My image quality is really bad when i go on the internet. I have a dual core, 32bit, home premuim. I have adjusted my display, installed flash, done everything i could possibly think of doing.

First time I set up the right side button to 'magnify' on this MS Laser Mouse 6000 in Vista 64 bit, clicking it would cause the entire display to flash on and off a couple times before teh magnifier. Very disturbing. Recently had to do a new install, and it now works perfectly. Today I upgraded another computer to Vista 32 bit, and it exhibits the same problem (display black, then flashes on, then black again, then it works). Updating the driver didn't help. This same mouse works fine in this regard on all XP machines.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using the onboard intel graphics with the VGA out to my VGA display. This problem has only started happening within the last 20-ish days or so. The display will periodicly flash black for a secound & then back on again? it's almost like changing your screen resolution but with no apparent resizing taking place, although it does seem to happen mostly when I expand windows more than any other time. Everything still carrys on as normal on the computer when this display blackout happens.
I have tested my ram with memtest to rule out ram problems as it's new. I'm not getting any errors to suggest theres some ram issues or any related symptoms for ram associated problems. anyway & it's now past 3 memtest sessions with no errors. I have also carried out orhtos & prime95 test just to stress the Ram & CPU to see if I got any errors reported with nothing reported. Only once did a blackout happen during testing when I was maximizing a window but the test reported nothing?

6. Select Run as Administrator.

8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard. Once the wizard completes, Flash Player has been properly installed and will now function properly. I have tried this on a Dell Vista system and it worked like a charm.
if the width of a particular column (Name, type, total size, etc) can be permantly adjusted. I am tired of dragging the Details or Name column to more width so to see all information. It always opens a window in default at about 1 1/2 inches wide. Never wide enough to see all.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a program trying to flash on my screen. It is every 12-15 seconds apart and only flashes for a half second. I have tried to click on it. I have disconnected from the internet as I thought maybe someone was trying to access my computer. Still does it. I ran3 different spyware and antivirus programs. Plus, I ran rkill (all 4 types). I still have the problem.
If I am typing while it flashes, it erases my typing. I have defragged, debugged in addition to running spyware and antivirus programs. After doing each one of them, I have restarted my computer. Still get that flash. It is driving me bonkers.
All my problems started after I unistalled a trail version of McAfee. I am using Vista Ultimate 32-Bit. Please don't tell me to phone Microsoft, because I'll just end up losting my temper with them. I don't see why I should have to pay for support, Microsoft have lots of money already.
Internet Explorer 7 is not displaying Flash or JavaScript. I have the latest version of Flash and JavaScript is enabled. Firefox works perfectly, the problem is just in Firefox.
The sidebar has stopped displaying gadgets. The sidebar will open but gadgets will not work...........
I have a 2 problems which I believe are related. Firstly I have a slow internet connection which previously was via a hardwired network with tiscali and is now bt wireless via a dongle, browser is IE8 and fully updated. When i surf the net very often I cannot view large sites at peak times without receiving the messasge "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage" and offering me a "diagnose connection problems" tab. When I click it always says windows did not find a problem with this connection but when it does this 10 - 15 times in an hour I find this hard to believe.
Problem 2 is I cannot send attatchments larger than about 2-250k via my hotmail account, whenever I try I get the message "Windows did not receive the complete file please try again". The PC is a homebuilt machine and I cannot remember all the bits and pieces in detail but it scores 5.9 on the windows experience so is reasonably quick (runs MSX at full settings) and it runs very cool. It seems in both cases as if the time out limits are stopping the operations before they have time to complete tho I may be wrong, I have tried to locate the timeout settings to no avail,
I have a problem with my laptop recently in that although I can send and receive e-mails, I can also connect to the internet via Internet Explorer, but I cannot see any webpages. All I get is 'Internet Explorer cant dislay webpage'. I then tried 'system restore' to an earlier date (as I suspect that one of the updates is causing the problem) and then it worked fine. However, a couple of days later I had the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this annoying problem and what I can do to stop it happeneing again?

