Incoming File Size Limit With Windows Mail?
Mar 23, 2008is there a file size limit with windows mail? i have been sent files and they do not make it through to my email account with windows mail, but they are viewable at the yahoo server? is there a place where i can change the size of the files to be allowed to be received?

May 18, 2009I'm having trouble with Windows Mail. I'm currently running Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1. I will receive an e-mail, open it, read and file it. A few days later the same e-mail arrives again. This does not happen with all e-mails. I also have attempted to send myself e-mails from my work station and they never arrive. Jun 3, 2009My Windows dialog boxes are too small to display all the text they contain. And as we know, these verdammt boxes are not resizable. Up to now, this has been a minor annoyance, but now it's a major one: it's keeping me from completing the Vista x64 SP2 patch install.
As you can see in the attachments, the window text is just too big. It overflows the sides of the dialog. And because the SP2 EULA screen requires that you view all its text, and I can't, I never get an active "NEXT" button to proceed with the installation. Changing screen res does not help.
I've tried Personalize > Windows Color and Appearance > Open Classic Appearance Properties to reset the Window Text size, but the option to do this is grayed out. I've tried the registry hack found on this board to try and substitute a smaller font, but no go. I've tried several hackware proggies to try and force unresizeable windows to resize, but no joy there either. I've also tried Chris Pirillo's Vista Font Fix to no avail
Winmail Shuts Down On Receiving Some E-mails
Mar 15, 2009I presume that Vista mail is winmail.I find when I am downloading some e-mail, winmail reports an error and either shuts down or restarts. This only occurs with some e-mail i.e.that from some newspapers giving me e-mail bulletins of up-to-date news.eg. The Times online news. (UK) ,Can anyone explain why this happens, what is happening and how I can stop it from happening? When Winmail is restarted there is no problem viewing the e-mail.

Aug 3, 2009I would like the most direct answer as to how I can identify when my mailbox is approaching a "full" status. I was notified by a couple of senders today that they are receiving a failure notice for e-mails they have attempted to send. It seems to be only messages with attachments. I did a pretty thorough cleaning of my folders and thought I had made more room but senders are still getting the failure notice. I have reviewed some of the postings for exporting mail to an external hard drive and once again (due to my technical "handicap") need a direct set of instructions.

I've heard that it is 3,2 GB but I've also heard that it would be 4,0GB
(because 2^32 = 4.294.967.296. But then 64-bit systems could use over 18
exabytes of RAM, because 2^64 = 18.446.744.073.709.551.616? Isn't that a
little too much o.O).
I've also heard that Vista with SP1 ?recognizes? 4GB of RAM (earlier
windows reputedly recognized only 3GB of RAM so does this mean that from
Vista SP1 windowses *recognize* that 4th GB of RAM but can't *use* it?).

May 12, 2008some clue to improve the conncetion limit on Vista Sp1, cause i really need fast connection to work, i pay a lot for ISP, and cannot use it cause Window slimit it to 10, these days i try to use a AUTO PATCH to try to solve this problem. but i just recivie an DEATH BLUE SCREEN and need to re-format my new Hd. I have a GMail account with in the region of 24,000 messages but on a day to day basis, I'm only really interested in the most recent few hundred. Archiving isn't a solution as there are filters involved and an archived message with a filter applied is still in that filter, certain filters are up to thousands of messages as well. A most recent 200 messages option would be fantastic.

Under Local Computer Policy click or expand Adminstrative Templates next click or expand Network then click on Qos Packet Scheduler (remember dont click on the expander here just click on Qos Packer Scheduler) Now double click Limit reservable bandwidth (You will see Not configured which is the default settings but in reality Vista has already taken 20% of your bandwidth to reserve for updates and stuff like that.) Now click on Enabled then in the Bandwidth Limit (%) set it to 0 then click apply then reboot. tried it and it does work. no big dramatic gain but it works

This extreemly frustrating and I cant seem to find where I can enable that function. I only get a single popping sound as I try to load any WMA or MP3 file and it says "media changing" before it loads. But I can still play WMV files with sound and picture.
