View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my Dell Inspiron 700 laptop, (with intel integrated graphics) wmp crashes when playing wmv files. The laptop is running windows xp home with sp2. I have no problems using winamp playing .wmv files. I have tried upgrading to IE7 and installing Windows Media Player 11 and it does not resolve it. I even tried uninstalling wmp 11, and then uninstalling/re-installing windows media player 10 and it still doesn't fix the problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy hard drive recently got corrupted and I had to install WP XP Home, instead of XP Professional that I had previously. After installation and downloading WMP, I was unable to play any MPEG files that previously worked. WMP gives me the following error - C00D11B1. Even the files thumbnails dont look the same (currently look like generic files). However, the MPEGs work fine when I play them in Quicktime and even iTunes. I downloaded/bought a plug-in from the WMP website which I think gives me MPEG-2 decoder/DVD software etc. However, I think that relates to DVD play etc, while I am more concerned about the videos from my Sony Digital Camera which still dont work. Am I missing any drivers etc that I need to download? Btw music files work fine, and this only relates to videos.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a voicemail service that I access either by phone or online. I've been having trouble playing messages online and saving messages to my hard disk. Left-clicking on a message should open a WMP 10 window and play the message. The problem is that it works sporadically. One minute I can play a message fine, then I'll try playing another one and it might play fine, but it might not. If not, the bottom of the window says ''connecting...'' and nothing happens.
If I right-click on a message to get a menu that includes, ''save target as'' and choose this option, I get a ''file download'' window that says ''getting file information''. Then either a ''save as'' (?) window is displayed or the ''file download'' window gets stuck saying ''getting file information.''
My Windows Media player 10 is trying to play some video clips as songs rather than video clips. This has only recently happened. Do I need to purchase some
decoder to fix it or is there a down oad for it?
Downloaded SP2 for Windows XP Home and immediately lost all video (not audio) in both Real Player and Windows Media Player. Removed each of these and reloaded "fresh" version - same problem. Then removed SP2 and presto - video returns.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving recently had someone else using my computer for a while, installing various software (like winamp and SubEdit player) it seems windows media player (that's what I use) no longer recognises the usual files as media files like .mp3 .wmv .m3u .avi etc etc so when I click open file and select "media files (all types)" in the file type box it shows nothing, so I have to change it to all files which is irritating. Media player still plays everything fine but this is pretty annoying.

For months I had no problem ripping cd's and playing the music on WMP10. Suddenly the system will no longer do either. Clicking on any of the listed songs results in other music playing which, obviously was not affected. I might add that listed number of times previously played were all erased. Has a new policeman for copyrighted music shown up somehow?
View 20 Replies View RelatedOk, so recently i experienced this typing problem where typing took up a bunch of CPU in the task manager and lagged out everything. When i would try to play a game for example; i would press and hold w to walk and my computer would freeze until i let go, stopping all the video and sound. So i went into the computer and took out the CMOS battery for a minute or two put it back in and restarted my computer. NO TYPING PROBLEMS! But then on my next boot up they come back again?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAt some point, in the last week, or so, I started to download this program. Within seconds, my computer froze. I could not back out of the download or even shut down from the START menu. I had to do so manually.Ever since, I see two boxes on Start-up: one says "TrayApp" and asks me to insert a CD-rom disk to access the program. Another says "Error 1706" and that no valid source can be found for TrayApp product. Every so often, I see a screen asking me to insert a disk for Viewpoint Media Player. My CD-rom drive is not functioning, so I couldn't do that, in any case, even if I had the disk.

Copy and rename the folder.jpg to AlbumArtSmall.jpg. Resize to 75 x 75.The Album Art will now adjust automatically to fit the now playing window in Full Mode.* You can use the 'Resize Picture' included in the WinXP Powertoys for resizing.
