View 6 Replies View RelatedI lost my flash player and can't re-install it. I've deleted the flash files and re-installed several times and deleted my macromed folder and re-installed. I think the issue is in the UAC. When I try to change the UAC account type to administrator I can click on the administrator dot but the change account type box fades and I can not select it. In advanced user profile properties there is a user name ending in a IUSR_NMPR and then the user name that I use. I can not delete either.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having problems trying to install anything from applications like microsoft office to cs3 flash... When i click on setup, the user account control window appears asking for permission to setup, I press continue and then the setup window appears but then immediately closes. It doesn't even begin to install, I've tried running it running it as administrator, i've tried deleting previously installed applications that may have caused disruption and i've even tried installing them whilst in safe mode but nothing seems to work.

I recently bought a 2GB (SanDisk Micro Cruzer) to use for ReadyBoost. It worked for a few days, but now it doesn't... I right click on the drive and click properties, and it says that the device is full, and when I click on the "ReadyBoost" tab it says that there isn't enough space available... yet I have nothing on the drive except for the empty folders and U3 installation that it came with.
If I format the drive, will it still be ReadyBoost capable? After all, that is the whole reason I bought the drive.
When I use the 64-bit IE it periodically asks if it can install flash. I go to do it and the adobe says they don't have flash compatible with 64-bit IE. Has anyone found a way around? I really want to use IE64 with a flash player. Adobe can't be the only game in town...i found an alternate pdf viewer called FoxitReader.

View 4 Replies View RelatedCheck if the file msacm32.drv is present in your Windows system32 folder. If not, copy it from another PC (that has the same version of Windows) and place the file in the system32 folder. This applies to Vista and 7 64Bit but in the SysWOW64 directory which is the folder for the 32 bit programs running on the 32bit virtual machine.
A very common sound problem is an incorrect or missing registry key for msacm32.drv discussed in the preceding.
Launch Registry Editor by typing regedit at Run command.
2. Navigate to the following registry key:
For XP and Vista 32Bit:

3. On the right pane, and check for existence of “wavemapper” registry subkey, the mail culprit ...

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've installed a couple of flash drives that are supposed to support ReadyBoost in Vista on a couple of my Vista computers, however I'm not seeing much on an increase in speed. I've looked at the Task Manager, but I'm not seeing any type of memory size increase either. How does this work? Would it be better to install more ram rather than this setup?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a flash drive that I like to use. It is heavily used and often filled to almost all of its capacity. Just a few minutes ago I was using it with my XP computer and I opened up one of my folders to find that all of my files were gone to be replaced with folders and files with strange characters. If I try deleting anything, it says the directory does not exist. All that I can do is to format it. After formatting, I plugged it into my Vista but it said that it was corrupted or unreadable. I am wondering if it is a virus or if I should just get a new flash drive.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with a USB flash drive I have had for quite a while, that Windows Vista insists all the files and folders on it are read-only. I can create a new directory on the drive, but not rename it, and I can copy files onto the drive, but not delete them from the drive. I have found no way to correct the problem. For example if I look at the properties of folder on the drive and uncheck the "read only" checkbox, it does it, but is read-only the next time I try to use it. Does anyone know the source of this curious behaviour (which a few other people have also reported) and how to fix it?

View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know the fix for this? I have a 250MB flash drive from the same manufacturer that works without a problem on a Vista workstation. I also have a new 1.0GB USB2.0 flash drive from the same manufacturer that works on my XP Pro workstation but does not work on my Vista workstation.
I have tried to reinstall the driver and found no driver for a USB drive. There have been many posts on the net about this problem with a few suggestions for fixes, but none have worked. Apparently Vista is blocking this USB drive. We have several USB drives of the same type and they are all blocked. Go to an XP Pro machine, and they work perfectly. This must be a new security app that Microsoft has added without any documentation to support it. It doesn't even show up as an error in event viewer.
When I save items on it like videos - they do not work. And when I save notepads and open it in the USB, the words are all coded.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAdobe Flash is not working in any of the programs that use it unless I run the program as administrator, then it works fine. However, I do not want to be forever having to run all my programs as administrator because either I have to right click and do it, or set it to run as administrator which means I get the popup from UAC. I didn't have flash installed. I have tried all the solutions offered on the adobe site several times and none of them will work.

This same mouse works fine in this regard on all XP machines.
