When I first set up yahoo mail plus for pop3 account I used my full email address instead of using the part in front of the @ sign for the Accouint Name/User Name and I have been looking for a way to access yahoo pop3 account settings to correct the problem and so far no luck and I was wondering if anybody has seen this problem before?

Now everytime i download something the download works but then the security question pops up and says i require a password and i have to type it below but it wont let me type it below because the setting: require password when computer wakes needed administrator account to function but now because i have standard it wont let me type a password. i tried changing the account type but the same thing happens and i tried: change settings that are curently unavailable and its the same!

I have a problem and it's bugging me to the point of turning me neurotic! I bought my Vista laptop from "Comet" and I have no idea how to delete all of their information from my computer. Whatever I do the folder C/Users/Comet appears everywhere - hundreds of times in the registry. I cannot delete it from User Accounts because for some reason it doesn't appear there at all - just my own admin account. It will not allow me to rename it (that would just screw up the system anyway, I expect). I want to remove all references to COMET. But how? What if I took it back to the shop? But would my data be and settings preserved?

So that account sits there, unused, and I've decided to remove it. The problem is that I don't know how. When i was making it I accidently changed my first administrative account to standard and didnt change it back before i logged off. Now I cant login in to an administrative account or change the dword value back to 1 so i can login because i dont have adminstrative permission. When i try to do this or change the account back to adminstrator it says "To continue type an administrators password and press ok. BUT their is nowhere to type and the ok is shaded so i cant press it! WHAT do i do! Is their another way i can login?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows Live Mail account and a Yahoo account and they both show up on the left hand side of my Window Live Mail account so I can choose which account I want to use or, for example, which inbox to look in. At the bottom, also on the left hand side of my Windows Live Mail account, it shows 'Add e-mail account', which is what I want to do with a new 'AOL' account and I want it to show on the left hand side like the two other accounts.
So I made a new AOL e-mail account, clicked 'Add e-mail account' at the bottom of my 'Windows Live Account', then I put in my new AOL e-mail account and password where it showed me. Then I clicked next.
The next page was all about my email server. When I did this before with a new e-mail account, it was all filled out automatically for me, but this time, all the blanks were left open and I have no idea what to fill in. I believe once I have this information, the AOL e-mail account will automatically then show on the left hand pane of my Windows Live Mail account below the other two accounts.
I use a admin account on my computer but when I added standard user account it will not open some web pages for example when I go to my yahoo mail it will show the email but when I click on it, it will not show any text, but when I use the administrator account the web page works fine, I can see and read all emails. Another example is when I go to ask.com and search under the standard user it comes up as a blank page but will show search results under the administrator account. I have windows vista home and 7.0 explorer.

My problem is that I have a legal copy of goldmine 5.7 that I installedon this new laptop.In the installation there was a screen to type in my username and passord to access goldmine in the future....and I left them both blank.Now i cannot get into my goldmine program and when I uninstall it and reinstall it does not give me the opportunity to pick a new username and password. Vista has stored some default username.
My windows mail was working fine. Now it keeps asking for my username and password. I know it is correct and when I enter it, it asks for it again. If I press cancel it gives me this error.

Windows Mail worked correctly for 1 year. I did not have the "password won't
save" problem at all.
McAfee Security Center was uninstalled and debris removal was performed
because I dislike McAfee (which came installed on the the computer.)
Avast Pro was installed because I like it.
Now, I have the Windows Mail "password won't save" problem. When I look at
the Account Properties, there's nothing in the password box. When I enter
the password and click Remember Password, check email, I get the popup
requesting username password. If I enter the info there, mail is received
and can be sent. Next time, it asks for username/pw again.
I have deleted the account, closed Windows Mail, recreated the account -
same problem.
I use Windows Mail and have had no trouble until now. When I try to access my email, a window appears asking for my username and password. After I type in the correct info, the same window appears and asks for username and password, again and again without allowing me to send or receive email. What is going on and how can I resolve this issue?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just discovered that my Username and Inspiron Folders are empty, with a blank folder picture as icon. When I click on either one of them I get the "Open with" scenario. Yet by right-clicking I am able to access "Properties". According to it the folders were modified on July 5 and 6 respectively and not by me, of course. Is there a way to correct this and, if so, how? Have no idea what could have caused it and can live with it, if necessary. Nothing else is effected.

I have registered on this website and have not been able to log onto the site for which I've registered. I can access the site but when I attempt to use my username and password Windows Vista does not recognize the username and password I entered. I've reset the password and this program (Windows Vista) does not allow it to work for some reason. I can access the site and log on from any other computer but not my own computer. I have deleted the browsing history in an attempt to remove any stored info on the pc but that doesn't seem to work either.
