I have WinZip Pro 11.2 I have a folder which as some jpeg's and AVI files which total to 158mb I want to send these files via email? I tried to compress the files, but it only made them smaller by about 13mb? How do I make these files smaller so I can send via email?? I am lost? Winzip has a option to zip and email, but still the files are too large? What am I doing wrong?

Right now I have a single 640 gig HDD that everything's on. I've got a laptop too that I'm gonna be taking out on rotations eventually. I wanted to get a new smaller (250GB) HDD and put my Vista on that, so my 640 will be data only (then I could take it with me in an external enclosure and leave the desktop for my mom to use til I come back and collect it). I was gonna DBAN the 640, but I wanted to get the data off of it first- about 170 GB of stuff that I'd rather not lose.
My question is-
Can I install Vista on the smaller drive, boot with that, and access files on the other drive? Would it work if there's another Vista running on the other drive? (both SATA).
I know how to keep copys on the mail server when receives. How can I keep copy on the server when I send?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIve been trying to figure out a way to use the ICACLS command to give permissions to a test user and have them apply to all files in the directory. I know I can use a wild card but that only effects files in the folder at the time the command is executed. I have also tried using /inheritance:e as one of the arguments but it still doesnt seem to work. Can someone give me an example of how I would give the user 'Admin' full control of the directory 'c:perm test' without a wildcard. (Including all files in that dir)

I have (for years) used MSN Premium software as my email program. Now, it seems I can't make this my default email program with Vista. I am going nuts! I have spoken to MSN support who tell me to do the same things over and over. I have also spoken to Microsoft support who told me I have to use Outlook or Windows Live mail instead.
It's really hard. I have taught my elderly parents how to use the MSN software and now we have to change - or do we? I've tried the email settings in MSN itself, I've tried associations for programs in Vista and also the default programs. Nothing is working. Surely, one Microsoft program should work with another? We pay for this software so that we can also have sub accounts on our email more storage than the usual hotmail space.
I used to be able of seeing thumbnails and previews for .wmf files in Windows XP, but never the same in Windows Vista. How to make Windows Vista able to generate previews and thumbnails for these files?

For instance, I generally use Times New Roman 12, but it shows up in the display about like a #8 font used to. When I print it out, the font is the size that it should be. (I changed to Arial 12 here)The type of font does'nt seem to make much difference. When I used Arial 12 it shows up a little larger, but not much. I have Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2.
