Reset Username And Password On Windows Mail
Apr 22, 2009How do I reset my username and password on windows mail? It will not let me send or receive my mail. It wants me to verify that both are correct for my mail server. I've tried every username and password that I've ever used. I'm pullin' my hair out here! Can't think of anything else to do.

I have heard you can hold the reset button on the back of the wireless router but will this reset my wireless network? By that i mean... will i be able to connect with my laptop still through that wireless network or will i have to set it up again?

Apr 17, 2009My problem is that I have a legal copy of goldmine 5.7 that I installedon this new laptop.In the installation there was a screen to type in my username and passord to access goldmine in the future....and I left them both blank.Now i cannot get into my goldmine program and when I uninstall it and reinstall it does not give me the opportunity to pick a new username and password. Vista has stored some default username.

Mar 23, 2008I just acquired a new Fujitsu U810 UMPC, no optical drive. Before I had a chance to get to it, some smart person managed to power it up and force a shutdown during the initial Vista installation run. Now I keep getting "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, please restart the installation." I have tried Safe Mode and Repair (found no problems), and still get the same message. I heard there is a way to reset Vista to 'out of box' setting.

Mar 23, 2008I am having problems with my Windows Media Player 11 on Windows Vista Home Premium. I can no longer play any form of sound file unless its directly from a CD or a .wav file. I only get a single popping sound as I try to load any WMA or MP3 file and it says "media changing" before it loads. But I can still play WMV files with sound and picture. I thought that a solution to this problem might be to reset the player, but there seems to be no way of doing that without a clean reinstall of Vista.

May 10, 2010So after several software hardware fails and reinstalls of vista iv bit the bullet and bought 7 now with the several installs from vista and 1 install from 7 that bsod on me I noted that there seems to be 1 stick of tame that if I take out the bsod stops anyway as a last effort to see if it is that 1 stick inparticular I have swithched banks to test befor I write it of as faulty, so far so good touch wood nothing. my question now is.... Username/password After McAfee Uninstalled
Oct 24, 2009Windows Mail worked correctly for 1 year. I did not have the "password won't
save" problem at all.
McAfee Security Center was uninstalled and debris removal was performed
because I dislike McAfee (which came installed on the the computer.)
Avast Pro was installed because I like it.
Now, I have the Windows Mail "password won't save" problem. When I look at
the Account Properties, there's nothing in the password box. When I enter
the password and click Remember Password, check email, I get the popup
requesting username password. If I enter the info there, mail is received
and can be sent. Next time, it asks for username/pw again.
I have deleted the account, closed Windows Mail, recreated the account -
same problem.

After I type in the correct info, the same window appears and asks for username and password, again and again without allowing me to send or receive email. Aug 5, 2009I just discovered that my Username and Inspiron Folders are empty, with a blank folder picture as icon. When I click on either one of them I get the "Open with" scenario. Yet by right-clicking I am able to access "Properties". According to it the folders were modified on July 5 and 6 respectively and not by me, of course. Is there a way to correct this and, if so, how? Have no idea what could have caused it and can live with it, if necessary. Nothing else is effected.

Vista Does Not Recognize The Username And Password
Jul 7, 2008I have registered on this website and have not been able to log onto the site for which I've registered. I can access the site but when I attempt to use my username and password Windows Vista does not recognize the username and password I entered. I've reset the password and this program (Windows Vista) does not allow it to work for some reason. I can access the site and log on from any other computer but not my own computer. I have deleted the browsing history in an attempt to remove any stored info on the pc but that doesn't seem to work either.

Mar 23, 2008My wife tried to change the Username on the computer i put together for her. The only problem is that she changed the name somehow but it didn't change it in the OS. That is, when i go in through another user account it says the ORIGINAL name under users, NOT the name she made. Now the PROBLEM is that when the OS boots up it has her NEW name (that somehow didn't take), written in for the Admin account but the PASSWORD for the ORIGINAL account is the SAME (i.e. the password hint is the same as what i had made it originally).
Now the problem is that i can't change the USERNAME and there IS NO password for the name she made, cause it didn't take halfway through the process she said. The question is, how do i change the Username to the original name. that is, to the ACTUAL user name that is listed under users (the name she made is NOT listed under users).
