Publish To Internet Option?
May 16, 2008on my old windows xp this was an option. What happened on vista? That option is no longer available?

Publish Does Not Maintain HD Look
Jul 29, 2009i recorded several clips in hd on a flip mino hd. imported them into movie maker. in the preview window in wmm, they look like hd (more rectangle). i did all my editing, etc. looked great in wmm itself. then i publish using the hd 720p option and once it is done, in windows media player, it looks more square and everything is squeezed into the square making the person appear very tall.
i set aspect ratio to 16:9. not sure what i am doing wrong. the goal is to get the hd video as originally recorded into the published video to load to Internet or vidler.
Movie Maker Stops Working On Publish
Feb 6, 2009After I press publish my movie that has a mix of videos(all .wmv) and audio stops working and a screen shows up saying the following: Windows Movie Maker has stopped working....A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Feb 7, 2009i have windows vista, and on movie maker everytime i try and publish my movie the movie maker crashes. i have tried all the fixes that i could find and i have been sat here for hours. i am desperate, i really need to publish this video to enter it into a merlin fanvideo competition on Internet. i have tried entering regedit and renaming "msacm.voxacm160 to "no.msacm.voxacm160". but to no avail. i also uninstalled nero as on a post they said that it caused problems.. but that didnt help either..i have tried every fix that i have come across..nothing has worked.

Oct 11, 2009I cannot publish my movie with windows movie maker, although I cannot detect any problem. All the clips used in the movie are .avi, it is 41 clips in total and the movie length is 2 min 33 sec. When I try to publish the publishing process starts but then cancels and gives me this message: "Windows Movie Maker cannot publish the movie to the specified location. Verify, that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the publishing location is still available, that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again." Checked all that and that is not the problem! could not find any solutions in the other threads for WMM.

Mar 23, 2008I am using Vista Home Premium. I have created a movie with Movie Maker, and when i try to publish the movie with the default settings, its giving an error message: "Movie Maker can not publish the movie. The source files may not be available, or the disk space is not enouth...". I have my source files in the same path, 50GB of free disk space is there. But its not publishing the movie. But, if i select the third option the select bit rate window ie.AVI-DV in the dropdown list, the publishing is successfull. But the .AVI file created is huge in size. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with movie maker, and why it is not able to publish the movie with default settings.

Mar 23, 2008I have tried to format my computer, first I tried by just inserting the disc, no luck, then I tried booting it from the disc, no luck then I tried going into computer management right clicking my c drive but the format option is no available. I have evn tried phoneing Microsoft but they want $80.00. Sep 18, 2009When you right click on a program you get the box that opens giving you all kinds of options; run as administrator, scan with, etc. What do you call that box? I am running Vista, but a friend is running XP. She used to have listed in that box the option to scan with her anti virus program, but she no longer does. Is there a way, in XP, to add this to that box?

May 20, 2009Suddenly, my computer freezed (just like it has been doing for some time now). When I restarted it, the computer asked for the Vista DVD, so that it could repair some files (I couldn't even boot into Safe Mode). I put the DVD inside the drive, and choose the "Repair your computer" option, but it reports that no Vista installation is found...
I then boot into the Rescue and Recovery environment (that is a Thinkpad suite, located in another partition of the disk) to see what's going on. The System Information detects everything except the Hard Drive (it reports "Not Available" for the fields "Hard disk free space" and "Hard disk capacity"). I also can't see the harddisk in the option to backup the files to a pen (the pen is recognized, though). Just to be sure, I run PC Doctor and my hard disk passes all tests.
Option In Contacts Folder NOT SEEN
Feb 7, 2009I'm new to the Forum so I hope I'm doing this correctly. Anyway, initially I was trying to create a mailing group, but could not see a choice for that option in my Contacts folder. Turns out it was set on "Pictures and Videos" and I read, in this Forum, how to fix that so it would show my list of contacts, and would therefore show the choice for setting up a group. That worked fine. My problem is - my changes don't seem to want to stay! For instance, today I was working in my picture folders, and then when I went back into Windows Mail and clicked on Contacts, it was back to showing "Pictures and Videos!" Why won't it stay on Contacts after I configure the folder? I do click "Apply" and then "OK," but that doesn't seem to make a difference. It keeps changing back.

Sep 6, 2009In an effort to speed up my start up time I downloaded instructions from Microsoft's download site. One option used Windows Defender. I tried that. It changed nothing. I then tried an option using msconfig. I unchecked certain programs leaving my Anti Virus and Microsoft Operating programs. After a restart nothing had changed. The desktop still had the same icons. Should Get Option To Choose Installation Language?
Mar 23, 2008When I start windows home premium on a new pc for the first time should i get an option to choose the installation language? I bought a pc in germany and the start up failed i got an error message in an endless loop i got it to start with the recovery disc but that has set it to German and i cant change it. Can anyone confirm or not that if the set up had run correctly i should have been offered the option to set up in English. if this is the case i can go back to the manufacturer and complain.

This feature is very annoying, as right button dragging to a folder and selecting move will also deselect sorts as well.