But when browsing the internet (IE7), certain websites won't load (eg Apple, Ninemsn, Microsoft). Eventually it displays "Internet Explorer can't display the webpage". When you diagnose connection problems - it finds no problem. I have tried turning off firewalls (Vista), uninstalling my AV (NOD32), disabling Vista's autotuning (which booted my brothers computer off the network, but did nothing to mine). I have tried to browse through Morzilla Firefox (but i can't load the website to download it!) and have tried disabling ADD ONs in IE. None of these change anything!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI regularly get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" pages when surfing the internet. My internet cuts off for any other programs using the connection as well. Every time it happens a tool pops up asking me to "diagnose connection problems." After identifying the problem, Windows states that the computer has limited or no connectivity and offers me 3 solutions.
1. Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter "Local Area Network"
2. Try turning off modem, unplugging it and restarting, or
3. Reset the network adapter "Local Area Network."
All three solutions work for a time But the problem keeps persisting afterwards. Some days it will only do it once or twice. Other days it does it 3 times in 30 miniutes. Usually its not a big deal, since the repair always works, but if right in the middle of DL a large file, they often come through corrupted after the restart.
In my normal old XP pro IE, I just click Tools, Internet Options, Settings, View Files To be able to view and copy the temporary internet files, from IE. But with my vista, when i do the same thing, even though I have activated make hidden files visible, the temp inet folder appears empty. I assume they are present, but Just cannot see them. Can someone point me in the right direction to make them available to me... Also if anyone knows of any handy tools for managing the temp files let me know. I copy a ton of stuff frm the temp inet folder and its very cumbersome.

As ive read on other topics, I think its a driver issue, but I just dont know what to do. I will try another fresh vista install tomorrow and get the vista updates quickly to see whether that helps the situation. Ive re-installed, windows, and it froze after I installed the chipset driver. I contiuned, and found a sound driver wasnt digitally signed. However it still crashes. I have got the latest drivers for it. For it to crash, all i did was open recycle bin, from idle state.
I shouldn't be surprised but here goes....I checked today for SP1 on windows update.. According to my computer no updates available however updates were last installed on 03/13/08 and yet when you look at installed updates it shows a windows defender update installed today. I have been reading several posts on this problem and have noticed that Carey Frisch posted a link to troubleshoot and now here is a problem and that is none of these apply to me... View 9 Replies View Relatedlet me start this nightmare story i had just done a fresh restalled and spent hours on getting everything installed on pc all was fine working perfectly untill that is i installed vista service pack 1 from windows updates the update process crashed halfway through so i had the only option to restart my pc then came the blue screen of death and it metioned if you have any new hardware installed make sure all drivers are installed etc etc of course i know it wasnt hardware it was because of me restating my pc half way threw the service pack 1 and the full files not been installed threw the update process crashed was the reason for the blue screen but the blue screen had notes advising me to clear shadow memory in the bois and any other memory so i stupidly assumed this was channel mapping and bank mapping and put them all to zero please see jpeg of what i changed i basically disabled everything that was enabled and put all the mapping channels and bank channels to zero and now when i switch on my laptop i get a blank screen with no post no ...........

I recently bought a 2GB (SanDisk Micro Cruzer) to use for ReadyBoost. It worked for a few days, but now it doesn't... I right click on the drive and click properties, and it says that the device is full, and when I click on the "ReadyBoost" tab it says that there isn't enough space available... yet I have nothing on the drive except for the empty folders and U3 installation that it came with.
If I format the drive, will it still be ReadyBoost capable? After all, that is the whole reason I bought the drive.
When I use the 64-bit IE it periodically asks if it can install flash. I go to do it and the adobe says they don't have flash compatible with 64-bit IE. Has anyone found a way around? I really want to use IE64 with a flash player. Adobe can't be the only game in town...i found an alternate pdf viewer called FoxitReader.

If not, copy it from another PC (that has the same version of Windows) and place the file in the system32 folder.
