I can not send email to 2 people in my address book. One is my mom!! I can receive email from them and reply to them but can not send a new email. I can send directly from my gmail web page but prefer to use Windows Mail.
I use windows mail. For three days now I have been unable to send emails to anyone who has an email address with the @aol.com extension. Every one of them comes back with a failed delivery notification. These are addresses that I send to almost daily. These aol users are able to send me emails but I am unable to even reply to them.
Say I have 10 individual Email recipients that I often send the same Email to. I want to be able to bring all the addresses together into one Group, and send the Email addressed to say "Family" or "Social Team" etc. Is there a way that I can lump all the common recipients together under one title?
Each time I send an email to a group of addresses my email also gets sent to an unintended (not listing in To recipient. I can't seem to stop my emails from going to this other person. What can I do to stop this?
select email addresses i can neither send or receive to/from. no error messages are given on either end. outgoing messages do appear in my 'sent items,' but are never received by the recipient. this only happens with a few email addresses. not sure what to unblock or whatever. i have Vista and Road Runner internet service.
I am unable to send email. Using Vista. Have emptied outbox as suggested in other posts. Outbox was emptied without difficulty, sent to drafts, then deleted. Created new email - tried to send - still couldn't. Error message - unable to connect to smpt server. Have gone to tols - accounts - servers - re-entered info.
I have a brand new computer running Vista and the only emil program I have is Windows Mail. I installed it and configured it but find that although I can RECEIVE OK the mails I try to send get the error:"An unknown error has occurred. Subject '', Account: 'mail.talktalk.net', Server: 'smtp.talktalk.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 smtp.talktalk.net', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F"
I have checked the mail settings with the ISP and they are fine, I have read the postings here and I can find no new clues, At the moment I can receive emails through Windows Mail but only reply through webmail!
for several days I have been unable to send email though can receive ok. this error message appears: The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section.
I receive emails fine no problem but cannot send them. I get the following error message: Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Please check your SMTP server is set to smtp.orangehome.co.uk. Further help is available at Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F I am using an IMAP server so that I can send emails from anywhere.

I am running Windows Vista My mail version is 6.0.6000.16386 I have a tiscali email address but use SKY as my ISP (broadband) I cannot send mail via Windows Mail but can receive! the message that comes up is: An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'test', Account: 'pop.tiscali.co.uk', Server: 'smtp.tiscali.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Sorry, your non-local IP address (90.212.88.182) is not allowed to send email via me.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F Is this happening because Sky and tiscali are not compatible? Do I need to change my email address? Can I fix this?
I am also receiving the following error message when I try to send an email.
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Fw: Emailing: don 041', Account: 'Work', Server: 'mail.sccc.tv', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
I have been on the phone with my service provider and they have checked everything on their end and said that it is a problem with Microsoft. I have also, after reviewing other posts, changed my port from 25 to 80 & 587 and neither have fixed the problem. I have also uninstalled my antivirus program. Still nothing.
I am unable to send or receive email using Windows Mail. I get the following 2 error messages: The connection to the server has failed. I have Norton 360 and have disabled, then uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried other changes. Can anyone help me figure this out?
I keep getting these spam emails from random valid email addresses telling me I have X amount of dollars waiting for me in a online casino. Every time i delete and block the emails address i get another from another email address generated. Its obviously spyware, I have run AVG and spybot and it hasnt fixed the problem. I cant adjust my spam filters cause sometimes theres important emails which get IDd as SPAM by accident. Is there anyway to fix this?
I am trying to set up my Microsoft Mail and I am trying to import webmail. I have a Juno, yahoo, and sbcglobal account. Could anyone tell me the incoming/outgoing adresses for the juno and yahoo?
The connection to the server has failed. My wife is using vista with windows mail. The email address for one of her friends is correct in the contacts list but when she starts to type in her friends name in the "To" box three options pop up one of which is the correct address but two have additional letters embedded in them which makes them unusable. Is there any way to locate and delete these spurious addresses?
how can I stop the full email addresses of individuals, being shown on mail I send to multiple recipients. Office outlook has the facility to edit this but I can't seem to do this on mail.
I am really having problems importing my address book from yahoo into windows messaging. I have saved the addresses as a cvs file, but when I import into my mail program, the email addresses still don't appear in my address book.
Is there a way to disable a contacts email address from showing up in an email sent...I want names only in the sent to line. Not everyone wants there email address shown for others to get.
When sending a message in Windows Mail, the 'TO' line shows the recipient's name and email address. Is there any way to just show the name and not email address?
I have checked "automatically complete email addresses when composing" in Tools, Options, Send. However, it doesn't always work. It would save me a lot of time if it worked (like Outlook Express).
I had two 100 name distribution lists in Outlook Express; when all data was transferred to new computer with VISTA, the lists were all messed up. Appears Windows Mail removes anywhere from the 1st three letters from the addresses. I seems to fix those I know what the real address should be but they keep changing (& getting between 50 & 100 undeliverables).
I use Windows Mail and I have tried by several of the usual ways to delete individual entries but every time an error message comes up with "Windows Explorer has stopped working" and not possible. Last time the only way I could do it was to delete the address book and so when I started Windows mail it started a new one. I had to re-input the data which was a ruddy nuisance.
I exported my email addresses from my old laptop using outlook express as a csv file then imported them to windows mail via import. i ticked all the boxes and i have made sure the box to automatically complete email addresses when composing is ticked is actually ticked and applied. Yet i still cant get email addresses to finish automatically.
I m looking for the correct way of displaying all my email addresses on the left payne underneath - the Local Folders, inbox, sent, drafts etc.. instead of going up to the toolbar and going through that procedure looking for the correct addresses for an email.
I just want it the way i had it on my old pc when i used outlook express. Also currently when emailing - the persons name and email address both appear in the 'to' box, which i cant seem to fix to just the persons real name. Both of these question are real headscratchers for me and have spent many hours on them already.
