How do I hyperlink an email address? I am brand new to hyperlinking and honestly do not know anything about it. What I what to do is -- have my email address just show my name and not my whole email addess too. Could someone show me how to do this?
View 9 RepliesWhenever i create a new email by click "To" to open up my address book for selecting any email address, or when i use "reply all" and want to add in some more email address from the address book, the computer start to run and till it stuck, so the only choice for me is to end this task and type email address instead of selecting email address from address book.
i thought that this is because i got too many email address, thus i deleted most of it and now only got 700 email address inside my address book, i just can not understand that when outlook express can take more than 3000 email address book, but windows mail can not take about 700 email address book. And somemore, this email address book is just useless for me, because whenever i want to use the address book, the windows mail is going to hang... and the only choice is to go to task manager, end this task and restart my windows mail.
Need directions to remove a former friend's email address from my address bar. Whenever I create a message to someone with an address starting with the same first letter, his email address also shows up.

Control panel default settings will not allow option to disable Windows Mail. (grayed out). Register Hotmail software says only Vista but I am using Vista. View 7 Replies View RelatedI, use the email for listing my auctions on several sites. We, use to have Outlook Express on the older computer. With this new computer we are using Windows Mail which I can see now is one of the most useless mail systems. When I, go to the page that I want to link to, and copy the address at the top and have it in my que, I then go to the email and click on the hyperlink button and paste the address in with the Type of File set for http:, and do a OK.
Now when I save the message, and then go back to it the link works, but if I go somewhere else in Windows Mail and come back to the message, sometimes the link works and sometimes it doesn't. Then when you open the hyperlink button again the address has either disappeared or it has change Type of File to "(other)" What made it change the Type of File to "(Other)"??
So, I grab the address again, and change the Type of File back to http: and paste the address into the box, Hit OK. Then on the email I can copy what I want so I can transfer the information plus the hyperlink to other messages that need the same information in them. But then when I go back and check those hyperlinks they have been changed from http: to (other) so now the hyperlink will return a non-valid-address. What is making this happen??
My email box is loaded with "Returned and Undelivarable Messages" using my email address as the sender. Some are in foreign languages. How can I prevent someone from using my emaill address to send out mass spam email?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi have imported my contacts into windows mail ok. windows mail will not autofill email address's. on outlook express, yahoo, aol, when you start typing the email address you get a drop down menu with a selection of address's. i have ticked the automatically fill email address's in the options. all my contacts are in windows mail, i can see them if i open contacts. someone please help. more info:- it appears that if I have sent an email, by typing in the full address, it remembers that address and the autofill works ok for the contacts that i have "manually" sent an email. i have over 200 contacts.

My wife changed her email address. I dutifully went into contacts and made the change. The old address was completely deleted and "Contacts" now show ONLY her new address. However, when I open "Send Mail" and type her name, the old address continually pops up. Mail seems to have an odd set of rules as to which email address it will use, unfortunately, I have no idea what these rules are.

Windows Mail for some reason is only doing this on a handful of my contacts and the rest I must click 'Recipients' and then select them from the huge list. However, how do I set up this Windows Live mail account?? When I put in my email address as xxxxx@hotmail.com I get the error message that Hotmail is no longer supported. When I go to send an email, and I type in a partial name, (say just a letter C) I see a bunch of names from my address book that start with C, but also names that are not in my address book. Why is this how do I stop this.....
