Auto CC Or BCC Keeps Email Address
Jun 23, 2008I am using Windows mail and i would like to put myself in CC or BCC for the every email sent. please do kindly advise how is that possible. putting yourself in every email is very difficult so how is it possible that when i compose any email or reply to any email the CC or BCC field automatically keeps my email address in it.

Mar 23, 2008In previous versions of Windows with OE when I would begin to type the recipients address in the box it would auto-complete (or show choices if there were multiple matches at that point). Windows Mail for some reason is only doing this on a handful of my contacts and the rest I must click 'Recipients' and then select them from the huge list. Any one know of a fix for the auto-complete issue?

Mar 23, 2008I haven't been able to figure out why I can't get my contacts to populate when I'm composing emails. In my old outlook it would give me options when I started typing in the To/CC/BCC bars and made it much easier & faster to email people. Now, unless I've sent an email to a person earlier in the day, I need to type the entire email address or click on the To/CC/BCC tabs. Is there a setting to allow the population of addresses to resume?

May 15, 2008Whenever i create a new email by click "To" to open up my address book for selecting any email address, or when i use "reply all" and want to add in some more email address from the address book, the computer start to run and till it stuck, so the only choice for me is to end this task and type email address instead of selecting email address from address book.
i thought that this is because i got too many email address, thus i deleted most of it and now only got 700 email address inside my address book, i just can not understand that when outlook express can take more than 3000 email address book, but windows mail can not take about 700 email address book. And somemore, this email address book is just useless for me, because whenever i want to use the address book, the windows mail is going to hang... and the only choice is to go to task manager, end this task and restart my windows mail.

auto retrieves email regardless of the time frequency that I have set.
I have tried turning off the retrieve when started and that does not
make the auto detect work either. This option worked when I initially
started mail but stopped working shortly there after.

Aug 2, 2009I've been trying to figure out how to keep Windows Mail from automatically opening the next email in my mailbox. For instance, I open an email from my mailbox... after reading it I then delete it... the next message in my mailbox then automatically opens up.

Control panel default settings will not allow option to disable Windows Mail. (grayed out). Register Hotmail software says only Vista but I am using Vista. Also cannot open old email program (Windows Mail) : getting error message MSOE.DLL 0x8007002: Checked and followed all advice on forums. Have also stopped virus software from scanning emails.

Mar 23, 2008i have imported my contacts into windows mail ok. windows mail will not autofill email address's. on outlook express, yahoo, aol, when you start typing the email address you get a drop down menu with a selection of address's. i have ticked the automatically fill email address's in the options. all my contacts are in windows mail, i can see them if i open contacts. someone please help. more info:- it appears that if I have sent an email, by typing in the full address, it remembers that address and the autofill works ok for the contacts that i have "manually" sent an email. i have over 200 contacts.

Email Old Address Deleted
Mar 28, 2009My wife changed her email address. I dutifully went into contacts and made the change. The old address was completely deleted and "Contacts" now show ONLY her new address. However, when I open "Send Mail" and type her name, the old address continually pops up. Mail seems to have an odd set of rules as to which email address it will use, unfortunately, I have no idea what these rules are.
