First time I set up the right side button to 'magnify' on this MS Laser Mouse 6000 in Vista 64 bit, clicking it would cause the entire display to flash on and off a couple times before teh magnifier. Very disturbing. Recently had to do a new install, and it now works perfectly. Today I upgraded another computer to Vista 32 bit, and it exhibits the same problem (display black, then flashes on, then black again, then it works). Updating the driver didn't help. This same mouse works fine in this regard on all XP machines.
My image quality is really bad when i go on the internet. I have a dual core, 32bit, home premuim. I have adjusted my display, installed flash, done everything i could possibly think of doing.
I have a windows vista. I had adobe flash player, this morning a box popped up when I signed on to install a newer version of adobe flash. I clicked install now it said success, when I went to a web site that you need flash player to see certain things I could'nt see any thing. So I go to download flash player and Internet explorer says: Has blocked this site from using an active x control in a unsafe manner. as a result this page may not display correctly
I'm using the onboard intel graphics with the VGA out to my VGA display. This problem has only started happening within the last 20-ish days or so. The display will periodicly flash black for a secound & then back on again? it's almost like changing your screen resolution but with no apparent resizing taking place, although it does seem to happen mostly when I expand windows more than any other time. Everything still carrys on as normal on the computer when this display blackout happens.
I have tested my ram with memtest to rule out ram problems as it's new. I'm not getting any errors to suggest theres some ram issues or any related symptoms for ram associated problems. anyway & it's now past 3 memtest sessions with no errors. I have also carried out orhtos & prime95 test just to stress the Ram & CPU to see if I got any errors reported with nothing reported. Only once did a blackout happen during testing when I was maximizing a window but the test reported nothing?
I have an old Logitech but fully functional mouse (cordless optical).
When I ran Vista x86 Ultimate, I installed a small program that allowed me to double-click with middle mouse button. Now, with Vista x64 Ultimate, it doesn't work anymore.
Do someone know another small program to allow me that?
I don't know if I'm posting this in the right spot...
I recently bought a 2GB (SanDisk Micro Cruzer) to use for ReadyBoost. It worked for a few days, but now it doesn't... I right click on the drive and click properties, and it says that the device is full, and when I click on the "ReadyBoost" tab it says that there isn't enough space available... yet I have nothing on the drive except for the empty folders and U3 installation that it came with.
If I format the drive, will it still be ReadyBoost capable? After all, that is the whole reason I bought the drive.
When I use the 64-bit IE it periodically asks if it can install flash. I go to do it and the adobe says they don't have flash compatible with 64-bit IE. Has anyone found a way around? I really want to use IE64 with a flash player. Adobe can't be the only game in town...i found an alternate pdf viewer called FoxitReader.
I have an Acer Aspire that has flash 10 and every time I play video's in You Tube or some such it spends alot of time rebuffering. If it starts out fast the the progress buttong catches up to the taskbar and rebuffering starts. I am heartily tired of this. 2 Gigs memory, 1.73 Gigs xp home premium 32 bit. Anyone know a fix or workaround?
i seem to be having issues trying to watch a Internet flick or any other kind of flash /video files? when it tells me too download adobe, and i do, nothing happens, i know im an idiot but what am i missing here?
Check if the file msacm32.drv is present in your Windows system32 folder. If not, copy it from another PC (that has the same version of Windows) and place the file in the system32 folder. This applies to Vista and 7 64Bit but in the SysWOW64 directory which is the folder for the 32 bit programs running on the 32bit virtual machine.
A very common sound problem is an incorrect or missing registry key for msacm32.drv discussed in the preceding.
Launch Registry Editor by typing regedit at Run command.
I've installed a couple of flash drives that are supposed to support ReadyBoost in Vista on a couple of my Vista computers, however I'm not seeing much on an increase in speed. I've looked at the Task Manager, but I'm not seeing any type of memory size increase either. How does this work? Would it be better to install more ram rather than this setup?
