I used to think I was relatively sophisticated using Word & Outlook Express. I had a dyn-o-mite signature with hyperlinks. I just got Windows Vista I'm having a lot of trouble with my signature. I can't get three hyperlinks.
View 9 RepliesI have a simple question. I have been using Windows Mail Desktop for awhile. I love it, except for two things. The one problem I have is when I am on the internet and there is a link to an email, if you click on it it brings up a window for sending an email. My signature does not show in that. How do I get it to show in that? I looked at all the options and I didn't see where I could do that. My sigature only shows when I click new messages, or replying. Not when I open up an email window from a link on the internet. How do I do that?
Also, I asked this before but is there a way that they are going to update windows mail and do where they auto fill out the email addresses when you are typing them out? I know right now they only store 31? Is there a way they are going to do more??
I am trying to set up signatures for 5 accounts. I have followed the instruction given by Microsoft, but either I get the default signature on all 5 accounts, or no signature on any account and no option to even insert the signature manually. Anyone had this issue and found a solution?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried unsuccessfully to set up different signatures for the five email addresses I use. These addresses are used for five different interests. However I try I still get the signature for the default address whenever I click "Create Mail." The default email address is shown,with the default signature. When I change the outgoing email address in the address bar the signature shown is still the same. So I tried to use the Insert feature by unticking "always use signature etc" and clicking "insert" on the toolbar of the message. However the option to add signature is always greyed out.

3. Widows easy transfer.
Everything is fine but the signatures. They look grayed out and when I click on them Windows mail crashes immediately.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI keep getting these spam emails from random valid email addresses telling me I have X amount of dollars waiting for me in a online casino. Every time i delete and block the emails address i get another from another email address generated. Its obviously spyware, I have run AVG and spybot and it hasnt fixed the problem. I cant adjust my spam filters cause sometimes theres important emails which get IDd as SPAM by accident. Is there anyway to fix this?

However the folder for email is now on his desktop, and is called Old Email backup. I know that one of these days he is going to delete it and wonder where his email went. What is the default folder it should have created the email in? I will move it there.

Control panel default settings will not allow option to disable Windows Mail. (grayed out). Register Hotmail software says only Vista but I am using Vista. But if I do a select all the blank space turns blue as if something is there. When I get mail from ex. USAJobs, the entire body of the email is blank. Some others the text directing me to "having trouble viewing this email click here" and then it takes me to their website. I have the block pics box unchecked and I am running vista with PCTools Spyware doctor. Also email from friends and family the pictures show up with no problems. The only problem I am having is from commercial sites. And yes I even added them to my allow list.

i have a laptop connected to the same wireless router & it works fine,
but it is using outlook.
I now have a brand new HP m9100z and can not get email to work at all. My other machine is an HP s3123w aka "slimline". Both run windows vista home premium. On the slimline, email works just fine. On the new machine, nadda. Zip, zero. Can not get email to work using any client I have.
Thunderbird, windows mail, forte agent, all say "login failed". Even though both machines are setup exactly the same. The difference in the two machines is that the new one now has a wifi card and dual ntsc tuners. My domain works fine through browsers so I can get email through the website. Just can't do it on this machine. So what tricks can I try to get email to work?

Since then my email accounts started having problems. I can only receive email on one account. but was able to receive all email accounts one the main Desktop which is wired to the router. Now I have replaced this desktop with a new one it also runs Vista, and now the same thing has happened; I only receive email from one account. I tried deleting all accounts and set them all up again same problem. I have MS Office 2003 which has office outlook and it to does the same thing. I tried deleting accounts on both trying to single out the possibility of conflict, but still no luck.

Two issues that have been coming up for me are that my email settings in Outlook won't allow me to bring in my email (IMAP/SMTP set up) and the second is that any time I try to change my office assistant it keeps telling me I don't have enough memory (!). What's going on with this? After all, this is a 3 GB machine, things that worked on my 1 GB shouldn't have a problem.
