I can't possibly find any place to have Windows Mail use "Courier New" as font for new newsgroup articles. Although I believe to have set "Courier New" at any possible option, Windows Mail still uses "Arial" when I click the "New Message" button on a newsgroup like this one. how to set this monospaced font in Windows Mail?
how to permanently set a default font size in Windows Mail? My Windows Mail default font is 10 but I would prefer it to be 12. However there does not seem to be an option to change it to 12 automatically, instead of remembering to reset it before starting to type an email.
I am trying to find the font folder, so that I can copy a font onto a disk to put onto my laptop. In other versions of Windows its C:windowsfonts, which it appears to be in Vista, but once in C:Windows I cannot find the fonts folder. If I go through the control panel to the fonts folder it will not let me copy the front from there. It will let me right click the font to copy, but not let me paste onto a memory stick. I have already got into Folder options and made sure that Hidden files are visible.
when i compose mail it has reverted to Arial size 12; when i change it to say,36, it has a size 36 cursor but immediately I type it reverts to 12 again. Have i got a default that is overriding my other settings?
when you write a new message in Windows Mail - by default it starts with Arial fonts. Can you change this default to your own particular liking and save it, so when you start a new message,it starts with your choice automatically?
I have Windows Mail thru Vista and have tried to change my font size and color on outgoing e-mails to somthing different than the default but everytime I go in to compose an e-mail it keeps going to the default font size and color. I went to TOOLS - OPTIONS - SEND and COMPOSE and have changed them there but that doesn't seem to work.
I created a new volume fron unallocated space. The volume seems to work fine. However in windows explorer the font is blue, not black. For all other volumes the font is black. Is this a problem? Why is the font blue? how can i chabge it to black?
I have found a font I like called Parisian. It it not currently installed in my fonts. I have WIndows Vista 68 and Microsoft Office 2007. I am told I can install this free font and others, but don't know how. I went to microsofts free font downloads and got a zip but how do I get the font files into my programs. Specifically I want to use it in Microsoft Publisher 2007. That is the program I do most of my flyers in and want to use that font.
I finally found a fix for the above problem and you two surely deserve to know what it is. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > Settings > I modified Always Use My Font Size from (1) to (0). Initially, I was doing my searching using the entire computer and it literally took hours. Since I knew that searching KEY_CURRENT_USERS was a waste of time (you had already suggested deleting Windows Mail), I only searched for key words using LOCAL MACHINE. This allowed me to shorten search times to a reasonalbe amount.
Running Vista on an HP...When I get the pop up to compact the mail I click OK and it gets about 3 quarters of the way thru and I get the message Windows Mail has stopped working and Windows is searching for an answer. The answer was DEP (Data Execution Protection)was shutting it down to protect my computer..What's the problem??? Norton internet Security up to date and nothing found with complete system scan..Vista up to date as well.
My main mail client is my office XP system, I also receive mail in home. So I select the 'Leave mail on Server' in my home XP system and it work fine. Does anyone know is it the bug of Vista Windows Mail?
I received this after my computer locked up when trying to open up windows Mail "Windows Mail could not be started, initialize junk filtering. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. (0x80070002)" After closing that error out I get "Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized.
I've had a problem for a while now. Every time I open Windows Mail up, or the news groups, I get a message saying Windows mail isn't my default mail program, and asks if I want it to be. I click yes every time, but I will still get this message when I open Windows Mail again the next day. Everything's works OK after I click this message. No other errors or anything.
I don't know if anyone can help me, but I was wondering something. I just got this laptop 7 months from a friend. I was wondering why the smallest font size on this thing is only 8? Is there anyway to add any font sizes smaller than 8. I need at least a 6. It is this way for every font. And i have the same problem on my desktop and it's still XP. If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd be grateful. Thanks.
Incoming email is difficult to read because of age and font size. Have checked out ideas on Goggle and Windows "Help and Support". Either I'm too thick or the suggestions are no longer applicable. I'm using Vista, IE 8 and Windows mail.
is there's an equivalent to XP's Display Font Size in Vista? In XP Display Properties, Appearance tab we can change Font size to Large or Extra Large. This is useful for people who want high resolution desktops but find it hard to read small text (without sitting really close which is bad for eyes). I know there's a DPI setting in Vista just as there is in XP, but it's not the same as Font size.
I am really tired of Vista deciding what it wants to do with no input from me. This time all the font sizes in the display windows decided to grow larger. It was fine when I turned off the PC, but when I turned it on the next day all the font sizes had grown by at least 100%. I tried to change the size of the font, but that did not work. In reality I would like to get rid of Vista and go back to XP--there I didn't have to worry what it was thinking up to do today
I just discovered that I am unable to copy and paste a font. The computer that has the font runs Vista 64 bit. Have tried right-clicking and the Organize function. When I try, the Copy function is present but when I attempt to paste to another location on the same computer so that I can eventually email the font as an attachment, the Paste function is grayed out. Tried it on a friend's computer and her situation is the same. Her computer is also Vista 64 bit. On my computer, I am the Administrator and sole user.
Everything on my computer is smaller not the size of the screen. but the web pages the pictures/ print / the works I did not change the apperance. Or any thing like that it just did it. I have tryed everything but can't get it to return to normal.
I suspect there maybe a simple answer to this, but for the life of me I can't find how to do this. My default font was changed about 2 weeks ago (long story as to how and why) to something that looks like GEORGIA or LUCIDA or something similar, and was forgotten to be changed back. So every webpage I open, every menu option, is all in this new font which I dislike.
I want to delete the Tahoma font from the Fonts folder in Vista and instead manage it with a font program I have installed so that I can activate and deactivate it as required. Vista won't allow me to delete it, instead this message appears: "This action can't be completed because the file is open in another program Close the file and try again". During the delete process I have all programs closed. I have tried deleting with certain processes not running but still no luck. Is there any way to determine which program is using the font? Any ideas how I can delete it?
I have Windows Vista on my Dell laptop and I frequently used the Biondi font that came with vista. Just the other day the font seems to have gone missing and all the programs I use, such as Adobe Photoshop say that the font is missing and has been replaced. Does anyone know of a way I can get the font back without having to totally reinstall Vista?
