I just created my account and it is not working. This is the error mesage I get: The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. I am able to receive email from my windows live account into Windows Mail. But when ever I try to send it comes back with errors. I have checked and rechecked over and over again the settings. It comes back with this error no matter who I use as the email address I am sending it to.
About a week ago, I realized I could no longer send email. Same goes for my laptop on my home wireless network. Everything has been working fine for years and I don't recall making any changes that might affect the email. I have changed to port 587 and checked the authenticity required box but it didn't do any good. I went through Comcasts instructions for setting up email using Windows Vista, but it's still a no go. Another suggestion I read about is email scanning software. I turned of Norton 360 email scanner but it didn't fix the problem.

I have 2 computers, one has Outook (xp) and one has Windows mail (vista) both set up for the same email address. When I receive an email on Windows and open it, it doesn't appear on the Outlook computer. Anything received on Outlook always comes through on Windows.
How can I get my email to always appear on both computers?
Also, the Windows Vista computer will only receive email, I get an error message when I try to send:

i use Windows Mail on Vista Service pack 2. I can receive E Mails but cannot send them. My ISP is Tiscali and I've tried 4 times to resolve this with them without succsess. I am able to receive mails but very often i can't send those in the box to send out. Sometimes it takes more than 2 days to go out as now. Actually, two of them go out after one day waiting while others stay still in the box. I use windows mail [Version 6.0.6000.16386 (vista_rtm.061101_2205) ] and windows vista In Spain the use of Yahoo is free.
