Aug 23, 2009i have a new laptop x64. i click on the mail icon on the toolbar & get nothing. Does anyone know how to activate it?

Cannot Send Mail :: Activate Hotmail Account?
May 10, 2009I cannot send mails via my hotmail e-mail address for approximately two months; when I try to send one I get a notification saying that I have to activate my hotmail account. When I click on the link to activate it and enter the confirmation code as required I get a page with a error code on it. How can I solve this issue if needed I can provide additional details.

Apr 17, 2010I accidentally deleted the Mail icon from the Start Menu (Vista Ultimate x32) and a ballon came up with the steps to restore this which instantly disappeared. I run Office 2007 with Outlook as the default mail client. I did manage to create the shortcut for Outlook 2007 and drop it on the Start Menu and it works. However, on right click it does not give the three options (E-Mail Accounts; Data Files; Show Profiles) that was part of the standard options. I am able to access these options from the Control Panel (Mail) but would prefer to restore the Start Menu. I did re-install Office suite but it did not change. Is there a way to restore this back?

May 15, 2010PC: HP Windows Media Center PC m8200n; Monitor HP w1907. November 2007. OS: Windows Vista Home Premium. HP: Deskjet F4180. So I noticed that the printer icon for my printer became all white, IE a corrupted icon. So I went online and found information on how to refresh your icon folder. That didn't do anything. So I thought I'd uninstall and reinstall.
I have tried to reinstall my HP software from disc, and I get a 'new PSSWCORE.msi' file. I see the file on the install disc, yet it won't install. 'Network resource is unavailable.'
Now I cannot uninstall it. On my Add/Remove I see:
HP Customer Participation Program 9.0
HP All In One Software 9.0
HP Imaging device Functions 9.0
HP On-Screen Cap/Num/Scroll Lock Indicator
HP Photosmart Essential
HP Update
How can I get these off my PC, and reinstall cleanly so I can use my rinter/scanner again?
Start Menu Icon But Displays A Generic Icon
Apr 19, 2008I installed new software and pinned the executable to the start menu. But, Vista displays a generic icon in the start menu for this program. All other programs pinned to the start menu display the correct icon. Any way to get Vista to dispaly the proper icon for this program??

But then I had to Defrag my whole Computer and the little sticker that was on the bottom of my Laptop with the Windows Info came off and then my Mother cleaned my room and she threw away the sticker. Re-install Not Activate
Mar 26, 2008I had to reinstall Vista due to malware that I could not get off my computer. I could not do a repair, and now Vista is new on my system. The problem is that I now cannot activate it, and I get a notice that says that I need to enter a new number. I do not think that I need to, but I don't know how to reactivate. I called Microsoft, but the person (honestly) hung up on me.

Mar 23, 2008I was using my purchased Vista Ultimate just fine on my first PC. But I just upgraded the motherboard and pretty much everything else. Now it's a new PC. So I took my Vista install CD, installed it on my new machine. Now I can't activate it. It won't let me saying it's already been activated. I recall someone told me that Vista activation is tied to the initial hardware you install it on. Is this really the case? If so, there has to be a resolution to this as Microsoft can't be that stupid to restrict you like this. I mean how am I supposed to upgrade my fing PC!? What do I do? I don't want to spend $60 on a support ticket. I tried to put in my PID which also now it's saying has expired!

One piece of advice was to log on to the C prompt as system administrator? I tried to right click on the prompt but there is nothing on the drop down menu that allows me to do this.
