I am user of vista 64 bit ultimate until I upgraded to iPod touch. Touch is not recognized by vista (64bit) and says I need a 64 bit iTunes s/we. This has really put me in a dilemma. I use dual boot with WINXP Pro and Vista 64 bit ultimate. I have been using the dual boot to XP occasionally for using my digital camera as there are no 64 bit vista drivers for it. My iPod touch works fine under XP and now I have to use the XP all the time to use iTunes/iPod touch. Anyone has any thoughts/clues on when there will be support for vista 64 bit from apple? Options I can considering are to re-install 32 bit version of vista which will solve the iPod problem; I guess MS will not allow me to dual boot 32 bit and 64 bit on the same machine?

when I tried to connect to Itunes from my computer the device was not automatically recognized by Itunes. Instead I got Vista's Autoplay menu which gave me the following three options:
- Import pictures using windows
- Open Device Using Windows Explorer
- Take no action
When I go to the device manager and I look at the properties of my Ipod (under Portable Devices) I found that the Device Assembly Description is Digital Still Camera. Consistent with this when I look at the Ipod at My Computer it shows an icon of a camera. This issue has happened now with two different Ipod Touch devices, but does not happen with other Ipod models (nano or Video). how to change the device properties?

who has purchased a JVC Everio HDD video camera has probably learned that they chose to use some god forsaken proprietary video format - the .MOD extension. Apparently this is some sort of MPEG2 encoding, however, most major video editing suites prefer not to accept this format? what we need is something more common? such as .AVI or .MPG. I would be happy with the .MOD file format if the software that came with the JVC Everio actually worked.

Microsoft has just announced that MS-Windows 7 (I like the name Borg) will have a touch screen feature to it. We know that from the Longhorn/Vista over promising and then cutting features out like WINFS. So if MS really wants a late 2009 early 2010 release will MS cut features again just to get it out the door? Or will Windows 7 really just be Windows Vista 1.2 ie service pack 2 of Vista.
I think it will be just Vista Service pack 2 with a few newer features for newer devices. MS knows people hate vista but i love it since i can now cheat at solitare and when you copy files and a file is in use it now asks you what you want it to do instead of just crapping out on you.

I have recently set up my vista media center pc and I have set up 2 xbox360's as media extenders. What I would like to do is make home movies (no editing) and drag and drop thes video files to Vista pc and then be able to watch the video on my media extenders. I am going to buy a new video camera, a hd model with a hard drive. My question is can I do this without converting the video to another format? Does anyone make a camcorder that records in a format that is supported by media center or does anyone make a plugin for media center that will allow AVCHD playback? I have a standard VIDEO_TS folder(NOT copied from a commercial DVD) on my computer and while Windows DVD Maker recognizes the VOB files as video files and is willing to burn them onto a DVD, I want to watch the DVD as it was intended. I have tried making a DATA DVD with the video_ts file, but that won't play on a regular DVD player. How do I make a VIDEO DVD using the full VIDEO_TS file instead of just a DATA dvd?

Why do I get black picture after I have pressed PrtSc button? Of course it shouldn't be black and it happens only when the screen is on full screen mode (for an example videos, games etc.). I have a Viewsonic 28" LCD monitor (model vx2835wm) which is pretty good, but not the greatest quality to say the least. It is 1080p supported too.
However, I need something of better quality. My question is the monitor *must* have 1900x1080 resolution specifically to be 1080p supported correct, even if it offers higher resolution options?
Example:
Dell 27" UltraSharp Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor
Higher resolutions, 1920x1200 too, but not 1920x1080 specifically. Would this be a bad idea for Blu-Ray movies (my Sony laptop has a built in Blu Ray player)?