I have a flash drive that I like to use. It is heavily used and often filled to almost all of its capacity. Just a few minutes ago I was using it with my XP computer and I opened up one of my folders to find that all of my files were gone to be replaced with folders and files with strange characters. If I try deleting anything, it says the directory does not exist. All that I can do is to format it. After formatting, I plugged it into my Vista but it said that it was corrupted or unreadable. I am wondering if it is a virus or if I should just get a new flash drive.
I have a problem with a USB flash drive I have had for quite a while, that Windows Vista insists all the files and folders on it are read-only. I can create a new directory on the drive, but not rename it, and I can copy files onto the drive, but not delete them from the drive. I have found no way to correct the problem. For example if I look at the properties of folder on the drive and uncheck the "read only" checkbox, it does it, but is read-only the next time I try to use it. Does anyone know the source of this curious behaviour (which a few other people have also reported) and how to fix it?
I like to have Animated/flash wallpapers, in Windows XP i could do that with some tools/programs, but now with windows vista, i just can't get this to work. I tried several programs, but none of them worked. Is it possible to use flash wallpapers in windows vista? and if so, how to do it.
im having ALOT of trouble downloading macromedia flash. i need it because i go on stickam.com, and its required, but i have vista 64-bit, and macromedia isnt compatible with it...i really need help. how do i fix this?? i need simple step by step instructions because im not computer savvy at all, so please help me...im stressing out about this and loosing my patience.
Does anyone know the fix for this? I have a 250MB flash drive from the same manufacturer that works without a problem on a Vista workstation. I also have a new 1.0GB USB2.0 flash drive from the same manufacturer that works on my XP Pro workstation but does not work on my Vista workstation.
I have tried to reinstall the driver and found no driver for a USB drive. There have been many posts on the net about this problem with a few suggestions for fixes, but none have worked. Apparently Vista is blocking this USB drive. We have several USB drives of the same type and they are all blocked. Go to an XP Pro machine, and they work perfectly. This must be a new security app that Microsoft has added without any documentation to support it. It doesn't even show up as an error in event viewer.
I bought this computer four days ago and I can not get flash player 8 to install. Do I need to take it to Geek Squad or can I fix it myself. I love to watch tv shows at ABC.com
I lost my flash player and can't re-install it. I've deleted the flash files and re-installed several times and deleted my macromed folder and re-installed. I think the issue is in the UAC. When I try to change the UAC account type to administrator I can click on the administrator dot but the change account type box fades and I can not select it. In advanced user profile properties there is a user name ending in a IUSR_NMPR and then the user name that I use. I can not delete either.
Does anyone know if ReadyBoost will work with an SD flash card? If so, do you have any idea what the transfer speed needs to be? I don't want to make the purchase if there is no chance it will work.
after i've logged of and logged in on a deifferent account i cannot play flash videos like from Internet. if i restart the computer flash is working fine. i'm using vista 64 home premium. have anybody encountered similar problems. i've also a weird update problem with the desktop. sometimes popup menus items images will stick on the desktop after the popup menu is already gone.
Adobe Flash is not working in any of the programs that use it unless I run the program as administrator, then it works fine. However, I do not want to be forever having to run all my programs as administrator because either I have to right click and do it, or set it to run as administrator which means I get the popup from UAC. I didn't have flash installed. I have tried all the solutions offered on the adobe site several times and none of them will work.
I'm new this process and am hoping that someone can lend a hand. I understand how BIOS flashing works and the risks involved, but I'm not sure how to find the file to dl and how to actually complete the 'flash'.
Any limits on how many flash drives you can use in xp, Vista, W7? Another words, if you have a lot of flash drives, will xp, Vista, W7complain about to much hardware?
Running Vista Home Prem 32 bit Can't install Flash Player, receive error message: Runtime Error! Program: C:programfilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unsual way. How do I fix this so I can install Flash Player?
I have a program on CD. I need to boot from it. The clients notebook is one of these tiny things with no CD drive and 2 USB ports. I'm trying to see how to make an ISO of the CD I need to boot from, put it onto the flash drive, and then boot from that. How do I burn the ISO onto the flash drive so it will boot INTO the program, as it would if it was on CD?
