knows what will happen.
